I must admit that I don't use heavy apps, like games. Anyway, standard apps (browsing, photos, social, ...) all open very fast.
I find huge apps running at a very impressive speed, it opens my Blink security system panel within less than 1.5 seconds (I can barely count before it loads), camera and web browser open just as fast as my Blink security system.

Larger apps will take a few seconds to load as expected. Small every day apps launch with very respectable speed. You can only notice the difference if you have a high end phone side by side.

Apps open at fast blazing speed. Gaming need some time to open just few seconds difference compared to Snapdragon device. Rest , apps ,social apps everything opens so smooth and fast and also easy in multi tasking

Pretty much instantaneous. Even mapping and navigation apps with offline map files load and are ready to use in less than a second. No complaints in that area.
I concur apps are loaded nearly instantaneously even when not in the background.
