Hello for everyone,
I've a problem with app Camera(version 2.2.2.A.0.15) If I want to take a picture and i touch on display or a physical button on the side of the phone the reaction is changing to big white button(normally is one smaller white button and one red button(red for recording videos). Even that I touch a big white button on camera app doesn't take any photo.
A pity that I can't here put a screenshot.

i have the same problem. My device is a Xperia XZ2 Compact with Camera Version 2.2.2.A.0.15. Sometimes the camera works as expected, but mostly the camera preview stays black or "unknown error" forces the camera app to close.
Did you found any solution? The device is on H8324_Customized DE_52.1.A.3.49-R3C.

Seeing as the HD has no flash, Apple have a neat trick on the webcam Apple LCD home screens when you take a photo of yourself the LCD goes full bright and goes all white for a split second whilst it takes the photo. This acts as a flash substitute.
Could a similar utilisation be found or made for the HD, perhaps a script which can turn up the brightness on screen, white out your screen and then activate shutter release then return settings to normal. This would obviously only help you if your using self camera - rather than the 5megapixel camera.
Might be a useful too though, if there is a way to activate the camera outside of the normal HTC tool for doing so.
This trick could also be applied to other self facing camera types.

My English is not very good but i will try to describe it.
I have bought an SE X1 black three weeks ago (after i selled an X1 in silver)
Now i make all the good stuff from the forum on my X1 and yesterday i try the camera.
I press the button, the camera starts to make a photo.
Then i press the button again to autofocus and the camera starts the focus, but again and again and the buttons come and go. after i pull down the button to shoot a photo the camera focus again and after 5-10 seconds shoot the photo.
This situation comes every photo i shoot.
With my X1 Silver i don't have this problems ;(
Does anybody know about my problem?

I would try to change the focus settings so it dont require your pointing on what it will focus one a feature i never much liked myself

As above, I bought this camera second hand knowing that the camera was not working (I can install new camera myself).
Before I buy a new camera or the camera board, can I find out if the camera can be turned on or of in the registry?
Both the front and the rear camera not working, when I go to "Camera and Videos"
and press the camera icon it changes from white to black (the icon) but nothing happens. I can watch the photos and videos.
My thinking is that either the "Rigid-flex board" has to be changed or the cameras themselves has to be changed. But both cameras would not crap themselves at the same time?
I try to see if I can find anything in the forum but after more then a week search I gave up.

hello! it's just me in the camera does not allow me to focus in the whole left side of the screen? I'll explain when I press to focus on the entire central and right out the circle of focus come and so the image is focused, while on the left, across the strip below the key settings, if I press does nothing and the circle of focus doesen't appear.I have deleted the cache of the camera and does the same problem, while other cameras like the google cam work correctly .I haven't problem to touch because it works well on any app and also in test mode. it's the same for all the note 4? also you have this problem?How i can solve it?

It seems that you can only touch to focus in the center and just beyond the center of the frame - not near those buttons. This appears very much by design, and I'm sure Sammy wanted to avoid people accidently pressing buttons when they wanted to refocus - if you need to focus on something on the edge of the screen, bring the object to the middle of your viewfinder, press and hold (to lock focus) and re-frame the shot.
Glad I'm not alone with focusing problems...

Just wondering if someone have camera problem like this.
My front camera (selfie), doesn't work. When i change from my back camera to front, it just stays black but with all camera buttons (take photo, flash on/off...) After that i can only press home button to get me to home screen. When i start camera again , it happen all the same, so if i want to change to back camera i need to press quickly "camera change".
Is this software or hardware problem? I tried to clear cash but problem stays, also tried other cam apps.
