I am stuck in bootloop with oem unlock off in developers options in settings in my device Mi A1
I installed custom rom (corvus 8.5) few days ago and wanted to switch to stock rom again so I flashed stock rom through xiaomi flash tool
But I accidentally selected save user data in the tool
then I also turned off the oem unlocking option in the developers option (My biggest mistake)
some ota update came and when I tried to install them, my phone stuck to bootloop
i did quite a few research in internet and found out about edl mode in qualcome devices
so i have a few questions which are as follows:
1) can i fix my phone through other means instead of edl mode
2) can i boot into edl mode without shorting the test points or without tearing my device
3) does edl cable work with mi a1?
I went to service center near me, the technician told that the board should be replaced
Importand note: my device is booting into fastboot mode

Just wanted to warn you on the last Miui China Stable rom they is no more EDL mode, if you wan't to flash another rom you can only do it via the Update app (so only official rom).
If you wan't to flash another rom, you will first have to flash China Developer Rom, unlock bootloader and then flash your custom files.
all roms 8.1.X.X have locked EDL (deep flash cable wont work) but all of them have option in developer menu to unlock bootloader, so you can flash roms (even official) with fastboot like in edl
You can flash this rom with mi flashtool, if you use edl cap!

I have a problem and I need help.
I trying to install the gcam on my Mi A1, but it didn't work very well and my phone had some performance problems. So I went to reinstall the ROM of the mobile via MiFlash and did the whole process, unlocked the bootloader via CMD and everything, and worked.
However, when I started the smarthphone, I saw that the device is in bootloop mode, I can only see the white screen and the logo of Xiaomi or put it in fastboot mode. I tried to unlock the bootloader to install the ROM and this photo error appears. I can not install the system again because it has to have the bootloader unlocked.

I took in a technical assistance and they said that his internal memory has been corrupted, and they can not do anything.

Hi! Today, I decided to try to install GCam on my Mi A1 running the August 2018 update. I have successfully installed the GCam Mod on my Mi A1. But when I wanted to lock the bootloader, I accidentally wiped clean all my data and now there is a pop-up stating my system has been destroyed. I cannot boot into the stock ROM, however, I can enter fastboot. So, I tried flashing the stock ROM into my phone using the XiaoMiFlash tool. It failed and showed me an error message. That error message can be seen here: imgur.com/a/naxM0WB (sorry I haven't posted enough posts to grant me URL sharing). I assume the error was caused because my phone has a screen lock. Also, the ADB drivers don't recognize my device and my phone also failed to enter EDL mode. BTW I'm a newbie to this and I cannot do anything that will involve me opening the device.
Can anyone please help me flash the stock ROM?

SOLVED: So, it turns out that you need to unlock your device with Mi Unlock and everything will be back to normal.
You have locked your bootloader with modified system. Unlock it and reflash stock ROM.
- hello people, i have a zte axon7 a2017g , stock rom oreo , i tried to flash Android 7.1 , many roms _full edl naugat and oreo to unlock bootloader because i want to develop things for it. As of now, I can't boot into phone( system), can't get into edl mode with button combination but, i can go into dfu mode and use a tool to go in edl mode. So please help me.. i have tried miflash, multidl tool, and may other tools they give me error of firehose , or sahara protocol . i have only dfu mode then i can go by sa tool of diijkuz tool automaically to edl mode , but everytime i flashed a rom told me failure , just the first time succeed but stuck on logo screen then wheni flash it told me failure .
Have you tried to completely drain the battery?

If you drain the battery completely it will be easy to enter edl.
You can use edl tools to unlock the bootloader.
What I would do would be once you have the battery drained, connect the pc and flash a stock edl nougat rom.
Once flashed and started the rom, it will be easy to unlock the bootloader, put twrp and install what you want

yes i tried with drain batteri two times but no progress , it's just on naugat rom and stuck on logo , i tried also to unloack bootloader , it told me unloacked on the edl tool but when i boot on bootloader , the state is locked , may be because the rom naugat not flash correctly , or because it'stuck on logo .
i try with naugat b12_Full edl ,oreo b02 _fulledl , , but it told me failed this time otherwise at first naugat _b12_full edl say successfully done.
now i just can make phone on dfu mode and try with the edl tool of dijkiz to go automaticlly to edl mode and flash , but it told me failed flashing .
what i should do then !!! can u recommend to me a stock rom naugat and give me a link about it , i can flash it with edl tool and how i can directly go to edl mode because now i just have dfu mode then i use a version of edl tool make me go directly to edl mode but may be it's not work fine !!!
Ps : My problem is that am stuck on logo after downgrading from stock rom oreo b02 to naugat , shoyuld i search about a boot recovery to flash boot and boot in system or if ther is another tools or rom can i use them to solve my problem

The camera app in my father's Poco M3 couldn't connect to the camera. So, I decided to flash a fastboot from Mi Flash Tool. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong firmware to flash, i.e., flashed the global version instead of the Indian version. Now the device is bricked, I can't boot into fastboot again and am stuck in EDL mode. When connected to a PC the device is recognized as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 908 (COM20)"
Tried flashing the Indian firmware using Mi Flash Tool. Mi Flash Tool asks for an authorized mi account and the process is stuck in "edl authentication".
Currently, I'm draining the battery using a rubber band+cotton bud in hope that it would boot into fastboot after showing the charging logo once the battery is drained.
