There aren't many devices that come preloaded with android 10+ that currently have twrp support. There have been some changes to the partition structure that make supporting 10+ difficult. Anything that requires changes to the boot or recovery partition, will require some modifications going from a device that was preloaded with android 9 or lower versus one preloaded with 10+. Magisk seems to be making a lot of progress on that front but as far as I know the Onn 100003561 & 100003562 are not currently supported by twrp or magisk. Last I checked magisk canary was still causing boot loops on the 62. I intended to try pulling a log to help with development but haven't done anything with that yet. That said I haven't gotten around to doing much research into it in about a month or so. If anyone else knows different, please let us know.
If you're simply after root access, you may be able to use something like kingo but I've never trusted those apps and don't know much about them.

Rooting SM-S920L

Tracfone version
I'm having no luck with Kingroot. It says no root available for device.
According to 'one-click-root' website, the device has no way of rooting it.
Is there any updated information?
.
device specifics:
model: SM-S920LZAATFN
android: 5.0.2
build: LRX22G.S920LUDU1APK2
hardware version: S920L.03
.
[edit: was hoping to change the title to reflect that this post is about the tracfone version]
TWRP recovery method?
TWRP recovery method?
I've read that a phone may possibly be able to be rooted by using odin to download a TWRP recovery, then booting into that new recovery using hardware keys, instead of rebooting normally. And this results in a rooted phone?
I think I have seen a TWRP that may work with this phone. Any help is appreciated. I'd like to be able to update this thread to include a step by step approach to this and other versions of the same model 920.
I'll continue to post updates as I discover more information.
DIY time : crash course in brain surgery
Ok, so I've read a bit of stuff in the forums on the SM-S920L, mostly about the StraightTalk variant, which apparently uses the same system rom, though I'm not so sure.
At any rate, rather than just throw carp at the phone and hope it sticks, I'm going to teach myself how to do it all myself, a-z, 1,2,3... etc., starting with making stock images of the various components, for recovery purposes. Perhaps the phone can be used as a TracFone again someday, though I have no desire to do so, having already bought another for cheaper that even works better, though not as fancy, just newer.
So, I'll leave it here for now and just update the primary with new information as I discover it, starting with the extraction of the stock images, hopefully without goofing up the phone, lol.
This is an unpopular phone, at least for hackers. But it will be a good tool for expanding my knowledge.
Any help appreciated, such as, 'Is this even necessary? There are files here here and here that will do it all'.
(lol, nope... so far I've discovered there is no root option, kingroot no work, etc. There seems to be no posts with information specifically regarding the TracFone 'variant' of this model. It suggests that i can use the StraightTalk files for it, which may work, but there are many questionable unanswered problems.)

Definitely don't use kingroot.
Do you have a laptop or pc? If so I can help you out. I have the same phone. Mine is straight talk, but it's sm-s920l a tracefone just through straight talk.

Ya I got the straight talk, I have been using king root but I totally bricked and wiped my phone on purpose because I wanted to start fresh and let it update. Having a problem though I used twrp and nuked all my ****, or so I thought. I'm trying to OTA update I'm currently on 5.0.2 and it's saying I have a system update and even after I checked everything to be deleted it still says error and one of my files is modified or some**** like that. I think it's like admin.prop so **** it. I do however want to go systemless root. What do you suggest is the best root and rom for our device?
To answer op question yes your phone is the same as ours. Mine even shows tracphone on boot.

Well for our phone there is only one custom ROM and it's LineageOS 13.0 https://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-galaxy-t3491494 It's android 6.0 and it can be rooted too. It's not being updated anymore for our device as far as I know. There is Lineage 14.* but not for our variant.
For systemless root you'll want to go with Magisk. https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 I had Lineage, and don't get me wrong it's worth checking out, but I downgraded back to stock and went with Magisk. You can even get Xposed throughMagisk.
If I was you, I would flash back to stock. You can go to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 and download the first two, Stock Boot and Stock Recovery. Make sure to unzip them because you need the md5 files they extract. I'd wipe everything again and then get into download mode. On your PC fire up Odin, I'm using version 3.10 http://odindownload.com/download/clean/Odin_3.10.0.zip Click BL use the stick boot md5 and then under ap use the stock recovery md5. When it reboots and you set it up do not turn reactivation lock on.
If you don't already have Magisk on your sd card get it on there and install through twrp. It will ask if you want to root. Might make a back up after. I always make backups and then transfer from sd to my pc. I can restore to like 6 different versions of my phone right now lol I'm no expert, I haven't been messing around with all this for long so I hope that all makes sense. :fingers-crossed:

Haha ya it does I just wish they didn't treat our phone like it has Ebola or some****. All kinds of **** for the other ones. I agree on the magisk because I really want to try that out. Alright thanks for all the helpful links I come to this site to find **** for ours and I end up looking at a bunch of cool stuff I can't have.
I'm waiting on the pixel 2 XL before I upgrade. We just missing out on too much stuff. I think magisk will keep me busy in the meantime though. Thanks again man I'm Soo add once I get here on all the stuff then I wonder well will this work or this work and by then just like awwww **** it.

Hey, I thought I'd let you know LineageOS 14.1 is available to us now. I can't find a specific thread on it, but you can download it from http://grandprime.ddns.net/jenkins/job/LOS_Builds/# Flash it with twrp. You will want to flash that and then flash open gapps [ARM - 7.1] and then whichever from here http://opengapps.org/ I did all that first, set it up rebooted and then installed Magisk.
It has Substratum pre-installed and it let's you theme it nicely. There is only an unofficial xposed version so far.
Anywho, thought I'd throw that out there.
thanks for the replies, gives me inspiration to keep on trying; the phone is pretty ho-hum with default stuff and the general blah blah of social media, etc.;
thanks for the tips, feel free to post more details as they come in
My Turn
I'm about to try and put 14.1 and Magisk on mine. Wish me luck!
downloading twrp recovery and rooting
in google search up twrp click on the first link then click on devices on the top right corner then search up your phone download the twrp.img.tar file
power off your phone and press volume down + home button + power button to boot into download mode
in odin select AP then select the twrp.img.tar you downloaded then press start
your phone will reboot then download the SuperSU zip file
then go to settings then go to find my mobile you have to get a samsung account then you will see reactivation lock option turn that off
then power off your phone then press volume up + home button + power button to reboot into twrp recovery
once booted tap the install option then select where you downloaded the supersu zip file swipe to flash it once done flashing you will see the reboot system option to reboot your phone
then your phone should be rooted!

Im attempting to get info or at least start a thread on the possibility of ROOTING the (Walmart) ONN Surf 100005208 10.1"
It's a rebranding of the ONA19TB003. Same hardware, new name.

As @razredge stated, the Onn Surf 10.1 is merely a rebranding of its predecessor tablet. The Surf 10.1 can be rooted with or without TWRP. Follow the guides on rooting the previous Onn 10.1. Everything works exactly the same. TWRP is fully compatible as well.
can you share your stock firmware with me
no
the thing was a brick when i attempted the mod its a MT8768WA chipset not MT8163

Regardless of chipset platforms, both Onn 10.1" tablet variants can be rooted using the same TWRP and the same root method, and without TWRP by fastboot flashing a Magisk patched boot image.

Also how does one patch the image with magisk if the magisk software does not work on said tablet?
As well as how does one dump the images when so flash nor mt software doesn’t recognize the image.

Well, you just taught me something I wasn't aware of. I have not yet seen the Onn 10.1" variant with preloaded Android 10. My variant (Onn Surf 10.1, Model No. 100005208) came with Android 9 Pie. And I was able to root it using the TWRP build from my tablet's predecessor, which had the same chipset and also rah on Android 9 Pie. You seem to be referring to an entirely new variant that ships with Android 10. What is your exact model number and your current firmware build number? I'll see what I can find out.

It just got a silent OTA update which I was trying to find in the saved directory but it went right to it and installed before i had a chance to pull it. ****ing thing has been a pain since i got it. trying to root and remove bloat bc its a decent setup and could run pretty fast if it were a clean android OS.
To answer your question it is the ONN 10003562 with MT8768WA Chipset ill update with the firmware one i fix the damn thing it bricked on me again while removing bloatware. this thing has some kinda tamper check or something. i get it starting to run really nice without root and then on reboot its a brick.

So you have yet another variant of the Onn 10.1" tablet. That's good to know. My 100005208 was merely a rebranding of its predecessor but it appears now that Onn has released yet another variant. Yeah, hold off on trying to root right now. Anything released with Android 10 out of the box uses the system-as-root (SAR) implementation. While Magisk does support SAR, the rooting process has changed up some. I'll see what I can dig up for you.

ok thanks. the only thing I am able to really do is remove some bloatware. but even then it still runs like ****. I found some OTA's in one of the threads here and also its supposedly a stock from the box backup but the scatter doesnt match the chipset. I was hoping someone could inform me if there is a way to get an android ten backup of the older device and swap out keys or whatever the thing is checking for when it boots and flash it.
very limited with no real su so stuff wont work right when I delete certain bloatware. Also if anyone can inform as to how I can even pull my firmware and recover.img and boot.img etc. I have tried MTK device or whatever that software is as well as sp flashtool and nothing seems to read the device rom. can see the device but cant pull. its been so long since ive used or attempted to root an android device im out of practice.

Earlier, you mentioned a "silent OTA." Could you elaborate on that? Did the OTA install seamlessly, without rebooting to recovery? I'm wondering if your variant has A/B partitions.

When I said silently I meant I was sitting at the computer with the tablet hooked up in adb mode and i walked away for maybe 3 minutes to relieve myself and upon returning the tablet was rebooting and installing an update. I swear I had the automatic updates in dev mode turned to off.
Here is what I gather from the device.

Thanks for the stats. Yeah it looks like you're fully Treble supported but non-A/B. Ok just to make sure I'm not missing something, sort of give me a simple outline on everything you've done from start until now. Did you mention your device was a brick when you got it, or did you brick it initially attempting to root? How did you recover from the brick? I'm assuming SP Flash Tool and I recall you mentioned something about a mismatched scatter file. I believe I have a root solution for you but I want to make sure I have my info correct. Thanks for helping me to help you. You seem to know your Android well.
It was a soft brick via adb removal of bloat ware it was able to be restored from factory settings..
I think I may almost have it but i'm to afraid of flashing the boot.img bc I did brick the first one I had via sp flash. The firmware someone added in this thread a bit back says 100003562 but the chipset is MT6765 not the MT8768WA. I was able to mod that boot.img with magisk but as I stated I'm to afraid to flash it I tried the fastboot boot magiskpatched.img command it seemed to read with no errors but it shutdown and then rebooted. soo im afraid it may cause a loop. Im trying now to figure out a way to remove the dm verity check but have had no success as of yet. if i could just pull my own roms Im sure I could get this to root with magisk maybe.
link to larger files https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-j0wj9d0FuLxvHdvW8CjYICp3-xV00cs?usp=sharing
I cant seem to get SP Flash to read the device scatter properly Im unable to pull roms with readback I think i have to set it up manually?
I have attached the screenshots, rom, magisk image created as well as the bug report from soft brick.
It would Be soo much easier if i could get the DM verity off and or pull my roms.

Ok as you probably know, your device has SAR (system-as-root) implementation, because it shipped with Android 10. It appears that you will need to install Magisk to recovery ramdisk, because your boot image contains no ramdisk. Magisk does support this, as you probably know. Go to this link and look under the heading "Magisk in Recovery"
https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html#magisk-in-recovery
My Moto G7 Play is SAR as well, and has no boot image ramdisk, so I have it rooted with Magisk installed to recovery. It's different indeed, but as of now, it's the only root solution for SAR devices with recovery ramdisk implementations like yours and mine. Magisk will actually "live" within the recovery partition and actually becomes hijacked by Magisk. As you will read in the link I sent, it is still possible to use recovery mode. You will need to get a stock recovery image from somebody with your variant who has pulled the image, or from a stock firmware package. In sum, you will be patching your recovery image, not your boot image. Accordingly, you will be flashing your /recovery partition to achieve root, not your /boot partition. As you know, as long as you are bootloader unlocked, you can flash the patched recovery image using fastboot. You will not need a TWRP for root. In the link I sent, also look for the previous heading "Patching Images." To test and make sure I'm 100% right on this, install the latest Magisk Manager app on your device and open the app. Look in the "Ramdisk" section. If it says NO, then I'm right and you must install Magisk to recovery as I've stated. If it says YES I'm wrong and you need to disregard this entire post.
But please let me know the status on things, and if you manage to get Magisk systemless root installed properly.
Anyone have a 100003562 boot.img or recovery.img for the MT8678WA

Issues with rooted S5e running Lineage 17.1

I rooted my S5e (SM-T720) using the method outlined here. Everything seemed to go well, but three annoying issues became apparent as soon as I started using it. I could use some help troubleshooting them.
Chrome hangs frequently, becoming entirely unresponsive. Removing it from the multitasking pane and then relaunching solves the problem, but It happens quite often, and since reading on the Internet is one of my primary uses for this tablet, this is quite frustrating. I often have to relaunch about every 10 minutes or so. I rarely have many other apps open, and I rarely have more than 5 or 6 tabs open.
Google Assistant doesn't recognize my voice. When I go into settings and turn on Voice Match, the button which is supposed to turn on "Hey Google" responds, and walks me through voice training. It retrieves my voice match settings from my account, and after it completes that process, the next screen says that "Hey Google is ready," and after I click "Continue," I am returned to the main Voice Match settings, the "Hey Google" button is turned off. I have tried the "Teach your assistant your voice again," to no avail.
Most disturbingly, the tablet's screen unfailingly powers itself on immediately after powering off. It does so whether I have powered off using the power button, using the magnetic auto on/off function, or by allowing the screen to timeout. Needless to say, this is not conducive to effective battery management, and I really need to find a fix.
I don't recall the tablet doing any of these things prior to rooting/ installing Lineage, although I confess that my memory isn't improving with age. Luckily, I'm getting better-looking, insofar as I can remember. All assistance will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I just edited this post to fix a broken link, and to clarify that it is the tablet's screen which is powering back on, not the tablet itself.
Your root link doesn't work? How did you root? Are you running a current version of Lineage and current firmware?

I'm not quite sure how to answer your questions about the version of Lineage and the firmware. The build number identified in Settings/About tablet is lineage_gts4lvwifi-userdebug 10 QQ3A.200805.001 1c4e6536e3. The folder which was created when I unzipped the download of Lineage is named T720XXU1CTK1_T720OXM1CTK1_XAR. If this isn't the information you're looking for, can you please tell me where to find it?
Thank you for weighing in. I was beginning to think that no assistance would be forthcoming.

You don't need to do all that to root. At least not in your case. For the moment we'll go on the assumption that if you're running a recent build of LOS, you're on the new firmware, as it should check. Since you went with a "non-traditional" root method, I think I would try a reflash of LOS, basically the update method to replace anything that could have gotten "borked". This shouldn't harm any data or apps, as this is normal. Backups are never a bad idea though.
So I would try (from TWRP): (<-- Not sure which TWRP you are using, but make sure you are using at least 3.4.0-5, 3.5.0_9-0 is the latest)
- Flash Lineage (even if it's the same build as you have currently)
- Flash Gapps (if you use them)
- Flash Magisk (Magisk GitHub Here.)
- Reboot. Is it better?
I just tested 21.3 (magisk) on mine, no issues. Although I am running LOS 18.1 now.

Thank you for your suggestions. In preparing to implement them, new information came to light which might require that they be altered.
I attempted to perform a Titanium Backup, but when I opened the app, it informed me that I didn't have root. This was puzzling, as I had verified root before, both according to the technique suggested in the rooting instructions I linked to above, and with Root Checker. When I do so now, Root Checker indicates that I don't have root, and the procedure in my rooting instructions results in my tablet booting to TWRP.
Also, Magisk seems to have entirely disappeared from the tablet. I'm thoroughly confused at this point. Should I continue with your suggestions, or pursue other options?

I've had that happen before, typically after installing a new ROM. Usually just reflashing Magisk in TWRP fixes it. Then you can likely run Titanium Backup as planned.
Thanks for your further assistance. Unfortunately, the adventure continues; I can't flash Magisk!
When I attempt to do so from Main Storage, the Magisk zip file doesn't appear on the top level folder visible in TWRP, nor in any subfolder therein. When I attempt to do so from the SD card, I get an error message reading "Invalid zip file format! Error installing zip file '/external-sd/Magisk-21.4.zip'.
I have tried wiping the cache and Dalvik prior to installing Magisk, with the same outcome. I'm really at a loss.

Samsung T380 not rooting

Hi,
I have a SM-T380, and I tried to root it using magisk, It patched the boot.img file and I flashed it via odin, but for some odd reason when I open Magisk it says installed N/A.
I have the latest security patch (T380DXS4CUD3) (Android 9) and I already tried using the preserve AVB / preserve force encryption options.
I was wondering, there's no way to root this device on Android 9?I'm just trying out of fun since the tablet was laying around there.
any suggestions really appreciate it,
Waiting for someone to shed some light in to this matter. I tried all the possible procedure I found on google, but no luck.

If your still interested in rooting this device go to @Austcool post it worked for me.
custom-sm-t380-sm-t385-boot
Edit: 2022 I have tested it it fully works as of this year!!!. 😁 disclaimer, I am in no way responsible for this kernel screwing up you tablet so use at your own risk. to flash it simply open up settings enable developer options and enable OEM...

Its Defex use my boot.img it's related to Samsungs new Defex anti root privileges security feature you must build the kernel from source; I already built Defex disabled kernel Prerooted with magisk.
Thank you, I already installed a Custom Rom ( I think it was made by you) using the January 2020 Security Patch, I think the latest software update is also a security patch so is redundant.
My question is, is it possible that you can provide me a .zip with the original Samsung Galaxy Boot Logo animations from this tablet? the Rom has custom ones and it didn't had a backup of the originals, I need the:
bootup.qmg
bootloop.qmg
shutdown.qmg
also if you have the original PowerOn.ogg and ShutDown.ogg I would really appreciate it. Thanks for replying this old threat it really means a lot.

Was this my Oreo rom I cannot seem to find the download for it do you mind sharing the download link I was trying to grab some files from the old Oreo rom but I couldn't find it. Also I can get you the pie copys of the bootup.qmg and the bootloop.qmg shutdown.qmg but the files called PowerOn.ogg and ShutDown.ogg don't exist by default on the SM-T380 they are custom added by me you can ether add your own bootsounds files or remove them to boot without a poweron/shutdown sound.

I want to piggyback off of this thread because I'm experiencing the same problem...if anyone can help by giving a step-by-step instruction as to what worked that would be most appreciated
allanseth23 wrote that "this worked," but what did? You follow that link and there are six files, I tried it out and the following screens which I've never seen before showed up (see attached images)
I'm not new to this and I've rooted a wide variety of devices (including using firehose/engineering mode) so I'm really having some trouble understanding why rooting this ancient device five years after its release and almost a year past it's final update is so difficult
if someone can be so kind as to write a step by step "step one, load this via odin (file attached); step two load this via twrp (file attached)" that would be great because the information for this device is scattered across tens of pages and the posts are incomplete (they mention it's for Pie but don't mention on which build they were successful) - no one has collated all of this info to say what works and it would help lots of people, not just myself
I think that's the most frustrating part, the piecemeal information from posters regarding this device--I don't think I've ever waded in an XDA thread that was this broken before (it also doesn't help that all the Tab A models are pushed together into one subforum).
To be clear I'm running the very last software update for this device (AP T380DXS4CUD3) for SM-T380, device is OEM unlocked.
I just want the version rooted, I don't need any TWRP backups that contain additional mods.
Thanks to anyone that can help

I am piggy backing too because you are someone recently (last week) were messing with this thing too...
I was given a SM-T380 and am trying to make it "useful"
So far I have had fine luck with both oreo and pie (using the build you mentioned T380DXS4CUD3 via twrp restore... and it is fine, but seems slower than I recalled 8.1 being...
Anyway, I have been flashing the v19.0 of magisk (and a v7.1 of magisk manager) and then flashed v21.4 (and v8.x of manager).
Anyway, if you install a newer magisk manager it will show the device as unrooted (N/A) but updating further seems like I would need to extract the boot.img from the twrp backup (which is above my head...) and patch it with newer magisk...
I am not sure that it's needed for what I will be using the tablet for.. but I haven't had luck with safetynet (using magiskhide props) so I am looking into other methods.
Anyway, I'm not sure if I sould go back to oreo 8.1 or not just because pie 9 seems sluggish in comparison..
Anyway, I am going to tinker with it in my spare time over the next few days, so if you want to connect about anything particular I am around.

Onn 7" Model 100026191 TWRP Development

Alrighty... So I'm in the weeds here after going through three variants of the Samsung JPop (Which have bootloaders locked up like Fort Knox) and decided today to break down and dish out $59 for this bargain device. First thing I did upon getting it home was fastbooting it, and was able to unlock the bootloader with no issue. (So easy, a caveman could do it)
I've read just about every thread in here and though there seems to be TWRP support for quite a few models of the Onn tablets, I didn't see this one in here. Right now I have a throwaway laptop which is installing ubuntu for building TWRP for this device. Now, I have NEVER built TWRP. But I have plenty of free time, ambition, and am willing to learn. I have the basic guide to building TWRP open elsewhere. I will take whatever help I can get on doing this, big or small. Building a basic TWRP image should be easy enough, but the guides don't really go into device specific details (as expected), so this is where I could use some veteran help.
Device Specs:
Model: 100026191
Out-of-the-box Android Version: 11
Display: 7" 1024 x 600 Resolution
Processor: 2.0 GHz Quad-core CPU
RAM: 2GB
Cameras: 2MP front & back
USB: Type-C
Ubuntu just finished, and I am getting the build environment ready as we speak. Will keep this thread updated with progress and hickups that may occur along the way. Wish this noob some luck!!!!
Alrighty, so here's what I've been able to come up with as far as more detailed system information. Sorry for the late post, had trouble getting wifi working on ubuntu but got it going.
I suspected a MediaTek CPU and was eager to do a readback with SP Flash Tool, but as you can tell from the provided screenshots, it's actually a Cortex-A53 CPU. my goal here is to some how pull my stock recovery out of here. I thought about dd'ing it but someone in another thread advised against it. Does Onn have stock firmwares hidden away in the internet somewhere? Or is there another tool I can use to pull recovery?
Good evening guys and gals. New day, new opportunity. So i'm still stuck at pulling off boot and recovery from this tablet. I used
Code:
/adb shell cat /proc/mtd
to no avail. Permission denied just like with dd.
Today, I got the MTK droid tool and hooked the tablet to it and got these results. Still no scatter file, still no progress on pulling these partitions. (I apologize for my dumbness yesterday, this device is in fact MediaTek)
Alright. Eighty of you have clicked in this thread, zero of you show any motivation to do anything to contribute. You guys must hate this tablet because I went through this entire board, and each thread that even mentioned this model were left with no response. I just want the boot and recovery partitions off of the stock tablet. I am willing to do the rest. I said before, I'd take any help I could get but since this device is "so" insignificant, I'm not trying anything else on it.
I don't know if you guys dodge this device because it's Android 11, or what. But the least you veterans could do is either tell us it's not going to happen (given that you tried), or give us some other ideas we could try. Hell I'll paypal you enough for you to have the device in your hands in order to help. But that's where I stand. Moderator can lock this thread if he wishes. There's nothing else I can do for this device at the moment.
guess i'll return it to walmart
was hoping to root it easily with twrp
just gonna go grab the 8' if this is how it ended for the 7'
thanks for the help though!
I need a firmware for the 100026191

I have the boot and recovery images if you want them.
I unfortunately accidentally deleted the original boot image, but I have a magisk patched image still present.
I can walk you through the process of extracting the original if you would prefer that, it's quite simple, I just don't feel like buying a second Onn tablet at the moment.
Just note that if you want to extract the original boot image, do NOT flash the Magisk image, it will permanently erase the original boot image. There is another way, I can walk you through it.

My way of pulling the images should work on any Android device that ships Android 8.0+, however if you got it brand new, don't update it.
Factory reset it if it downloaded an update, then disable OTA updates before enabling Wi-Fi.
You can run `adb logcat` while the update is downloading to find out where to download the OTA, and dump the boot partition from that.
From there, if you install Magisk, you can dump the recovery partition with `adb shell`.

When doing first time setup, don't connect to Wi-Fi.
Enable Developer Settings
Disable OTA Updates
Enable USB Debugging
Connect to Wi-Fi
Connect the device to your computer
Run `adb logcat > ota.txt`
Reenable OTA Updates
Go to Software Updates and start downloading the Android 12 update (If it's not the Android 12 update, disable OTA updates again after this one finishes installing, then try logcat again after rebooting)
Search for a link that looks like `https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/827ee737174e0e8f761bcaeb12738221a924c810.zip` in the logcat.
Put the update link in your browser, and download the zip file.
Extract the zip file
There's your boot.img, very conveniently.
The update link I have provided is for the 100074181, the 3rd gen Onn 7, if you happen to have that one then go ahead and just use my link.
Though update to Android 12 before actually using that boot.img with Magisk, it won't work with Android 11.
After you're done with that, and you're rooted.
`adb shell`
`su`
`dd if=/dev/block/by-name/recovery of=/storage/emulated/0/recovery.img`
Then connect your tablet to your PC and enable file transfer in USB settings, then just pull recovery.img out of your tablet and you have the recovery image.
