2018 i bought several alexa devices from the second generation. 2xEchos and 5xEcho Dots.
Back in 2018 we in Brazil had no Portuguese support. October/2019 Amazon officially launched alexa in Brazil, Echo Dot (3rd Generation) and eco show 5 and 8. When that happened, i could change the language of all my devices to portuguese by doing a little inspect the code in Amazon Alexa web app and changing the language to pt-BR before i hit SAVE. This would make my device be in portuguese. So far so good, i was using all my devices in portuguese.
This last prime day, some days ago, i bought also a eco show 8 and 5, both of them show up right away the option for Portuguese. One of my Echo and one of my Echo Dot updated and reset out of nowhere since that happened it went back to its native language, English. I went back to the Amazon Alexa Web app to do this "little hack" again. For my surprise, they fixed it, even if i inspect the code and change the language option value from en-US to pt-BR, when i hit save, now it shows an error saying its not supported.
So now i have 4 echo dots in portuguese, 1 echo in portuguese AND 1 echo dot (same generation) in english and 1 echo in english.
I tried speaking with amazon Brazil and amazon US, got nothing from them.
Is there ANYTHING i can do, besides throw it away and replacing all of them with the ones they sell in Brazil ? (3rd gen and up).
Its really frustrating since its only a select option limitation. Also afraid of my other devices resetting and making me not able to pick back portuguese.
Echo input language
Got the same here with may echo input. I CAN'T change the language anymore.... web site app hack doesn't work.
Hi did you try to factory reset each of them? Or go to your account devices and disconnect them and reconnecting?
(Eu provelmente deveria ter dito isso em português haha... Eu tentaria desvincular da sua conta ou procurar uma forma de factory reset boa sorte)

Tentei de tudo que você imagina, o problema é que deram um Fix no site, que tinha as gerações anteriores, como eu, precisava fazer um inspect no código e alterar na mão a opção para pt-BR.
Eles arrumaram isso e do dia para a noite, depois de 1 ano usando tudo em português, ficou tudo em ingles.

you will likely have to flash your phone with an English ROM... i have yet to hear of a way to change the language on a PPC phone.

There is an Windows Mobile Pocket PC russian localization pack. http://www.penreader.com/pocket-pc-software/Enhancement_Pack.html
May be there is also for Enlish language?!

Download hard-spl.
Plug your pda to pc.
On Pc run RomUpdateUtiliy (from Hard-spl folder)
Now you will see on PDA a tricolor screen and will be asked replug your usb cable. DO IT.
After Few minutes pda will reboot, hard-spl is installed.
Download the rom.
Now, STEP MANUALLY to bootlader. (press and hold camera, and press reset)
You will see a tricolor screen with OLINEX on your pda.
On the pc run the RomUpdateUtiliy (from the downloaded rom folder)
After Few minutes pda will reboot, new rom is installed.

meu problema é esse mesmo, meu pda está todo em francês e eu não consigo ler uma palavra nele... não estou preocupado em mudar performance, incrementar, nada disso... só mudar o idioma.
Pelo que me parece, depois de ficar 3 dias lendo tudo quanto que é post neste forum, a única opção que tenho é usar esse hard-spl. Achei rom em PT mas vou acabar usando inicialmente em IN por achar mais seguro e estável, depois poderei mudar para meu querido idioma materno.
Tenho agora somente uma pergunta: você sabe se pelo fato do meu pda ser desbloqueado eu ainda sim tenho que usar o hard-spl para trocar a rom?

My problem is that, my pda is in french and I can´t read one single word in it... I´m not worry in change the performance, incresy, nothing of that... just change the idiom.
After been 3 days readding every post in these forum, the only choice that I have is use hard-spl. I found rom in PT but I probably use in IN because I think is more safety and stability then I would change for my maternal tongh.
Do you Know for the fact that my pda is unblocked I still have to use hard-spl?

True, it seems it's manufacturer specific, according to Microsoft: "I want to stress that you might not see all these display languages listed as options on your phone. The exact display options depend on your handset manufacturer and mobile operator."
É pá compraste o telemóvel desbloqueado na Media Markt não foi? Que cena, parece que não temos a língua portuguesa disponível neste modelo em especifico. >_<

Comprei na fnac, mas em nenhuma lingua PT existe em mango, só nos novos de fabrica.

I've fixed it but it takes a while, here are the steps if anyone has the same problem:
0. This worked for me and it's provided as is, if it doesn't work, bricks your phone, sets your house on fire or get you kidnapped by aliens it's none of my business.
1. Restore back to NoDo, you can't fix this in Mango.
2. Access the MFG app, you do that by dialing ##634# and then use the password 277634#*# to enter the app, check out the details here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841892
3. Go to the engineer menu -> other options -> registry editor
4. As explained here -> http://wmpoweruser.com/how-to-install-windows-phone-mango-with-new-additional-languages/ you have to add an entry to the registry, but instead of 0411 for japanese you add the key 0816 for portuguese of Portugal. If you wanna do it for other languages check this table at MSDN -> http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms776294.aspx
5. After adding the entry to the registry, simply update to Mango again and you'll have portuguese on your sweet phone.
Note: While Mango does support a lot of languages, obviously it isn't as many as it's listed on that MSDN table, that table is for _DESKTOP_ Windows, it just happens that Windows Phone shares the same language constants as Desktop Windows and some of them are available on Mango. Don't be a douche and try to install some crazy ass african dialect on your phone. >_>

Not sure how many brazilians around but just got the confirmation that both GN3 and Gear will be in stores on Oct 5th.
They are following the same approach of the S4 launch in a saturday with all carriers and electronics stores selling at the same time.
And if the approach os really the same they will launch the N9005 and later start selling the N9000 version.

Boa tarde estou com problema no meu S5, após instalar a rom cm13 o meu aparelho parou de fazer e receber ligação, quando faço a ligação aparece chamada encerrada o numero de imei está aparecendo no aparelho.
Voltei para rom original e mesmo assim não faz e nem recebe ligação poderiam me ajudar a resolver esse problema?

Good afternoon I'm in trouble in my S5, after installing the rom cm13 my machine stopped and outgoing connection, the connection appears when I called closed the IMEI number of the device is showing up.
I returned to original rom and still not make nor receive connection could help me solve this problem?
Check your IMEI if it isn't corrupt or is FAKE imei,
not sure what more can be done atm

When I updated my YB to Android 7.1.1 (oficial update) my Halo Keyboard lose the US - International configuration. I can't type special portuguese caracters like ç or à.
However, I can type characters like à or ã.
Anyone with this problem?
I'm in Portugal, and for me the keyboard works fine with the Portuguese accent characters. Just check your keyboard configuration.
Tenho a versão portuguesa do Yoga Book, e para mim, fui testar, o teclado funciona correctamente. Verifica as configurações do teclado.
My version is US. I try all possible configurations.
