The issue will be resolved in the next crDroid 6 release.
It fixed now. Enjoy.

Installed CRDroid 7 2 weeks ago and it seems to work like a charm !
Still no support for wifi via eap sim nor fonctionning android auto (wich could be a great enhancement ;p) but overalll great all day rom!
Thx for the build

Is it possible to impement radio FM into this ROM?
Apart from this lack in my opinion is great!

Hi everybody, crdroid 7 is based on android 11, right?
Where can I get gapps for android 11?
Thank you

@vasskliss, I use NikGapps+crDroidAndroid-11.0-20201215-santoni-v7.1...with BitGapps was a problem Chrome browser not synchronizing.

I installed the 7.1 on Santoni, and I say that it is PERFECT rom, 1% discharge over the night, fast, correct!!!
Congratulation for the maker!!!
A big problem is that "Mobile network" greyed out in the settings! I just could switch on the Mobile data by pull down menu, but I had to search the "SIM" word in the menu because the mobile data didn't work I had to rest APN and I worked hard with switching on and off and after all it works and I have internet mobile data connection however the Mobile network is greyed out yet... Any idea?
One disappointment: Android Auto installed from Nikgapss and it is impossible to exceed the "Display over other apps" settings, though it is enabled or not it could not be step over this point... any suggestion?

Et violá - HERE is the solution:
I made two change in my system, I don't know which was the solution or both needed:
1.
Check all the other permissions that Android Auto might need. For me, the notification access permission was disabled for some reason, but Android Auto never took me to that setting until after I rebooted. There are instances where apps need some permissions toggled off then on again in order to work properly after an update. For instances, after updating LightFlow, the app gets me to toggle notification access off and on.
source: https://android.stackexchange.com/q...eeps-asking-to-enable-drawing-over-other-apps
Yep - it was disabled in my system!!!
UPDATE: it is not enough alone! It needs flashing SafetyPatch v3!
2.
Android Auto works when you do this steps:
flash magisk
flash SafetyPatch v3: https://magiskroot.net/md/SafetyPatch-v3.zip
Activate MagiskHide Probs Config
source: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/1930
Well, I had already Magisk and enabled MagiskHide Probs Config! I disabled it, installed SafetyPatch v3 from Magisk and rebooted and enabled MagiskHide Probs Config.
After all I connected USB cable to my car and I could enable and stepped over the "Display over other apps" settings.

installed the 7.1 version + nikgapps basic package yesterday and its working like a charm, congrats again to the developers, no issues so far and the battery is also pretty good;
its amazing how our modest device keeps getting updates to the latest android versions thanks to the amazing work of the community

I'm coming from the pixel experience rom (android 10), and in computer was slow charge, in the charger was fast. So I don't think is a hardware issue...but thanks mate

I really enjoy the ROM when the phone is on. Great to have a Android 11 on my Redmi 4x! Works very welland i haven´t found any bugs so far.
I used Syberian at first, then Lineage 16 and now this.
But i have some issue with it and i don´t know how to solve them:
I have to shutdown my phone every day. (Working in a security company) and i have to press the power button for like 15 seconds to turn it on again!?!? Is this Rom or OrangeFox Recovery "issue"?
I cant Reboot my phone, not into system, recovery or bootloader.
Today i shut down my phone with 48% battery, as i want to turn it on again it shuts down and the battery was empty.
i am on GEN_PACK-1_V048 Firmware...

thanks for the ROM

Omg, quotes full op to say thx, dont do that!
There is a dedicated button just for this purpose.
Regarding the rom - i took a quick look at it, but iam missing blurr effect if u pull down notifications, which i fell in love with. But its good to see, that there r more and more los-based oreo roms with fp-gestures working.
Imo, best customizations, including the mentioned blurr effect, and fp-gestures comes with RR.
Screenshot please?
For some reason this failed to recognize my jio India sim. Signal strength is very week with airtel as well. Anyone else.? Going back to Los 15.1

Well, unlike previous posters, I've had no issue so far. Clean flashed, flashed pico gapps and magisk, and everything went fine. No problems rebooting, no need to press anything.
Just flashed Subham's kernel, and it's still working fine

I tried leaving bluetooth on for a few hours, and got 63% battery usage from it, with nothing paired.
Still about 7h SoT, which is usual for me, so I'm guessing it's a misread, and not an actual drain. Will try a full charge with BT on and see the resulting SoT.
I cannot find fingerprint anywhere, phone is encrypted.

Nice smooth rom.
Volte also working?
Hi! I'm using latest unofficial build (11-06), are there differences between this two releases?
Not even booting for me..
I flashed PE and magisk..
Wiped caches..
Reboot to system..
Then it shows to enter decryption password
After checking it reboots and stuck on black screen..
I never faced such issue with any rom..
I tried to install this last week but it constantly reboots all the time. It seems to stop rebooting when my sim connection is off. Can someone post the steps on how to flash this rom cause maybe im missing some steps during installation thats why its rebooting. Now im back on PE that i got on xda and not on their official website. This seems to be stable except for the hotspot that is not working. TIA

I also encountered this problem, its because of the automatic encryption of MIUI ROM.
This is how I solved it:
1. Boot to fastboot, then format userdata (fastboot format userdata)
2. Flash OrangeFox, then complete wipe
3. Install the ROM
---------- Post added at 03:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:58 AM ----------
I tried this ROM yesterday and compared it with AEX Pie.
This is much better for users who prefer Pure AOSP.
Fast, stable, and beautiful UI.

Volte Didn't work
Any gcam ports that work in this rom?
Just now I enable cam2api and the default camera take green image.
Bugs that I found:
- Charging LED Indicator doesnt work.
- Finger Print works slow (2-3 seconds) while phone is sleeping.
- Sometimes it doesnt respond to my FP, then 2nd time it recognizes.
Except that it is a perfect rom for me.

Yeah I think that was beta and now it's stable but rom is of an earlier date
For the people compaining about random reboots, download and install the latest MIUI10 developer ROM using MiFlash, then re-install your custom recovery and the ROM. Other users have reported that this procedure solves that problem. (or you can just flash the latest firmware using a custom recovery, I don't like this way because it caused problems in other Redmi device, but is your choice).
While trying the latest available OFFICIAL build (10/24th)
0.- UI is a little bit laggy. Things get worse if you use a live wallpaper, so avoid them and use a lighter launcher if possible.
1.- Youtube and other cast-enabled apps won't detect cast receivers in the network (no cast button in the app), the screen mirroring settings can detect them but trying to connect to any receiver results in a soft-reboot (SystemUI crashes).
2.- Wifi hotspot is broken.
3.- Waking up the device (either using the power button or the fingerprint sensor) takes almost 1 second.
4.- Automatic brightness is too high, and the minimum brightness (moving the slider to the left and disabling automatic brightness) is too low.
5.- Battery life seems subpar compared to Oreo builds (even if using greenify or similar apps). Is not *that* bad (like 1 hour less of SOT), but it seems like the kernel or the battery management settings still need customization (inb4 "use greenify").
6.- Some times the gesture-based navigation don't work or crashes (swipe up to see recents stops working and quick app switch doesn't work). This started happening after installing another launcher, when it happens the device must be restarted to make it work again). So, if possible, keep the old navigation buttons enabled.
Just as a sidenotes:
* After installing the Magisk ZIP, the Magisk Manager APK must be donwloaded and installed manually.
* Device fingerprint can be altered using Magisk to pass Safety Net without issues. vince's and whyred stock MIUI fingerprints works just fine.
* Camera2 is disabled. Can be enabled manually by altering build.prop, or by Magisk modules. After enabling it, ARnova's GCAM modded APK works flawlessly. Snap camera it's still crap.
*
Greetings!

Flashed it today, but had to backup all data and format internal storage. Rom kept asking for the pin code at startup, but even with the correct code, phone doesn't boot.
Rom is pretty much stable, has lots of features but I also found some bugs
Since gapps are included, I couldn't restore all my apps, settings call logs etc
- scrolling the settings menu is a bit weird, notice the search bar dissapearing
-navigation bar appears after every reboot, even if it shows disabled. To disable it I had to re enable and the n disable only to find out that it would appear again after next reboot.
Dev, if you read this, please have a look. And thanks for the work!

Android auto
Hello
I just got to say I've tried the ROM it is awesome, the only problem I had is the ANDROID AUTO app, it is not loading properly on the cars screen it recognizes the phone.
Then it wouldn't load properly on the cars screen it remains black and the phone freezes and reboots.
To me it is a real concern, and just because of this problem I had to quit this awesome ROM and load back PIE.
Just for the record I have tried all of the ROMS running out for the ANDROID 10 AND out of this problem which they all have they are not as smooth as this ROM (personal opinion).
I hope to get a nice reply with a solution if there is one.
Cheers

How fast does it charge?
I’m currently using Fork LineageOS 18.1, the charging speed with it is really slow.

Fast charging should work fine. Otherwise, try changing your charging cable

For this ROM specifically? I've used HavocOS 4.8 before switching to Fork LineageOS 18.1 and it worked like it should, only after the ROM-change it got really slow. (Using the same cable)

Yeah, i know.
It just seems weird to me that it works with one ROM and doesn't work for another.
Wondering if it would work again after switching to your version of crDroid.
Everything works fine, thank you for this awesome work.
I took the latest edition of this rom for a spin, used the latest firmware 12.5.7, latest nikgapps, latest vantom kernel. Installed in order format data, flash firmware, rom, gapps, kernel, format data, boot rom.
Everything is fine except for one problem, also commonly found on stock xiaomi phones from my co-workers which is, i cant reach emergency services.
I work as an ambulance medic and when i dialed 124 i got an automated voice which i can not bypass in any way. This is my first time ever experiencing this on a custom rom. I also cant call police or firefighters.
So i have no choice but to use another rom.

more likely it's your gapps package. everything works fine here.
oh yea, consider using the absolute bare minimum it provides

I used nickgapps basic or the one above..I moved back to evox 12 because of the issue ive had and because i had a pretty big battery drain. Now i suspect it could be the firmware since i had that drain on your rom and msm 12 as well, same latest vantom kernel. I moved to 12.5.4 and latest evox and no issues at all. The above basic package has all the apps i would use anyways, and i believe that the evox comes with flame or nikgapps full.
If I install this rom and recommended gapps, will the play store be certified? and will the google pay work?
Answering myself: YES! everything works great!
My bluetooth isnt working properly, it keeps disconnecting even though it works for a short time.
Logcat says:
Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV), code 1 (SEGV_MAPERR), fault addr 0x20 in tid 12126 (bt_main_thread), pid 12082 (droid.bluetooth)

no, its been dead since A10, it causes infinite MI logo, and you cannot pull any form of log even with engineering build type.

This is in CrDroid 7.15 and I have to enter password at startup and in recovery (as one would expect with FDE).

It's on crdroid.net down below at least. (It's separate from the "stable" entry)
Hi, this version is with Gaaps,
can you post version without Gaaps please ?
version 8.2 was more stable. This version reboots randomly.
attaching logs
Hi,
Does it pass cts without Magisk? Is it a user build (will banking apps work flawlessly)?
Fingerprint unlock is not working on my device (Redmi 5 Plus Vince) . Do I have to enable Something special? The Fingerprint Sensor itself is working in other Apps.
I am using crDroid Version 8.4 April 10 2022
I tried to create a log file with Andy log but it did not work.
I can't switch off 3 buttons vibration, there is no such option in vibration/haptic menu settings.
Bruh new version 8.4 for Vince device is unstable
It's crashing in every 30 min apps are not working properly please help

I have the same issues with 8.4...
Installed it on my mothers phone. With no additional GAPPS flashed and only a handful of Apps from the Playstore installed, it is just not stable
Is it still supported or should I move to a different ROM?

What do you mean when you say, "wipe necesary partitions". what should i do "wipe" when installing your clean rom? Thanks, downloading it.
