Hi developers,
I would like to ask you for a custom Recovery for rescue the data on my SM-A920F device.
following situation:
My Phone has a broken screen (no touch, no picture) and its not rooted and USB-debbuging isn´t enabled.
so i have no way of accessing it.
this model also cannot connected to a hdmi port so i can`t control it via mouse and use methodes like Magisk
The best way i think is to enter the recovery download mode (blind) and flash a custom recovery (with the possibility of using adb pull) via ODIN.
But i can´t find a custom recovery for this device
The TWRP Builders reject Requests for Samsung devices because of the need for kernel modification.
So can anyone help me to get a recovery or access to the data.

Hi there are a few version of the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 that have no support for a custom recovery.
Source files have been found and are ready to be worked with.

Custom recovery for sm-t237p??
Any chance anyone is working on a custom recovery for the Sprint Galaxy Tab 4 7"? Idk what it is but the Sprint Galaxy Tabs, including the Tab 3 7" are always cast aside and no one ever wants to put the work into building or porting a custom rom, let alone finish one. Thankfully for the Tab 3(sm-t217s) there is a custom recovery..Great! What good is it without someone finishing a custom rom, i.e. CandyKat, SlimRom, Goodness Rom. They're all unfinished and cast aside. Its sad. But yeah, I'm mostly a n00b when it comes to building or porting. Period. I'd love to learn. I want to finish one of theses roms to fully functionally capacity. If anyone has the know-how on how I can start helping plz don't hesitate to hmu. Thank you.

Once rooted the LTE bands for AT&T could then be enabled (hopefully).

I juts got a new galaxy tab 4 7.0 . Because of its horrible GPU and TouchWiz,im barely able to move through the home screen. So i would like to get instruction on how to boot to recovery after flashing the file with odin. Im kinda new to android flashing and roms stuff?☺. So can someone please help me?

Hi, i'm trying to port CyanogenMod 12 to the Tab 4 and i've seen that you've used some custom mkbootimg to compile the recovery image, the problem is the Target_Kernel_Config file isn't found inside the kernel i've downloaded from the samsung open-source website, I wonder if anyone have this file on their computer (pxa1080_degaswifi_eur_defconfig).
It would be really helpful if someone could send me the file since it would allow me to continue working on the port.

Hi, I've been working on a CyanogenMod12 rom for the device and since TWRP isn't updated to the lastest version, I cannot try the fresh builded rom. I was wondering if you could update it or let me update it by my own.

Only Sp Tool can flash if phone is dead, usually when process is interrupted in the middle only then mobile dies, if not detecting at all u can try to start the process by pressing volume button.

The bootloader is already unlocked. Just make sure ypu have authorized USB Debugging in Developer Options and can access the fastboot/bootloader mode. Just try flashing twrp 3.0.3 you'll confirm it..
