I have to say that I am impressed with the charging abilities of this phone. I've done this test on stock rom and pixel experience and I got similar results, but with the phone being rooted I now have access to see more information. The app I used to monitor the charging was Franco Kernel Manager, one of the very few paid apps I recommend as it can show with accuracy both the current and the voltage. I started this test when the battery was 5% all the way up to 100%. I need to mention that I was interested in the true performance of the charger in a controlled environment and as we all know a high temperature of the battery throttles the charger. I noticed that at the highest speeds, anything over 35° will make it throttle so I used an ice pack for portable fridges to keep the temperature between 24° and 29°. I've heard some saying that this is no good for the phone but I've done this in the past 5 years hundreds of times on more than 10 different phones and I've never shorted one. Back to charging speeds, you will notice in the last screenshot that when temperature is good the turbocharge will last up to 70% when the wattage shows over 40w. I know that technically the brick is rated at 33w max, I'm wondering if it has the ability to draw more from the socket, put 33w in the battery and the rest will go towards the actual usage of the phone. Then the wattage will slowly drop up to 95% then dramatically drop up to 100%. This is because the voltage stayed consistently at 9v between 5 and 95% then dropped to 5v between 95 and 100%. Another mention is that I compared the readings of the Franco Kernel and Ampere and they were identical, the only reason I couldn't tell the Wattage with Ampere is because Ampere can't monitor the voltage so it made the app redundant. Battery charges in 90 minutes, is this sign of a bad battery?

Can see the title - I can charge my phone from 4% to full in rougly 90-100 mins using stock charger. This seems significantly faster than reported by other review sites, does this mean my battery is not fully utilizing all its cells?

Mine did the same thing....
Mine charges super fast too, but I still get great life out of it. 5-6 hour screen time, all day and into the next.
This phone gets better battery life than any other I have ever owned. The fast charging is a great bonus.

It could also have something to do the the 1150mA charger. That's more current than most phone chargers.

Could be a mixture of the this plus the chip.

On a related note, this thing either charges faster on a car charger or is just much more efficient than the Galaxy Nexus. My Galaxy Nexus's battery would actually drain when using GPS in the car while plugged into my Kinivo BTC450, especially while also playing music. My Moto X actually charges reasonably quickly while using GPS and playing music. There's definitely no need for some high voltage car charger.

I use AICP and it charges from 0-50% in 30 minutes.
Where I live it has been 100-115° every day and this phone will not start charging until it is cooler than 100°. I seriously thought the phone was defective until I read a spec sheet on quick charge; it indicated that is by design to keep from degrading the lithium battery. I just park it in front of the AC for a bit before charging now. Fast charges as soon as the temp cools beneath 100°. Lineage official ROM.

Even sitting at work in a 70° room, the phone is hovering at 96.8 degrees sitting on the desk. Put in your pocket and it is over 100° instantly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Temperatures were similar when I ran Miui. I had the same problem that I couldn't charge the phone without keeping it out of my pocket for awhile first.
Maybe it is the cheap case I use?
Out of my pocket for an hour in a 70° room. 95° is as cool as it gets:

What is Battery Health Engine?

OPPO announced a new technology that will first be seen in the OPPO Find X5 Pro. This new technology is called Battery Health Engine, and it's designed to increase the overall lifespan and health of your phone's battery. The BHE is a self-developed chip that is designed to work in combination with the new 150W SUPERVOOC flash charger.
So what does the BHE actually do? Traditional charging of your phone causes your battery to degrade over time. This results in shorter battery life as your usage continues. The goal of BHE is to slow that process down as much as possible. Using OPPO's self-developed BHE chip, the OPPO Find X5 Pro can maintain 80% of its original capacity after as many as 1,600 charge cycles. The Technology Behind the Battery Health Engine​The BHE chip takes advantage of two specific technologies which include Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Battery Healing Technology. The combination of these features helps improve battery health, safety, and performance by optimizing the hardware and software.
Smart Battery Health Algorithm has the ability to track real-time electric potential across the negative electrodes within the battery. Using this information, it will dynamically adjust the charging currency within a reasonable range, resulting in the minimization of the occurrence of dead lithium. It can do this while maintaining the maximum charging current. This helps ensure a prolonged battery lifespan and faster-charging speeds.
Battery Healing Technology extends the battery life from the inner system of the battery. With the ability to improve the electrolyte formula, the electrodes are constantly being repaired while the battery goes through its normal charge and discharge cycles. This forms a more stable and durable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) that always stays in a perfect state in real-time. While using the OPPO Find X5 Pro as my primary device for about two months now, I've been very impressed with the battery. I use my phone throughout the day for social media, videos, and work-related stuff like email and documents. I find myself charging my phone about once a day, but only need to charge it for about 10 minutes before I'm ready to go again. I thought I'd share some insight on my battery usage so far and see how other users are liking its performance.

My Battery Life based on my Usage​At night, I use the O Relax app to play thunderstorm sounds via a Bluetooth connection to my speakers. I usually have these sounds playing for about 7 hours, which consumes about 20-25% of my battery overnight. So if you plan on using your phone with overnight ambient sleep sounds, make sure you have about a 35% charge just in case.
As you can see from my usage stats, I charge my phone once a day, usually when it gets down to about 30% capacity. Based on my phone usage, I could stretch my battery life to about 1 day and 18 hours before reaching 0%. With Power saving mode and Super power saving mode, that can be extended even more to 2 days and 15 hours.
Battery Saving Tip: I use the high refresh rate setting for my phone, which is a super nice feature to have. However, if you want to get another 9 hours of usage from your phone, change the refresh rate to 60Hz. The high refresh rate setting is the most significant factor in your battery drain speed.
Charge Speed Test​To drain my battery for this test, I looped a 4K HDR video from YouTube at full brightness. It took 5hrs to drain the battery fully.
Now for the battery charge test. I cannot use the SuperVOOC charger that came with my phone since it is a European model. Instead, I will use a 90W charger from RAVPower. The OPPO Find X5 Pro has the ability to charge at a max of 80W.
0 - 50% : 40min
0 - 100% : 80min
