Yeah, I like the phone. It has great battery. The camera isn't as bad as I initially thought. Compared to my Cyber-shot w810 compact camera, the Moto g9 kicks its ass.
The Google assistant stuff is the most annoying thing. The assistant button is useless, and when trying to unlock the device, 9 out of 10 times it starts the assistant. Disabling the assistant only leads to assistant settings.... Lol.
Please someone do something!
And now for a serious problem: I have been able to unlock the device with a fingerprint not registered in the device!

Once you get familiarized by the features it's hard to go back. Using the fingerprint for navigation is wonderful and the Motoapps for gestures (shake for flashlight and twirl for camera), quick notification, is simply the best implementation of all.

I like this phone. Switched from a OnePlus 5 and while it is a downgrade in weight, dimensions and camera it's an improvement in screen size, screen scrolling/overall performance feel and speakers. Now when I look at other phones the Razer Phone just feels faster thanks to the 120Hz display.
Best phone I ever had. Even better than my Oppo Find 5.
Too heavy, small screen, and vibration motor is hideous.

i picked up a e5 play a couple of days ago , the price very little so i didn't expect much ! just wanted something to root and check out some roms, but wow this phone is a lot of bang for the buck couldn't believe how nice it is .

G8 hasvbetter audio with stereo speakers, but the g9 is loud and clear on speaker phone, event if I miss stereo..
The fingerprint sensor has improved 10090%, almost too good.
Battery is 1000mah more, soc 8nm, but the display is larger, so it has similar battery performance as g8, No need to charge every day for a normal user. Right now I have been using the phone with screen on 4h7m since last charge, 7 hours ago, and battery is 70%. Been using snapchat and YouTube mostly.
I was hoping for a greatly improved camera, but it's only marginally better. Better "night vision", cool macro lens, but still cannot compete with Samsung mid-range devices...
Was hoping the new cam module, better Snapdragon and improved software was gonna be much better, but
Anyway. I really like this device.
Oh, and I really hope someone comes up with a solution to reconfigure they useless Google assistant button. Would be genius if it could be used for camera shutter...

Its nice business class phablet. Face unlock works well, beside always on screen when looking at phone.like in old Samsung Galaxies. Sound really cool with 3D effect too - sounds best even $15 bt headphones.
