My Tab S3: Strange behavior on startup. - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi, I'm new here on XDA . I recently had a Samsung tab S3 (SM-T820). I did the PIE upgrade, wipe cache and factory reset. Everything would be fine, except that every 5 reboots, the tablet stays on the boot screen for a long time, then reboots only once and then starts correctly. What does it mean? What do you recommend?I have enabled debugging of the USB port in case of problems.
Thanks for your advice.

Rooted with CF-Autoroot, now encryption not possible anymore

I just rooted a brand new Galaxy S4 on i9505xxuemke
Before I encrypted and decrypted several times. Always worked great. Now after root when it should encrypt display shows shortly the green android and then it goes black. Device does not react anymore. After about 1 minute it vibrates and reboots. However I don't have to enter my password to boot. Only to unlock. Now I can go to options and try encrpyting again. Hower same behaviour as before. Any suggestions?
There are no apps installed, no google account and so on. Its factory fresh. I even restored factory settings. Same behaviour.
Any ideas?

[Q] Samsung Tab 4 7.0 SM-T230NU won't restart.

I am trying to fix my friends Tab 4 SMT230NU. It powers on just fine, but when I try to restart from the power button. It shuts down then never powers up again. I took the back case off, removed the battery for 10 minutes then plugged it back it and it powers on. As long as I don't choose the restart option it will power on and off just fine. I did a hard reset, clear cache, then reboot thinking that would fix it but being that a reboot is the same as restart I get the same result. It does the system restore. I tried OTA to the newest firmware which fails at the reboot. Tried Kies with the same result. Non-Rooted Tablet. I tried ODIN with the new firmware, which worked on another 230nu tablet, that was stuck in a boot loop, but no luck with the one Im working on for my friend. Screen is cracked could that be the problem? Is the motherboard just jacked? Loosing hair over what I think should be a simple fix.

Nexus 4 stops suddenly

My Google Nexus 4 which was working without issue suddenly began stopping at random times. After few boot ups OS didn't bootup where I had to factory reset wipe from recovery mode. But suddon stopping issue still persisted. Soon it came to a situation where factory reset could n't recover at which case I tried installing Synagenmode. I could not install Synagenmode for some reason. There after I flash factory Nexus 4 ROM again. Still the sudden stopping issue exist when phone is discoonected from charging cable. Phone works fine when connected with main power.
The battery is not empty though it stopped suddenly, I am saying this because I can boot it up again though it stops again before fully bootup. Is this a hardware failure or software faikure such as battery cache

When you say your phone is stopping, do you mean it turns itself off, or just freezes? When you said you flashed factory ROM, do you mean a factory reset, a zip or a factory image via fastboot?

Yes it turn itself off.
First I factory reset via recovery mode
Then I flash factory ROM via fastboot as mentioned in "[GUIDE] Nexus 4 - Factory Image Restore" of androidcentral dot com

Try using a Qi Wireless charger and see if it does the same thing. It could be that your battery has shot craps and while it has a charge, it is not producing enough mAh/voltage and the phone is turning off believing the battery to be dead. I used to have a similar with a Samsung handset which had a removable battery. I would be at 90%+ and it would just shut off. Every time, the battery was swollen and beginning to fail.
You can see how the system is reading the battery status from a logcat. It might give you some insight into the root cause.

won't open, ties, but than restarts, do not think it is a boot loop

i have a note 3 SM-N900A unlocked and Rooted. Problem, when starting it gets to “Process is not responding; (wait or restart). When at this point you can slide screen down and access wi-fi gps etc. you can turn those off or on, however, that starts the same cycle over again. I have cleaned cache, done factory reset, changed batteries. I need help. It is running Kitkat 4.4 from factory.

Most probably motherboard issue and should be replaced if possible ,had same issue on s7edge with random reboots ,shutdown not turning on ect
Hi guys, regarding the restarting issue...have some “improvements” after deleting data in apps...phone and device maintenance....15 hours without restarting..fingers crossed
Hi guys....the restarts have become too much to the point the phone is unusable...its worse when the phone is on 4G/LTE...Sometimes the screen goes dark and the phone becomes unresponsive.
My effort to take to the Samsung centre for repair has been in vain...as I bought the phone overseas and the warranty is not honored here.
Any help will be appreciated...
