Dark Facebook is on the way and being tested from what I read. If you want it now, download Facebook Lite, go to Settings, and turn Dark Mode on.

You don't get the same experience. If you say want to hide an ad halfway thru scrolling, it returns you to the top, and then the ad is still there. Adding photos option to an existing post gets hidden by the keyboard. Commenting on anything opens the entire post. Videod are clipped to max 10 seconds, but I've seen them clipped to 3. Clicking on the video shows the full length. I like the option in developer settings on Samsung vs having lite on my V60

I really need some help. When i log in to my Facebook app account it is white and there is no option of dark mode, BUT when i log in to my sister’s or my wife’s account is dark and also appears the option of dark mode in the settings. I can’t understand what’s wrong. My Note is in Dark Mode. Please anyone who knows tell me because it drives me crazy.

Mine is the same, I suspect it's because it's still not been fully pushed out yet as my desktop experience is the old layout.

But the problem is that in every browser, mobile or desktop, my profile is in dark mode. Only in my Facebook app is in white mode. And as i wrote earlier any other account i have connect in my Facebook app in the very same Note 20 Ultra is in dark mode. I think something is wrong.

Mine is the same, it's because we still have the classic Facebook which ends at the end of this month, see this article: https://www.alphr.com/how-to-enable-dark-mode-on-facebook/

Could be a power saving feature to adjust browser backgrounds. You can try disabling that in the settings menu, under Display I believe. Or perhaps the colour temperature mode, also under the Settings > Display heading. Look for screen mode and choose Cinema instead of standard to get more faithful colours.

I have it on adapt display, could that be causing this?

Why speculate, when it would be so easy to find out? Choose Cinema and see if it makes a difference..

6T: Anyway to make apps ignore the teardrop notch?

Found this on Reddit. Dunno if the user is on XDA. But I'll post this for them anyways. Im interested as well.
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/9wi0sl/6t_anyway_to_make_apps_ignore_the_teardrop_notch/
How to enable FULL immersive mode (no status bar) and not have a black bar as a replacement?
When I had the Essential Phone, I was able to whitelist any app to disregard the existence of the notch and pretend like it wasn't there.
Take a look here: https://youtu.be/NLnMXtxz4f8
And here: https://www.xda-developers.com/essential-phone-force-apps-fill-screen/
I ran an adb script to remove the status bar, but that only places a black bar where the status bar would be.
A modification like what the Essential Phone has would be great since the teardrop notch is so minimal that it should not have any negative impact on FULL SCREEN apps (unlock the pixel 3xl *coughs) .
There's a setting under 'Display', 'App display in fullscreen' where you can choose the apps you want to display full screen.. Is this what you're looking for?

I think that the App display in fullscreen does what the video showed.

I think you're correct. Only problem is that a lot of apps do not show up in this setting. Youtube and Gmail for one. And it's not just Google apps, either.
Another problem I've ran into when trying to do this is lag/jitter when scrolling when immersive mode is turned on. If I turn immersive mode off and reboot the phone the lag is gone and the phone is buttery smooth. If I turn immersive mode back on, the lag is immediately back. Any ideas why this might be?

as Messenger already has dark mode and im using it
Dark mode
Here's hoping we get a true dark mode because that white is really battery draining
Wanna know what I´m doing? Using the facebook in the Samsung Browser. It´s that easy. The Samsung Browser offers a native dark mode as well - just set yourself a bookmark on your homescreen and you are done. And the good thing is: It´s even better in terms of performance and WAY less data sniffing as well

I've been doing the same since disabling Facebook app and its related bloat on my phone for a few months.
Works ok, but fb intentionally makes it not work as well as their app suprise suprise! Example, when you get notification and click it , it doesn't always take you to the post.

please update latest facebook dark mode..
Not sure if y'all are aware but you can actually "force dark mode" on basically all apps on your device in the developer options.

"force dark mode" mode makes everything look worse. you cant even read the black text on black background here and there.
Best solution for this is wait for FB to update their official dark mode to everybody. Ive heard that they are testing dark mode on some chosen people's accounts.
Guess that's just an issue for you. I haven't had any issues. My text shows white over the black background *
I've seen a few sites that Facebook and Messenger get blackened and put to download, search google or send me a private message to send you.

Force Dark Mode in Android 10

Does anyone else have issues with Force Dark Mode in Development Setting?
When its off colours in all apps are normal
But when its on some colours in some apps seem to invert
Screenshots
Facebook And Fluid Navigation Gestures Bubble
1 and 2 Force Dark Mode off
3 and 4 Force Dark Mode On
Yeah,
Same here a few apps don't like it, like Facebook, can't read anything when force dark mode on.

Which is strange, because i didnt have some issues until last Sunday, fluid navigation gestures was normal, Facebook was about 90% normal, there was a problem with some pictures kn posts looking like old negatives from cameras, and messenger was ok.
I haven't changed anything relating to these apps in theming.
The other nagging issue is having to go switch Force Dark Mode on after every reboot.

Force dark Mode OP8pro??

Hi,
I received my OP8pro today and I am missing force dark Mode from developer option on op7pro.
It has a dark Mode on Utilities , but it's not usefull, the only app to choose os WhatsApp...
Any alternative to force dark mode on apps without It?
Try in oneplus Labs options "dark mode for Apps"
That is what I said on Utilities, but you only can choose WhatsApp in my case, and WhatsApp already have dark Mode.... So it's useless.
I would like a force dark mode that turn almost every app to dark mode, like op7pro

One I turned it on most of my phone went dark. Don't think you're going to get 100% of apps to go dark.
Least not from my experience
