Light use endurance - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Real Life Review

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.

I could get 8 hours of SoT maximum, I expected better thn this.

Used around 50% charge and got 9.5 hours SoT.
60hz, <20% brightness, removed bloatware and disabled apps I don't use, battery saver mode on, heavy web browsing with wifi on most of the time, occasional youtube usage.

I charge about once every 4 days with light use. Though have in mind i use the 25-90% battery saving cycle so if i used 0-100 i would probably get at least another day out of it.
I'm on Nitrogen A11, changed refresh to 60 HZ. Brightness is automatic, i dont bother with setting it manually to low.

It's just a week I own this phone. I get SoT 4-5 hour max and the my battery drops to 20%. Charging every day, some days twice. I've already performed a hard reset after the update to Android 11 (RJGEUXM). Should I consider it a faulty device?

I'm considering buying this phone but what worries me is the battery endurance rating.
I think that there is nothing wrong with your graph, it's just that a modern phone like this one needs a 6000 mAh battery.
My Lenovo P2 has a 5000 mAh battery and it can run for two full days under heavy use (often GPS and maps) I also always leave the phone turned ON during the night.
I suggest you play with the phone's settings, reduce the frame rate, delete useless apps, reduce the screen brightness and so on.

Terrible Battery Life on Comparison to Others. Suggestions?.

WTF is going on with my battery? I have the S7 Flat snapdragon version (G930v) running the G930u software unrooted which removes all carrier bloat. Screen brightness is set to a little past half way. I have all setting provided by stock software optimized for maximum battery life other than running AOD. I am running a black Wallpaper/Lockscreen/ and an All black theme from the Theme Engine.. I Repeat, I have all stock firmware options Optimized for battery. Every single one. Wth hell is going on here. My battery time is looking Rediculous in comparison. Someone help me out here.

I feel asleep around 3am I guess with 89% and woke up just now close to 11. Heres battery over that 8hr period. 5% during that time. Standby drain is not bad it seems. But only 10hrs on 100% is crazy low compared to what some of you guys are getting.
End of Trial:
What can I do to get this increased.?
4.5 Hr of SOT is very Good. I am on the U firmware also and get 3 SOT. When you make comparisons, compare to SD Soc not the Samsung Exnos. You can download Gsam Battery and give it more permissions thru ADB and monitor. I noticed my proximity sensor (2) are giving high wakelocks.
The SD vs Exnos makes that much of a difference? I'm seeing people get 5.5-6.5screen on time in the main s7 thread. Granted not many relay the information as to weather they have SD/Exnoys or Flat/Edge.
4.5 hours when compared to 6 average over there, eh to me that's on the low end. I'd be losing my mind if I was only getting 3SoT.
I miss removable battery functionality.
Do you guys leave your screens on 24/7 or something? I use my phone quite a bit, but get 24 hours to a charge.
Is this ok?
At this brightness level plus I have turned off buttons backlight.

I get around 4 hours sot when I get home, here is my day with my phone.
730am start streaming audio books through Bluetooth facebook sms email.
4pm stop streaming books 75% battery.
5pm games facebook email sms.
10pm bed time, end the day with 330 to 4 hours sot and 15%battery remaining.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? After about a week or use I can say this phone has the best standby time of any phone I've used. I'm losing <1% per hour. Screen on time leaves a bit to be desired but personally I'll take a phone with better standby time than more SOT. I've had phones that would lose 3-5% in an hour just being in my pocket. I've also had phones with awful wake lock issues until they were rooted/debloated.
I'm not exactly a power user due to the nature of my job but it's important for me to have my phone when I need it, generally for making calls or texts. I typically end my day with about 2 ½ hours of screen time and ~ 50 - 60%. I have two Gmail accounts syncing and am mostly on mobile data (wish I could disable LTE) I disabled every bloatware app possible without root and have greenify and blockada installed. I keep Bluetooth on and use either Poweramp or Spotify in the car for about 3 hours out of my day.
While I have had phones with better battery life (Xperia Z3 compact) this phone is more than adequate for my needs. If I were a power user hoping to get a ton of screen on time I would look elsewhere.

While screen on time is great, something is wrong for me with standby drain.
During night it drained 13% in 8 hours. Mobile network standby is eating my battery.

Seriously though, for me it has been very little. Recently I didn't use the phone after charging, then when I picked it up 3+ hours later it was still at 100%. Overnight it only loses 3-4% at most in 6-7 hours.

That's how it supposed to be!
Now I even tested with sim card removed and it still drained 3% in 2 hours.
Could you tell me which version you are and which software channel (I'm on reteu (NOT reteu2), build number: PPW29.98-66)?

Same here. Switched of GPS, cellular and Wifi over night: 12-20% loss over night.
Even when it's fully loaded, it looses about 2% in the first 10 Minutes. Down to 92% after about an hour.
(Reteu 2 / PPW29.98-66)
I share my (sad) experience, too. I tried several situations (switching off everything, leaving only wifi and/or mobile data, leaving only call signal) but I does have impressive battery drain during night: in a 8-hour sleep I lose from 5 to 8%. Last thing I should try is using a normal, not-fastcharge, charger and see how it behaves. I'll send screenshots and share the results asap.
Does anyone tried to hard reset the phone? I'd try but reinstalling and configuring all apps would be really annoying to me so I haven't done it yet.

Did you try to make a factory data reset? I may try asap. I lose 4% in airplane mode in 8h sleep

Trying it out myself atm

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro before depleting the battery.

Terrific battery life. I averaged 10+ SOT from my first charge. 90hz always on, QHD always on, brightness varied from Maximum to minimum depending on time of day, mixed usage of camera, youtube, app downloads etc. Very pleased with the battery life. Charging speeds are ridiculous too, 46mins from 0 -100. The battery will get even better as the AI learns the usage pattern. Just excellent

My experience has reflected yours almost exactly! I am thoroughly impressed with the battery life of this device. Battery anxiety is literally not a thing as even if you run low it charges so ridiculously fast that you are topped up before you know it, lol.
Got more than ten hours and have been on phone all day on social apps and YouTube watching videos. With Max resulution and 90 Hz refresh. Plus hotspoted some friends for about 3 hours while in use and I've only put on my power saving at 9%. Full charge at 1 pm today.

Got more than 10 hours of SOT with Max resolution and 90 Hz refresh. Last charge to 100 at 1 pm. Been on it nonstop and had hotspot on for a good three hours. This phone shocks me a lot. Been watching videos and on social media. So quite some heavy use. The king of battery.

This is really great!
Hey guys, got mine second hand (1 year old, still in warranty, perfect, like new condition with 95% battery health calculated by system) but I'm having a different experience. 4 to 5 hours SoT and I charge it daily. Maybe due to EMUI12?

Share your Battery Performance on the OPPO Find X5 Pro

While using the OPPO Find X5 Pro as my primary device for about two months now, I've been very impressed with the battery. I use my phone throughout the day for social media, videos, and work-related stuff like email and documents. I find myself charging my phone about once a day, but only need to charge it for about 10 minutes before I'm ready to go again. I thought I'd share some insight on my battery usage so far and see how other users are liking its performance.

OPPO Find X5 Pro Battery Specs:
5,000mAh capacity
80W wired charging
50W wireless charging
10W reverse wireless charging
My Battery Life based on my UsageAt night, I use the O Relax app to play thunderstorm sounds via a Bluetooth connection to my speakers. I usually have these sounds playing for about 7 hours, which consumes about 20-25% of my battery overnight. So if you plan on using your phone with overnight ambient sleep sounds, make sure you have about a 35% charge just in case.
As you can see from my usage stats, I charge my phone once a day, usually when it gets down to about 30% capacity. Based on my phone usage, I could stretch my battery life to about 1 day and 18 hours before reaching 0%. With Power saving mode and Super power saving mode, that can be extended even more to 2 days and 15 hours.
Battery Saving Tip: I use the high refresh rate setting for my phone, which is a super nice feature to have. However, if you want to get another 9 hours of usage from your phone, change the refresh rate to 60Hz. The high refresh rate setting is the most significant factor in your battery drain speed.
Charge Speed TestTo drain my battery for this test, I looped a 4K HDR video from YouTube at full brightness. It took 5hrs to drain the battery fully.
Now for the battery charge test. I cannot use the SuperVOOC charger that came with my phone since it is a European model. Instead, I will use a 90W charger from RAVPower. The OPPO Find X5 Pro has the ability to charge at a max of 80W.
0 - 50% : 40min
0 - 100% : 80min
If you've been able to use the included charger, please share your charging results in this thread. Also, what do you think about the overall battery experience with your OPPO Find X5 Pro?
