I have first generation Zenfone 6, before Asus relased a apk tool for unlocking bootloader i can easily unlock my Asus Zenfone Z002's bootloader by uploading ifwi files to phone. After Asus changed this to apk method this won't be working, i'm getting errors like non-secure image while importing twrp or roms with adb. Also apk doesn't work any version of standart roms relased from zenfone so because of that i stuck with latest android 5. Someone can help me about that?

Asus did not publish bootloader unlock tool for you device. (Zenfone 5 lite) so you have no chances. This tool does not exist.
I think no. He can unzip ifwi.zip in system package and use same method for zenfone 5 T00J (A500CG)

Zenfone 6's a601cg model unlocks bootloader with a600cg's files. You can try a500cg's files but its risky
I have twrp installed but i just typed fastboot oem lock now my bootloader is locked but i m on twrp how can i unlock bootloader.... since i m blocked from asus fota server so i cant unlock by signed unlock tool..... plz help me i think i need the oem unlock code...... or if any one can provide me the same models oem unlocked image file and i may flash that to unlock boot loader.... plz help guys.....
And does any of the auto root tool works for asus zenfone max android 6

I too have the same problem. I even bricked my phone dong os, ended up flashing using flash tool. Now, the bootloader is locked and unlock tool is not working. Someone help

volte lost and bootloader locked
Hey everyone, i recently flashed the cleanmax rom and i lost my volte for ever.
So after this incident, i thought i must flash the stock rom using fastboot. :it didnot work:
so i deep flash the rom using edl mode and guess what i lost the imei,serial no. and my bootloader got locked again.and i got the lollipop rom.
i somehow manage to write the imei and serial no. and updated my rom to mm.But now i cannot unlock my bootloader again.And volte is still not working anybody please help i am a broke person and i cannot buy a new phone.please please help

There is no way u can re unlock the bootloader,but there is a workaround.Flash the beta marshmallow rom for 8916,watch the youtube video and check description,its a trick how to flash the beta.then simply flash twrp.the beta rom allows to flash twrp through fastboot.I found this method by myself over a month time

I tried the unlock app yesterday. Downloaded it from Asus website. It worked. I m nw rooted with magisk using boot patch method.

I uncompiled the aboot partition and found all the oem specific codes to lock or unlock bootloader but almost all oem codes are locked hence nt able to find a way to unlock till now.

I would like to root it with magisk but I have a lot of problems.
FIRST. I have to unlock the bootloader but Asus didn't release the tool for Oreo.
I tried to unlock through fastboot using these following commands
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot oem unlock
But nothing happens. How can I unlock the bootloader?
SECOND. I didn't find, in the case I will be able to unlock the bootloader, TWRP recovery or better I found TWRP in a guide about rooting this model but with Nougat OS. The question is. Can I use this TWRP for Nougat or I need a TWRP designed for the model with Oreo?
An alternative, I found here a guide to root this device without TWRP patching boot.img with Magisk Manager and flashing it through fastboot. Could it be a valid solution?
But please help me to unlock this bootloader. I will never buy again asus ZenFone. They disappeared a d if I ask for the unlock tool Oreo they answer: we will refer this to our technicians

The Oreo update came in 2018 and i doubt they release anything 2 years later. And i think that tool is required to even be able to use those commands in fastboot. So if you want to unlock bootloader you should downgrade to an older version and use the tool , which i am currently looking for.
