Hello,
I have a Galaxy S8 G950W. Currently I'm on Orea, but from my understanding, in order to root this version of the phone it needs to be on Nougat. I'm in the process of downloading the Nougat firmware for my specific version/carrier for the S8. Are there any guides on how to downgrade?
Side note; I'm also interested in LineageOS. After a few quick searches I wasn't able to find if there is a version for the Galaxy S8 G950W. Does anyone know?

Hi, my galaxy model is SM-G935U, I am on 6.0.1 and I was wondering if it is possible to update to Nougat in some way. I go to software update on my phone but it doesn't show up like other youtube videos. Is it just not out for my model yet?
It's not out for any of the snapdragon handsets yet. We might not see it until after the S8 launches.
Hey, I'm pretty new to rooting but I've recently purchased a Verizon G935V Galaxy S7 Edge running the latest Nougat version and I've spent the past day attempting to figure out how to root this thing correctly, with my version of the s7 edge and nougat. I don't usually feel the need to make any posts requesting assistance because usually with enough googling I can figure it out myself, but I've given up. Please guide me in the right path to get this thing rooted, I can't seem to find any recent videos or forum post with the correct versions I'm looking for.
Verzion Qualcomm Snapdragon SM-G935V S7 Edge running 7.0 Nougat with April 1st, 2017 Android Security Patch Level. If anymore information is needed, feel free to ask

Hello, so I have seen numerous threads about the AT&T Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 SM-T817A. I used Odin and the combination firmware from a post on here to update my tab to Nougat but have yet to find anything definitive about root for this variant. Just wondering if I have possibly overlooked it by chance and if not does anyone by chance know if it's in the making?

You might get a quicker response by providing more specific information. You'll need to give phone model information (G930F? G930W8? G930VZ? Exynos? Snapdragon? etc.). Once you have that figured out then a Google search might even be more productive.
Hello all,
Kind of a newbie on these forums so bear with me. I currently own a AT&T S7 G930A model. I was thinking of rooting it to add a custom ROM to it (such as Lineage OS) would this be possible? If so, please direct me to a proper thread or provide me with some guidance.

Baseband version G930AUCSACSH3
