plz port note 20 ultra notes.apk latest version to note 9 - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Themes, Apps, and Mods

can someone port note 20 ultra latest notes.apk for our note 9 .
thanks

I think it will come with an update of the app itself from the Galaxy Store. Could be wrong though.

You can manually install the latest apk from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-notes/samsung-notes-4-0-02-24-release/samsung-notes-4-0-02-24-android-apk-download/ if you have root, just replace the APK and set permissions.

Idk, I just decided to test it and see if it worked. There is a new voice thing and some other features that I didn't actually test. You need to replace the base.apk in /system/app/com.samsung.android.app.notes/ (could also be in /system/priv-app/com.samsung.android.app.notes/ ). It can't be installed normally for some reason.
The only thing that doesn't work for me is the Off-screen notes. The screen just stays black, I'm trying to find a fix.

How to install the Nexus 5 GEL dialer on your Moto X [ROOT ONLY]

Haven't tried this myself since I'm not rooted but thought I would pass this along.

This isn't GEL. This is just the GEL dialer which allows you to search for businesses within the dialer like the Nexus 5.
And yea, you need to be rooted for this to work.
Ops! My bad. I didn't see "dialer"

Yes I tried searching several businesses. And there is only one phone icon. I placed it in system/priv-app and changed permissions to 0644.

You're supposed to create a shortcut for the new dialer and make that your new phone icon.
If this happens on your phone, the only solution we found was to use Nova Launcher because it has a feature that allows you to run a specific activity within an app. To set this up:
1. Within Nova Launcher, long-press on the home screen.
2. Choose "Shortcuts"
3. Select "Activities"
4. Find "Google Dialer" in the list, then tap to open it up, and select "Phone" (use the first one in the list)
This will put a shortcut to the dialer on your home screen. At this stage, you can use this to access Google Dialer. It's not the cleanest solution, but it does work.

If you're not running a custom launcher like Nova, you can also use this app to create the shortcut:

Okay. I'm using GEL. I will do this in a few and report back. Thanks

No prob. Glad you got it working.
So I installed the APK and added a shortcut Nova Launcher and I can search for businesses and stuff just fine, but when I try to make a call in the dialer it crashes. I downloaded the apk from 2 different mirrors so that isn't the issue. I would try to flash the zip but I don't have the slightest idea how to do that.

Did you follow these steps?
2. Flash the ZIP file in a custom recovery, or copy the APK file directly into /system/priv-app.
3. If you opted to move the APK file manually, you'll need to set the permissions on the APK to 644 after moving it into its proper folder. Do this either through your file manager app or via a shell.
4. Reboot your phone.

Well I got it to work somehow. I'm not entirely sure what I did differently this time but oh well.

Do you have root access?
Is there any way around if you don't have root?
Self promotion aside, I created a thread for this a while back. This dialer works flawlessly without the need for nova or an activity launcher.

Greenify not hibernating automatically

Hello,
My Greenify app doesn't hibarnate apps automatically for some reason, thought everything is correct with the permissions in the SuperSu and in the Greenify app itself...
Does anybody know what might be the cause for such thing?

Try becoming a beta tester, 2.3 is in beta status. Also xposed framework makes it possible for greenify to have a few extra features.

Together with Xposed, i am hitting 2 days and 20 hours on every cycle with 3 to 4 hours screen time.

I updated yesterday. I noticed that apps that previously were not automatically hibernating are now.
Yes that's because latest 2.6 Xposed causes it to break the coding of greenify system but it was fixed with the updates.

I have the same problem, apps seem to stay in the "pending" list unless I hibernate them manually. Auto hibernation is enabled.
I have a Nexus5, stock Android + franco kernel, Greenify 2.4beta15 and xposed 2.6.1. Also have superSU.
If I check my superSU logs I can see that Greenify doesn't make any requests by itself.
Has there been found any solutions yet?
Managed to get it to work by downloading the latest beta version (2.4 beta17).

Help installing other fonts

Not too pleased with the stock font options.
I've tried a couple APKs, resulting in a load of incompatible fonts, and I'm hesitant to try the 3rd party apps and the flashback zips since we're not using full twrp out can.
Any suggestions? What do you use?
Thanks!

Font Installer from Google Play.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.font.installer
You can also install fonts from online and install them using this app. Right now I'm using Roboto Light Condensed. This app works great and is safe.
Doesn't require you to flash zips at all. It installs right from within the application.

You can't install it with the package installer.. You would need to copy the apk and the odex file to /system/app or /system/priv-app (depending where the original apk was) then change the permissions to match the other apps. There is a folder structure for apps usually in /system/app/app_name_here there is a arm sub folder there the odex goes and the apk goes in the root. Just look at another app in /system/app or /system/priv-app in a file Explorer to see what I mean

Well again you need to remember that was day 1 plus you cnat assume one person's usage will return the same results for you. That battery data means nothing since we don't know what they were doing, GPS on Bluetooth etc... You can't assume yours will be the same. My Nexus 6 can get 3-7 hours SOT deepening on my usage so again it varies depending on the person and what they are doing.

Honor 6 Plus Marshmallow update for UK is available.

Manual download for Honor 6 Plus (PE-TL10) in the UK is now available.
http://www.hihonor.com/uk/support/details/?DOC_ID=79627
1. Download zip from link above.
2. Unzip the zip file so you have update file
3. Place file in the dload folder on the root of your phone
4. Go into update app or settings > update, Tap menu and "Local Update"
Will post how it goes after I have updated.
Bad zip !! unable to extract !!
Sent from my PE-TL10 using Tapatalk
You must have had a bad download then. It worked perfectly for me.
Currently running marshmallow on my honor 6 plus, update went perfect, no errors.
Notable changes:-
New system animations and overl design.
New layout for the settings menu.
Expected marshmallow features such as Google now on tap etc.
Feels smoother than lollipop but time will tell.
Not sure about battery life just yet, only been using for about an hour so far.
New smart window view, changes with your theme and displays more than it used to.
Shortcuts menu has been changed to be able to limit how many shortcuts you can see.
Navbar at the bottom of the screen is smaller.
Battery % inside or beside the battery icon option.
Split screen apps (works fine but app compatibility is limited).
Redesigned recent app drawer, looks more like iOS or windows phone now.
Compass app built in.
Camera seems to take pictures quicker now in wide aperture or HDR mode.
Messaging app has been changed slightly but nothing major.
New themes available obviously.
Probably other changes too but those are the notable ones.
Some screenshots to show what it's like
Compass has a camera built in which is where you can see the shot out of the door.
Edit: There are also different view mods, adding screenshots for the options but not what each one looks like, restart required when you change view mode
