I've been looking for an aftermarket headunit for my Mini Cooper S (year 2007), and found several on Ali. I'm particularly interested in the below unit:

Questions:
1. I've been checking whether custom roms are available for the AutoChips chip series, but all I could find on xda are for RockChip. Will these work on the above unit (it comes with Android 10)
2. Could somebody recommend any other unit for a Mini Cooper S R56 (year 2007) with the silver CD and separate volume control that can be modified with a custom rom?

I asked the vendor to send me the MCU version and he sent me this, if it helps identify the unit:
MOLY.LR12A.R3.MPV54.5

After Ive saw it with a new android version and Ive asked to seller the firmware:

Ive updated HU from settings/general/system update and now HU has got:
ANDROID VERSION: 5.1.1

At moment HU wi-fi works only with Samsung phone, if I use iPhone as HotSpot it connect but after says "authentication problems" basically looks like works just with android hot spots
I would like to know how far I can upgrade its FIRMWARE / MCU without dismantling HU
I did download UBOOT but I don't know where copy it into the root folder of the SD card and how I can flash it (if is needed)
On my laptop Ive successfully installed PHOENIX SUIT and GOOGLE USB DRIVER (I did copy/paste inside ADB_Driver all files except source.properties)
I did install on my HU PCUpdate.apk
I did start it and HU was in flash mode, then Ive plugged HU to laptop with man/man USB cable
Laptop found a new device but it was not identified / unknown device (Ive tried both USB plugs on HU)
I hope my post will be also useful for people with same HU

I recently bought a used car with an aftermarket HU. It came with the box for it, which says it's from A-Sure, but it doesn't say which particular model it is. Looking at A-sure's website, it looks like this or this one, but I don't know if it actually IS one of them? Can someone help identify my unit and point me to compatible ROMs and instructions for it?

I have the eonon GA9450B which seems to be a good unit, but the UI is a bit rubbish. I was wondering if there are any roms I can install instead of the stock?
I've done a search and have not found anything hence I thought I would ask via a question.

Since it's not an MTCx unit. You might find info by searching '8227L' and also posting in forum with other MTK processor units. I've requested a mod moves this question to the Android Head units forum, because your unit isn't MTC nor does it have a specific sub forum.

Hello there! I am a new member in this forum, and after searching a lot (and being confused a lot) about my newly installed Android Head Unit, i decided to post some questions i have, hoping for answers from some people with more knowledge than mine.
About a month ago i got a head unit installed on my Opel Corsa D and from there on i kept digging into it.
The manual of the HU was branded as "Bizzar Multimedia" so i can't know the exact manufacturer, so i can't really search for updates
As it was advertised to me and as the info of it says, it is an Android 9 version, but i know it is lower, like 7.
Here are some info about the HU:

I think that the version it says is fake cause i have seen some Android 9 units, and it is nothing like mine
2. I want to understand about MCU updates and how i can make one if there is any newer MCU
I want to undestand more so i hope i am asking the right questions.
