Hi! I have a Huawei p smart 2019 (not pro) phone with EMUI 10 installed.
I'd like to root this phone with that EMUI version but I don't find anything related about this. Is this task possible?
I'm tired of searching info on the internet with no results.

Hi. Did you find anything? I have the P Smart 2020 and I am also struggling to find information about it. At least yours received EMUI 10, mine is most likely stuck on 9.1 :silly:

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any posts about this topic.
I recently came into possession of an unlocked P10 Lite, which currently has EMUI 5.1.,1 build WAS-LX1C432B184 on it. I see a lot of posts about P10 Lite EMUI 8 and I was wondering whether this implies that any P10 Lite can get an EMUI 8 update or are there two P10 Lite models on the market with each having a different OS version? Neither the updater app on the phone nor HiSuite will offer me an upgrade to EMUI 8, so this confuses me a little.
Having that option would be nice, because there are some very nice-looking ROMs on this forum which I'm hoping to try out, but most of them have the prerequisite of already having EMUI 8.

If you have android 7 you can use HWOTA 7, of course for that you need an unlocked bootloader, there is no way around it.

I contacted Huawei one of their customer services people said we will not be getting emui 10. But then another just said they cannot confirm yes or no.
I have Mate 9 dual sim MHA-L29C900B126. I m not getting any update OTA etc. My device version is android Nougat 7 emui 5.

no idea, if you can wait I will do a procedure to install an Android 13 ROM on the Psmart 2020. It is in test at the moment.
