root my dell streak, not shure

Hello, I'm Luis, and i'm newbie here i have bought about 4 months my streak.
Also installed one firewall for some programs don't use 3G connections and only use wifi. that firewall requires root acess.

when i press to update from sd card, appears the follwing message:
"Press shutter button to start emergency recovery software"
"Warning: all data will be erase"
"Press volume up to turn off"
What you can tell me about second line "all data will be erase"?

I'm betting I know what happened here. After flashing the custom recovery with fastboot, you let your phone reboot didn't you? If you are on a stock rom, flash a custom recovery, and let the phone reboot, the stock rom will rewrite the recovery with the stock recovery.
After flashing the custom recovery, pull the battery. Now replace the battery and power up while holding both volume buttons. When you choose option 2, it will boot into streakmod recovery, where you can flash the superuser.zip file.
Thought I should add:
After rooting, use a root enable file manager (search the market, there are lots of them. I prefer Root Explorer, but it is not free) to delete /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
Now, since you had to boot with your stock rom, your custom recovery is gone. But you can flash it again and it will stay.

hmm, but i never flash it. Its the original rom, only thing i have done, is OTA upgrade to Froyo..
how can i install a costum recovery?

Welk if you havent flashed it, then thats your problem. You have to flash a custom recovery. And yes, I mean Streakmod. Read those tutorials. They will tell you what you need to know.

sorry, when they say: "Unzip and flash with: fastboot -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img"
Its suppose to do this from the phone (but in fastboot, there is olny numbers, no other leters or simbols), so its to do on the computer with usb cable plugged?

Just go thru it. Make sure you read it again and again.
It is not from mobile. You have to connect your streak to PC. Switch that on by pressing the volume + - button and you get to see the driver installation.
You need to install the drivers first on PC.
Then you need to download the fastboot tools (above link contains all)
Open command prompt from fastboot file location
copy the rom/image (what ever you want to flash) to that location
Do the fastboot
I am not going in to detail as the wiki gives much better instructions !

Before doing most things mentioned below you will need "adb" and "fastboot" installed. Two of your options are to install the Android SDK Tools or the Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool. If you are somewhat new to this I highly recommend the second one. Go here, download the latest version (1.3.1 as of this writing), and install it. When setup is complete you should have an icon for the Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool.
Note: I highly recommend you add "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot" to your PATH variable in Windows. This way you can open a Command Prompt anywhere and use adb or fastboot.
1) Unlock Bootloader
Power on the phone and skip through all of the setup options
Go to Settings -> About device
Tap Build number five times to enable Developer options
Go to Settings -> Developer options
Enable OEM unlocking
Enable USB debugging
Plug the phone in to your PC and authorize it
Open a Command Prompt
Type adb reboot-bootloader
The phone should reboot and in a very tiny font at the bottom you should see => FASTBOOT mode
Type fastboot devices to verify that your PC sees it correctly
Type fastboot oem unlock
Press Volume Up to say Yes and wait for this to finish

You can configure your phone now or just skip through all of the setup options and do that later

type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img to flash recovery
Type fastboot reboot
Rooting-
Download BETA-SuperSU.zip and save it to the phone's internal memory or an inserted microSD card
Plug the phone in to your PC
Open a Command Prompt
Type adb reboot recovery
You should now be in twrp. Go to Install zip, find SuperSU.zip, and install it
When it finishes go to Go Back -> Reboot Phone -> No
Once the phone boots up launch SuperSU and configure it as you like

i have doogee x5 max-s (i geuss limited editon in algeria ) with mtk6735 . i do evrything and all steps but when i reboot to recovery mode i have ( no command ) in the screen .... how to fix that ? sorry for my ****ty english XD

I had the same Issue but i have found a solution!
After you have flashed the twrp recovery, dont reboot the phone! the "recovery.sh" will replace the twrp on every boot!
Just pull off the battery after flashing, disconnect usb and put the battery back in to the phone.
Now get in to the recovery by pressing volume up and power button together until the select bootmode menue appears.
select recovery with the volume up button and enter with the volume down button.
and now you should be in the twrp main menue.
i hope it works for you too!

It does not work from step 12, all the drives are correctly installed and windows recognizes the cell, the recovery image is in the internal memory and also in the sd but of the error "can not load Recovery.img". I tried all the tutorials on the net to do root and nothing worked.The flash does not recognize to pass the recovery also the installed drivers because windows recognizes the cell phone.

use sp flash tools to flash recovery, scatter also added with twrp

Flash does not pass the file in the download only option, the process does not start. I reinstalled ROM by firmware mode all ok, but the process of passing recovery on command 12 and 13 of the error message. I manually copied the recovery to the sd and internal memory but also from the error. Does not find the file speaks that it is not a command found.

Until today I could not do root on x5 max pro. In the method below even downloading the twrp when starting with the power + volume down button start with a menu in Chinese and if you start with volume up + power goes in the default recovery mode.

Same as Pitro1 I am on 16.01 update and I cannot install twrp no matter what I try.
I tried x32 and x64. I tried rebooting directly on recovery or first load system and then adb reboot recovery. I tried to format all first (now I lost my Imei and so on lol). I downgraded and updated again. Downgrading works only with 26.12 version. All others are giving me Colorado lines on the screen and nothing else...
OEM unlock, file transfer, adb, fastboot, drivers detection, are all working good. Only I cannot install twrp...
Also I cannot write nvram nor with SN Writer 2.1504 nor with Imei & SN Writer 1.7.2, MetaAP mode fails all the time...
I'm just about to send it back...

i returned the phone as i had no imei anymore.
i got a new one, i did not put any sim or whatsoever, i just unlocked bootloader, and updated to 16.01 version
then i tried to install twrp via fastboot and it did not work, i did it with sp flash tools as advised and removing the battery prior (don't forget to!). it worked !

How old is your phone and what build version was it at before you started? Because this doesn't work on mine. Which of the "Android 6" ROMs did you flash to start with as I've tried flashing mine back to an earlier one in case it's something with the later stuff that my phone has come with but they either don't make a difference or they won't even boot.
I tried the method in the first post here and the phone wouldn't even boot (switch on and you get the Doogee logo in silver for a few seconds then it reboots and does the same again). I had to flash the stock ROM from NeedROM to get it working again.
I've tried flashing TWRPx32 and x64 available NeedROM both with SPFlash tools and with ADB. Generally flashing it with ADB from the command line leaves the phone in that boot-loop. If I flash it with SPFlash when you try to boot into Bootloader afterwards you get the Doogee logo in silver for a few seconds then it seems to reboot again on it's own and boot normally - you don't even get the menu to choose Fastboot, Recovery or Normal. From then on trying to boot to the Bootloader gives you the menu but choosing Recovery gives you the standard recovery.
It's almost as if something is overwriting the recovery partition with the original after I flash TWRP onto it.
Anyone got any suggestions about where I might be going wrong or a way around whatever additional security they might have put in there?

Hi. I have tried to root my x5 max pro with flash tools to load TWRP, but it always restarts normally and the TWRP does not come out. I found you and I started to try this method to load the TWRP. Does everything good, unload bootloader and load recovery, but loading the TWRP gives me error .:
Device unauthorized.
This adb's $ ADB_VENDOR_KEYS is nor set; Try adb kil-server if that seems wrong

rooting X5 Max pro in Ubuntu 16.04
Hi all, this is my first china phone and I basically bought it only to experiment, I'm a linux power user but this is the first time I 'play' with an android OS.
thanks to multiple guides and posts on this and other forums I'm getting somewhere and learning a lot about how to manage an android OS, I'm sharing a bit of info I unovered about doing this under ubuntu but I'm also stuck and in need of guidance, please help me.
Linux specific issues:
I'm running ubuntu 16.04 LTS, installed fastboot and adb tools from ubuntu repos, with these tools and no other modification to my system I could follow the tutorial on how to unlock the OEM bootloader with adb and fastboot.
accordingly to this post about SP flash tool in linux you might need to blacklist a modem manager module in order for SP flash tool to connect to the phone, you also need to install usb development tools (package libusb-dev) and check through dmesg that your linux OS can actually properly read mediatek usb devices.
After following the above mentioned instructions (both the linux sp flash tool tutorial and the bootloader unlocking howto) I could get SP flash tool linux (multiple version) to see the phone after you connect it while SP flash is downloading the new recovery image and flash it with an ok message.
If you get stuck with a BROM error 1013 remember to start sp flash tool with root privileges.
Phone specific issues:
I can get SP flash tool to flash my phone recovery with an ok message confirmation but the phone keeps rebooting with doogee recovery and not twrp. I'm on the newest stock ROM update (20170116) as of current post date. I've been using 32 bit TWRP images from multiple sources and linux version 5.1620 of spflash tool from their website
so my questions are as following:
1) after reading other posts I think I might have to play with different versions of SP flash tool and TWRP until I get the right combination, I think I might be using 64bit spflash tool for linux to flash a 32bit rom or something like that, can anybody confirm precise version number of the stock rom, TWRP and SP flash tool that worked out for you?
2) should I try to install the whole stock ROM posted in this chinadevices thread before trying to flash only TWRP recovery? please also check the linked thread for multiple custom ROM being ported to this phone, please also note that the full stock rom this poster uploaded (it's in the "all firmware" link) contains another flashing tools with chinese instruction called MultiDownloadTool.

Same here. May a work around would be finding out the oem commands in fastboot. I have seen a tutorial to get them, but you have to be root: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-discover-hidden-fastboot-commands/

I search a simple method
Why all so complicate? I am searching for a simple way to root.
For my old Doogee X5, I discovered just
update-ROOT-DOOGEE_X5.zip
Copy the zip to the micro-SD-card
Settings -> Phone info -> Update -> menu "update local" -> choose zip from micro-SD-card.
Start update.
That's all!
Now I search for such a simple solution for my new Doogee X5 MAX pro.
I do not want any methods with "volume down power", because my X5 MAX pro has the menus after "Volume down power" start in Chinese language.

Hi there,
I just tried the first file you posted, (twrp-x32-rom), and this one works for me after all previous attempts to boot up TWRP failed. Thanks for the link !
What I had tried before:
I have a relatively new X5 Max Pro, which I ordered a week ago. I updated the firmware to the newest version (20170116) using the OTA update function.
Then I tried to flash TWRP using the files from "needrom.com" which seem to have worked on older versions of the phone/firmware, but did not work for the newer versions.
I tried 32bit and 64bit TWRP versions and flashed them with SP flash tool, but when pressing Vol+/Power the phone would not boot into TWRP recovery. Insted, when selecting "Recovery" from the boot menu, the phone would show the Doogee logo in silver, then blink once, then boot up normally. When repeating this process, then phone boots into Stock recovery, indicating that the TWRP I flashed was replaced by stock recovery.
However, I just flashed the recovery.img from "TWRP LATEST" (the first file posted by Neaw) with SP flash tools and was finally able to boot into TWRP. I installed the superSU-zip 2.79 included in the link, and I am now rooted. Once again, thanks for posting this :good:

Hello Guys i have a serious problem with my phone.....i have Malware on it and i cant uninstall it or anything alse.....the worst thing is that my phone not responding in any connection except that charging.....i can't have access on my storage cause this is not allowed or gives the choice! i tried everything but nothing nor the usb debugging or anything else please give me your help!!!!

How to flash TWRP and Root Moto X Style on Marshmallow

I am using moto x style and unlocked bootloader with 'Windroid Universal Android Toolkit' v2.5 but cannot flash TWRP and root this apl. Today I tried flash TWRP and then root but after showing 'Congratulation' pop up,my phone stucked on 'No command' page. I tried twice and same result. Later i check there is either no TWRP or root by SuperSU. And i see youtube video and and read many XDA forum and comments and most of the users says the phone stuck on M logo page when reboot after the root process. And all says its a issue with Marshmallow. And most of the xda posts and youtube video are made during 5.1.1 so there is no problem in that video during flash TWRP and root. So i need a seamless process to flash TWRP and root on Marshmallow so that it doesnot stuck on M logo. And I dont want to downgrade to L for root. And unluckily if it stuck M logo thwn what to do to go back to home screen?Thank you.

My build no is 24.49-18-4. So is this process suitable for this build no? And still i dont flash TWRP. I tried with "Windroid Universal Android Toolkit app" to flash TWRP. though it showed a 'Successful' pop up but it didn't. Can I go with any old process to flash TWRP or u have a new process?

Step 1 - Stop using toolkits! They rarely work right on modern Android devices. With the Moto the only safe, reliable way to root is manually.
I don't know what the 'old way' is to flash TWRP your referring to here... I recommend one time booting twrp with "fastboot boot twrp.img" command (replace twrp.img with your actual twrp image file) then perform a backup to the SD card or USB OTG device and put it away for safe keeping. Then flash twrp either with twrp you have booted, or manually with "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img"
The rooting method I linked before is valid for all Marshmallow builds, if you have Lollipop or Nougat you need to find a different method.

If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install.

So Moto is a tad different... After you flash recovery, do not reboot with fastboot, instead use the Vol Dn key select Recovery and press Power to start it. When the splash screen comes up, allow changes to system, then I the TWRP main menu select Reboot - Recovery, the device will start TWRP again and it should be "locked" in. From there perform the rooting.

That mean after typing fastboot flash recovery twrp.img press enter and then i can plug off the usb keeping my device on fastboot then changes to recovery and do the rest?
Btw suppose if i dont want to root it at that time,then what i do? I mean just after flash recovery how to go to home screen without rooting?
And when i want to perform root process later,after installing SuperSU zip if I press power button and vol down then may I go to twrp recovery or ph stock recovery?

OK... I'm confused, why are you unlocking and installing twrp if your not going root or flash a custom ROM?

I will definately do so. I also want to use CM14.1 but i want to do so step by step. Actually after facing issues 2-3 times i am little bit worry now. That is true. So hesitate to perform both at a single time.

You don't need to root if your going CM, flash TWRP, backup, and flash CM. You don't need to over complicate it.
If you boot (not flash) TWRP and backup then get a copy to safe place there is little risk of anything going wrong.

Ok. But is there any regular chance of going wrong during flash TWRP or flash CM? I backed up all internal important data to external sd card and when I perform these process I just remove that sd from phone.
You pls tell me how to go to home screen after flashing TWRP?
And if I need to root it later then also what to do then? I mean if then I press power and vol minus then will I get TWRP recovery to root it or it will be redirectred to phone custom recovery?

There is always a chance of something going wrong, no one can guarantee everything will be fine. We have had people do everything perfectly but something happens and it's bricked... It's rare but does happen.
After you flash TWRP in the bootloader, press Vol Dn until it says Recovery and press power to start it, after several seconds you will get a screen that will ask if it can write to system, select yes, the next screen will be the TWRP home screen.
Once you flash TWRP, your stock recovery is gone, but you access it the same way... Power off, press and hold PWR+Vol Dn and in the bootloader menu select Recovery and press power.

Thank you very much for your kind guidance and quick reply. I will perform this may be tomorrow and then inform you. If it is bricked or stucked in any stage/page then is there any instant process to go back to safety?

I am listing here only the commands,u just tell me is this ok?

Will these commands directly take me to twrp page?
And here I put a pic of the twrp page. If I dont want to root it then what to do? Click reboot option or anything else to do?

Your last two are redundant, either flash or boot, you don't have to do both, but each has a purpose... Flash is permanent, boot is transient and will disappear on a reboot.
Boot TWRP first, the first time it will not take you to the main page initially but show you a notification page asking if you want allow it to make changes to the system or keep it read-only, this time only do not allow changes... Then the main screen of TWRP will be displayed and you should do a full backup of all partitions to the SD card.
Flash will just write the recovery partition, it doesn't start anything, you select recovery from the fastboot menu to start it.

So after "fastboot boot twrp.img" i have to allow to make changes and have to do a nandroid backup. After that will I get option to "Reboot?"
And later when I went to recovery I will get twrp page instead of stock recovery? 1st I think I should flash cm13 then root then upgrade to 14.1 bcz still a feel little worry to root it on stock rom.

No, almost every part of what your saying is wrong...
Boot twrp and do not allow changes first time and backup. This will give a clean backup to restore from if things go badly.
After this is complete, in TWRP go to Reboot menu and select Bootloader, flash TWRP, do not reboot but use the bootloader menu to start TWRP. This time allow it to make changes to system. At the main menu if twrp go to Reboot - Recovery the device will restart and TWRP will load automatically, this step will lock in twrp so the stock OS doesn't replace it.
You only need to root stock rom, you don't need to root CM roms as they are already rooted (there are a few roms that are not pre-rooted but they are rare and none of the ones your talking about). As far as CM 13 vs 14.1 I can't really help you but from I've read both are stable enough for a daily driver device.

After typing 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img' i switch to recovery and select it. But it shows recovery failed,bla bla in red colour. I tried 3 times but same result. What to do? now again when I go to the recovery,i see still it is the stock recovery.

Help please can't see my phone in adb

I've had my Essential two weeks i was on 8.1 beta.Today i unlocked the boot loader.Then installed twrp while in twrp i side loaded magisk.I went back to fastboot then hit start .The phone just went into a bootloop.I Was able to go back to twrp 2 times but now i can't get back to any type of recovery.I Can get back to fastboot mode ishow all the info and secure boot says yes and device state unlocked.My pc see essential phone fastboot in the device manager but i can't get adb to see it .Can anyone help me ?

looks like i skipped this part . Once you're in TWRP, install the stock boot image and then the Magisk/SuperSU zip.Is there anything i can do?

adb only works while phone is booted into system so nothing wrong there. If you're in the bootloader menu where you see that the status of your device is unlocked then you're already in fastboot mode. Just flash twrp again and the sideload stock 8.1 beta boot image (you can probably find it on xda), sideload magisk too. Go into install and press flash image file and find the stock boot image and then go into install again and change to flash .zip and flash magisk. After that, reboot into system.

Do i need it to be zipped I've tried it as image that i downloaded from xda and I've tried a zip i got from Essential neither are working?

When i try i get invalid file format. This is using a zip i got from Essential.

Stuck twrp says no os installed . But i did learn how to push files.

thanks been there tried the Oreo beta that is what i was on when i started and tried the 1st build before the betas i get an error on both i'll try to download them on another pc my phone does show up when i type fastboot devices now just need an os now .

Okay got back to 8.1 bootloader still unlocked twrp not install and i don't have root.I may just wait until P comes out.I'll try and learn more about adb. Thanks for your help Arju.

Hey I'm sure you'll get the hang of it before android P drops. you did figure out what went wrong all by yourself so get a hold of the right boot.img and the rest is exactly as how you did it in the first place but flash the boot.img before magisk. Let me know if you want to give it a dive again.

This is the closest thread i could find to what is happening to my PH-1.
Like videodave1 I 'was' running the latest stock 8.1 and have my bootloader unlocked. In trying to root the phone I did this:
flash boot flash boot twrp.img
adb shell twrp sideload
adb sideload magisk.zip
All installations went well, but when trying to reboot from twrp it forced me to install the app. After that the phone went into boot loop.
* Note how I didn't sideloaded the Oreo 8.1 image before magisk.
By pressing all 3 buttons I can get the phone to reboot and releasing the volume up I can get to Fastboot. Just volume down and power doesn't work.
The problem now is that adb and fastboot no longer recognise the phone. adb devices just gives an empty list and fastboot only shows < waiting for device >
Trying to go into Recovery mode doesn't work either. Power off doesn't work and Restart bootloader, well, restarts the bootloader.
It might be relevant to mention that I'm running adb and fastboot from Terminal in a Mac and that this is my very first and frustrated attempt to root any phone.
For reference this is what the FastBoot Mode brings:
PRODUCT_NAME - Mata
VARIANT - OPENUS
BOOTLOADER VERSION - mata-aad8ac4
BASEBAND VERSION - 2.0.C4-M1.3.1
SECURE BOOT - yes

Even though your phone does not show up its there wipe everything.Fallow what Arju said in his post.I got back to stock then took the 8.1 update i'm not rooted but my bootloader is still unlocked.Oh make sure you unlock critical

I might be missing something hopefully obvious here. How can I flash twrp again if I my computer can't see the phone. With the USB phone plugged in and in the FastBoot screen I enter into Terminal:
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
and I get:
< waiting for any device >
How do I flash it from the FastBoot screen? BTW, going to Recovery mode just hangs at the Essential logo.

Thanks Arju. If you are referring to the FastBoot menu where you can use the up and down volume keys to select Start, Restart Bootloader, Recovery mode and Power off Yes, but not much else unfortunately.
If I select Recovery mode I don't go to the screen with the blue buttons from twrp.

What you need to understand is that twrp will not stick after you flash it. This device does not have a recovery partition and that's why you replace the boot partition with twrp and while you're in twrp you need to flash the boot.img back and whatever mods on top of that such as kernel etc.. If you flash a rom then it will replace the twrp with the boot.img found in the rom zip.
So now we need the computer to recognize you device. Could you unplug the cable and change the usb port on you computer. connect your phone while you're in the bootloader menu where it says start on the top.
The use use fastboot command: fastboot devices
See if the computer recognizes you device.

Sony Z5 Compact [E5803] (suzuran) Recovery install / root

QUICK STORY:​I UPDATED THE LINKS LINEAGEOS OFFICIAL WEBSITE REMOVED THEM! THESE ONES WORK.
Hi everyone, me and my friend we searched the whole internet for a compatible official recovery, which was impossible, and we were able to find one, after we flashed it we noticed that it was very unstable and it didn't recognize our SD CARD. The ROM and GApps were on that SD card. The system was not booting, the classical SONY logo was stuck. So after recompiling my own version of this recovery I was able to read the sd card. I know it's hard to root XPERIA phones, that's why I wanted to publish a working version for E5803. Not tested on E5823 but theoretically it should work, which you can do on your own risk.

THE PROCCESS:
Know that you are doing this on your own risk.
READING THIS TUTORIAL TILL THE END BEFORE ACTING.
Backup your device before even starting.
Your bootloader unlocked in your developer options (to enable developer options [system Info] --> [Build Number / tap 7 times]). Don't forget to enable USB Debugging, that's in the developer options too.
DOWNLOAD THE RECOVERY IT'S WORKING and tested (and compiled by me ): aHR0cHM6Ly9kcml2ZS5nb29nbGUuY29tL29wZW4/aWQ9MWljTWdNeEpsS0ZrSUN3WERRTEhPWXVoWkc3WGRLTnB4
Download ADB on your PC you can just install Minimal ADB and Fastboot. aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmRyb2lkbXRrLmNvbS9kb3dubG9hZC1taW5pbWFsLWFkYi1hbmQtZmFzdGJvb3QtdG9vbA== After that your PC has to grant access to your phone via ADB. To do that open Minimal ADB and fastboot and type

. Make sure your phone's screen is unlocked while doing that and of course your Phone has to be plugged in. A pop-up will appear, you have to accept it and CLICK REMEMBER. Don't forget that one.
Make sure you install Your Xperia Z5 Compact Drivers. Get your BOOTLOADER CODE using this link: aHR0cHM6Ly9kZXZlbG9wZXIuc29ueS5jb20vZGV2ZWxvcC9vcGVuLWRldmljZXMvZ2V0LXN0YXJ0ZWQvdW5sb2NrLWJvb3Rsb2FkZXIv Scroll down and Select your device, after that just Accept and tick the boxes below, and enter your IMEI number and click submit. If you have 2 SIM Cards you have technically 2 IMEI numbers, enter your first IMEI and click submit. Save that code very very well.
Now enter your fastboot mode by typing

. Then you wait for your blue light on your cellphone. After that you have to type this code

. Insert your code in that 'insert your unlock code' area but don't forget to remove the brackets around, and no space after '0x'. Voila! You unlocked your bootloader!
Now you have to flash the recovery using:

. The file path has to be given on your PC. If it worked you can simply type

to reboot your system. After that use you can boot to your recovery using

. Of course you have to say (optionally) Allow modifications and don't show that again, to the pop-up that will appear.
NOW JUST IN CASE you are the unlucky person and can't boot to your recovery do the following steps: First use

to boot to your recovery but temporary, while doing this you have to be in the fastboot mode. Then after the boot to your recovery make sure that your ROM, GApps and RECOVERY.img file is on your sd card / internal storage. In recovery mode click install and say install image and select your .img file you wanted to install. now reboot to your recovery again, after shutting down your device. It'll work this time. If you just wanted to install a recovery, boot your system and do what you want, or install Magisk or SuperSU, your call.
If you want to install a custom ROM you can install your ROM and GApps you want to your own way. Just for an example I'm giving a LineAgeOs 14.1 ROM link which has no bugs I noticed: aHR0cHM6Ly9kcml2ZS5nb29nbGUuY29tL29wZW4/aWQ9MUVvS3VlbzNjTmVBRmlOaEVXYTBiX2ZWVDFkUkhQREti and the mini GApps for the minimalistic Google Apps setup: aHR0cHM6Ly9vcGVuZ2FwcHMub3Jn
Select ARM64, Android 7.1 and mini and click that download button after the choices you made.
After those downloads, or if you have the files copy them to your device memory or sd card. You can do that outside the recovery mode. Now wipe your System, Cache, Dalvik-cache, Data, but not internal storage if your ROM files and stuff are there. If they are on your sd card you can wipe your internal storage. If your files are on your micro-sd don't wipe your micro-sd (just a fact don't forget that).
Now click on install, then select your lineageos file or custom ROM swipe for the install, do the same for the GApps after that. Now you can reboot and wait, that can take 10 minutes or something like that.

Everything went smoothly, but when I try `adb reboot recovery` or `fastboot boot <img>` it reboots to a blank screen. Any ideas?

Guys I need help, how do I boot to twrp without pc I'm using a sony e5803 because when I type "adb reboot recovery" it just boots to my home screen. I also tried "fastboot boot imagepath.img" and it says FAILED (remote: 'dtb not found") Can anybody help?
Edit : I got to work now, I figured out that the problem is is didn't update my android i was still on lollipop when I flash a global firmware and flash twrp it work fine.
