Lg v20 h91820h t-mobile bootloader cannot be unlocked - android 8 oreo - LG V20 Questions & Answers

UPDATE:
I successfully unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp, rooted, updated kernel and roms, tweaking gpu cpu for performance in pubg etc, greenify, flashify, power nap everything.
xposed framework take you in bootloop for this device.
now i am on kernel mk2000, superv20 rom, h91810u, 7 nougat.
if in future anyone feels any problem i am always here.
remember: linus is your friend for this device, and windows 10 suck.
and
sudo $(which fastboot) did miracles for me....
old post:
Hello everyone.
i am new here and i am sorry in advance if i did something wrong. i will come directly to the point.
model number: LG V20 T-MOBILE VERSION, H91820H, NON USA, Currently on oreo android 8.
we are not talking about any kind of roms kernels roots or anything here. just a simple question. " can this model's boot loader be unlocked ? like ever ? or not "
cause i have tried everything, when i say everything i mean everything. followed several posts on internet videos on you tube posts on XDA, tried using multiple PCs, multiple data cables, multiple drivers but for some reason i don't know what, this model's boot loader cannot be unlocked.
THE ERROR:
<WAITING FOR DEVICE> till eternity.
what i have done till now ?
1. lg drivers installed.
2. adb drivers installed with adb fastboot files.
3. updating legacy android adb interface driver, done.
4. went in to boot loader then connected the data cable and updated driver, done.
5. usb debugging oem unlock options activated, done.
6. restarted pc multiple times to update drivers, done.
we all know all it takes is 3 easy commands to unlock bootlaoder
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot reboot
but in my case i always stuck at 2nd command. waiting for device is shown and nothing happens.
then i ran command, adb devices>> it shows
List of devices attached
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
LGH9182bfc6bdc device
next i put the command, fastboot devices and nothing is shown i just go to the next line... c:\adb>
so this is for sure that my device is not connected to the fastboot.
now my only question is, can this device bootloader unlock or not ? so that i stop pushing my limits.
any help will be appreciated.
regards.

To be very precise after following the first step while unlocking the bootloader in the second step when we type fast boot devices it should show some hexadecimal numbers and it should confirm us that our device is in the fastboot mode but in my case whenever I type this command nothing happens that means my device is not recognised to go in the bootloader this is the main problem there is no point in following any of the posts if you cannot complete the very first stage of unlocking your bootloader if you can figure out what exactly is the problem I will be thankful to you because I have followed every step possible I've updated every ADB drivers LG drivers but nothing is helping out as even before starting the procedure of unlocking the bootloader my device is not going in the fast boot also I noticed one thing when I try to go inside the bootloader screen before that in my device manager it is shown as composit device but after that I think it gets disconnected fastboot oem unlock cannot work as it gives a message of waiting for the device after going are using the command ADB reboot bootloader so my problem is the command fastboot oem unlock is pretty useless as it waits for the device and it's stuck there forever please help me out if you can I will be thankful to you regards

Did you downgrade to software version H91810P? Because that should be the first thing you have to do to get everything else to work afterwards.

Thanks for the reply.
Can you please clear me one thing. To downgrade from h91820h to h91810p you need to unlock bootloader if i am not wrong. And in that case we will be back to square 1.
Its not about installing custom rom kernel recovery root or anything. Its only about unlocking the bootloader which i cannot do.
I hope you understand my pain.
I just want to unlock my bootloader thats it.
It used only 3 commands.
1. Adb devices - shows my device.
2. Fastboot devices - no fastboot device found.
This is the problem. When you cannot find any fastboot device even updating driver by going inside the bootloader the entire mission gets failed.
I cant find any solution for this. I dont know for what reason my device cannot be listed in fastboot mode.

fastboot doesn't work when the phone is booted up
adb reboot bootloader
followed by fastboot devices
Note: flashing the 10p kdz does not require the bootloader be unlocked
it requires you have patched LGUP
Example:
D:\fastboot>adb devices
List of devices attached
LGUS99740047103 device
D:\fastboot>adb reboot bootloader
D:\fastboot>fastboot oem device-id

As clsA said, flashing firmware does not require an unlocked bootloader.
Look at parts 1 and 2 of the other step by step guide here:

Thanks for the solution. May be this is it. All the time i have been doing it wrong.
Solution : flashing the 10p kdz does not require the bootloader be unlocked
it requires you have patched LGUP.
I will downgrade from 20h to 10p now and will give you feedback on this soon. Thanks a ton for showing a noob like me the right direction to work.

NEW UPDATE:
my lg v20 now on software h91810p is actually a T MOBILE version. and when i researched more about it i found out T MOBILE deliberately locks the boot loader of many devices and its unlockable.
possible work around can be if the software version installed on your phone can some how be an international version of your ROM, then only you can unlock the bootloader else none of your commands will work. now i am trying to flash this phone using an international ROM version if i succeed i will update. but according to my knowledge flashing other roms other than t mobile ones will definitely give errors in LGUP.

Do not flash another model's firmware onto the H918! Doing so will permanently brick your phone. The H918 in particular is incompatible with all other variants' software. Also, flashing H918 firmware onto any other model will also brick that phone.

Did you make the Linux USB boot stick
Are you following the guide at all?
PART 3: CREATING A BOOTABLE LINUX USB USING FWUL
DOWNLOAD FWUL_v2.7_x86_64_15GB.zip FROM THE LINK BELOW AND EXTRACT THE IMAGE FILE SOMEWHERE IN YOUR PC.
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=214529
DOWNLOAD RUFUS FROM BELOW AND INSTALL
https://rufus.akeo.ie/
INSERT A PEN DRIVE IN YOUR PC AND RUN RUFUS.
INSIDE RUFUS SELECT THE IMAGE FILE AND SELECT START (AFTER SELECTING START SELECT DD MODE IN THE DIALOGUE BOX) TO CREATE A BOOTABLE PEN DRIVE (WARNING: THIS WOULD FORMAT YOUR PEN DRIVE)
NOW YOU SHOULD BOOT YOUR PC FROM THE BOOTABLE USB STICK WHICH YOU HAVE JUST CREATED
THIS WOULD MAKE YOUR PC RUN LINUX OS
TYPE PASSWORD AS linux AND ENTER

Bootloader Unlocked

OK so I have an issue that I just cannot seem to fix. I've followed Max Lee's guide to unlocking the bootloader, obtaining root, and getting twrp. I've followed the written and video instructions to the t and a few guides in here, I have installed and updated the proper drivers and sdk tools, but my hitch is when I type the "fastboot oem Unlock" command, it says it finishes but my device doesn't reboot and ask if I want to proceed to unlock my bootloader, instead it just stays on the fastboot logo and does nothing until I restart it. This happens on both my mac and my pc so I'm not sure what the issue is I have usb debugging enabled and the allow oem Unlock slider is in the on position, any help or advice 8s greatly appreciated, thank you.

do you run an actual version of sdk-tools? fastboot recognized your phone, right? You can test it with following command: fastboot devices
Output is something like this:

Wiley Fox Swift2+ Bootloader Unlock

It seems that unlocking the BootLoader on the WileyFox Swift2+ is even easier.
To unlock the boot loader (WARNING!!! This wipes your user data!!!)
Go To 'Settings - About Phone' Tap 'Build Number' seven times to enable 'Developer Options'.
Go To 'Developer Options' Enable 'Advanced Reboot', Enable 'OEM Unlocking'
...## not sure if these next few steps are even needed!!
Connect to computer running "Minimal ADB and Fastboot"
Open command window as administrator (To prevent Win10 messing around).
Enter command "fastboot oem unlock"
...##
Press the phone 'Power Off - Reboot - FastBoot'
PC detects device and states "Follow instructions on device screen"
Phone screen issues dire warnings about unlocking Bootloader.
Proceed and job done Bootloader is Unlocked (device at this point not rooted).
The stock Swift2+ Cyanogen Rom is no longer available - seek out the LineageOS rom instead
I unlocked my bootloader the other day and those are the same steps I did so I can confirm this works.
I then proceeded to root the phone with SuperSU 2.78. Worked a treat.

Yes initially the only version of SuperSU I could find was v2.46, which kept failing.
Any help? My reboot menu doesn't have a fastboot option. Yes I have advanced reboot and oem unlocking enabled.
Edit: Sorted it. Turns out you have to reboot into the bootloader.

Is it too hard to google your question?
Works on most devices:
1) Turn off device
2) Hold VOLUME UP button
3) Connect device to PC via usb-cable
I installed SuperSU, before that I installed TWRP. Now I am unable to install the latest update "cm-marmite-a1478a0ee9-to-7aa1c797975e-signed"
When I download this update and perform the actual install, it gives an error. Restarting the phone via TWRP recovery gives the same error. I am getting "Error 7"
So no I want to revert back, to get rid off SuperSU and TWRP to install all updates and then later root the device with TWRP and SuperSU. How do I get the original state of the phone back?
Or do you have any advice how to get the latest update installed?
Thx.

edit: Updating to the latest Oreo update (8.1 I think)
---------- Post added at 08:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:14 AM ----------
ohhhhhhh, I had to turn the phone off while connected, already running "adb & fastboot" (not just adb) then (phone connected in USB debugging mode) turn off the phone and hold volume up (no need to hole the power key as connected and I got the option to unlock with a warning that I may void the warranty. Then my phone encrypted/re-encrypted itself (I think it was already encrypted).
Now to flash TWRP (3.2 I think) and flash a custom ROM (Lineage 15.1 / 8.1 Oreo) Not sure if I should root or not. And if I do, should I root before installing 8.1?
got damit i never understand how to flash twrp i followed what google said.
fastboot flash recovery XXX.img it does its thing i reboot still no recovery im on stock cm12 ? i think or cm13 android 6.0)

your device isn't picked up by fastboot ...first of all install the very latest version of adb ...using the usual Ubuntu story
sudo apt-get install adb
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get update
sudo reboot
then switch on your device
go to /settings/about/buildnumber
click until developer settings are enabled
go to developer settings
toggle oem unlock to on
toggle adb to on
WITHOUT SWITCHING OFF
connect device to pc/laptop with original orange wileyfox cable
now your Ubuntu machine
must install drivers and Mount the phone so it should appear as a mounted volume on desktop
now open a terminal
now run the following :
sudo adb
sudo adb devices
now look on your phone and pull down the notification shadse ..make sure you have adb connected and file transfer mode ..if not change from charge to file transfer ...
there should be a pop up window on phone screen asking for permission for adb ..select allways allow and give pernission / authorization ..
now in terminal run adb devices and it should return some value as connected device
run:
adb reboot bootloader
phone will reboot to bootloader

okay no problem
*i know everybody likes lineage and its usually more stable and the base for many custom roms
however just my 2cents worth ...i tried all the roms for our device ..but the by far the best for me was following the tutorial on how to make our device treble compatible ..
Then ...after 3-4 months of trying different treble GSI's i have stopped on Viper Official Pie 64bit A-only treble system.img ... at least give it a try after trying out lineageOs ..
you might thank me .
I can't get my device to show up usb debugging is on, Advanced Reboot', 'OEM Unlocking' etc. I've been trying for hours and hours. It shows up to transfer files if I want that mode so my PC is recognising it, but it doesn't seem to have drivers for adb. I've tried installing google usb drivers and also this: https://afterthoughtsoftware.com/posts/using-adb-with-wileyfox-swift
sorry if I haven't explained clearly, I'm just so sleepy from going around in circles. :|
I've rooted phones before and never had this issue. please can anybody help?
edit: have fixed I think! did two things at once so not sure which. I revoked usb devices so that my computer would have to ask permission again to connect (or something like this) and also clicked a thing on my PC to allow it to update what I think said driver icons automatically, which I wouldn't have thought would help, but it seemed to find the adb driver this time. I'd probably make more sense if it weren't 1am. :|
When i got my Swift 2 X, it came updated with 8.1 Oreo out of the box and the issue I had was unlocking the bootloader.
Sure fastboot oem unlock unlocked so I could flash recovery and roms but whenever I tried flashing a bootloader via fastboot, it gave me "FAILED (remote: Critical partition flashing is not allowed)". So that part was still locked.
This I fixed way back after searching around on my own about it but since the solution to this aint mentioned around here and I can't be the only one who have encountered this I think, I am just gonna add it in here.
There are now other commands to unlock your device, fastboot flashing unlock that does the exact same thing that fastboot oem unlock does and fastboot flashing unlock_critical is the command that unlocks the bootloader.
Both commands prompts you with the usual to confirm unlock and wipes your data.
It doesn't matter if you already unlocked the device with the oem command or flashing command, fastboot flashing unlock_critical should be able to unlock the bootloader either way.
My swift was also at 8.1 I had no problem unlocking the bootloader.

Doesn't seem that many who have this lock on their bootloaders, the only ones I could find here who had locked bootloaders the same way as I had are in the LineageOS 14.1 thread.
So at least I am not alone with that but sure makes me wonder how it is so for some while others not.
After unlock bootloader Everytime reboot always like this https://ibb.co/NSZR818

Moto G5 Plus not being detected under adb devices.

I had rooted my Moto G5 plus a couple of months back, I had to relock the bootloader and install the stock recovery and rom due to some reasons. I followed a thread on this website which had all the files and commands given to restore stock rom. Later, I decided to unlock the bootloader again. I followed the steps to unlock the bootloader but, my device isn't appearing under adb devices so, I am not able to do anything. I have installed all the moto adb drivers and checked oem unlocking and usb debugging under developer options but, my device doesn't appear under adb.
I used the following thread-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/stock-firmware-npn25-137-67-5-fastboot-t3694738
Everything in that guide is done in fastboot, so if you're in fastboot when you're trying to find your phone, try "fastboot devices" instead of "adb devices"
So, how do I follow the steps on moto's website to unlock the bootloader?

For some reason,
Code:
adb devices
didn't work for me right away.
I skipped that command and just ran
Code:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
and that worked and I was able to continue with the process. Perhaps try that and see what happens.
Drivers must be installed too. This thread helped me:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/unlock-bootloader-lenovo-motorola-moto-t3581133
Another thing that didn't work for me:
USB Dev settings must be disabled in order to mount USB File Transfer Mode (MTP). After updating to latest version, it seems that has been fixed so I don't have to do that anymore.

Bricked Verizon VS995 in Fastboot loop

Hi,
I’ve got an older Verizon LG V20 that’s been bricked. I hid it in a drawer for the past year or so, and stumbled across it again. If I can get this fixed, I’d love to update it and give it as a gift to an older friend who has a 6 yr old crap android phone. But first, some history…
-bought used in great shape and rooted with Dirty Santa to run on TMobile. I don't recall which ROM I used, but it was very stock minus the carrier apps. My wife had a chance to go to Italy, so we bought a 3rd party european SIM with 30 days of data and voice from Three UK. Short story is that the phone never recognized the SIM, but she used it to take some great pics during her stay.
-once back in the US, I decided to try a different ROM and I think I flashed the wrong files or something… it’s my fault but I honestly can’t recall if I loaded a Samsung image instead, or what exactly happened.
Currently, the phone boots ONLY into fastboot mode. ADB does not recognize the device, and I’m thinking that I’ve lost TWRP Recovery since I can’t enter Recovery Mode at all.
If I do hold Vol Down + Power, I get a Hard Reset menu, but nothing in there helps.
I tried using LGUP, but the device is "not recognized."
I’m at a loss as to what to do at this point. If there IS a way to un-brick this, I think it would make a great phone for a good friend.
If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love any ideas that you may have. I tried looking to see if any other threads cover this, but I’m not seeing anything with specifics or pointers to How-Tos. If I missed the relevant links, I’d appreciate being pointed to them.
Also…
-if I can return to Stock condition, I can then unlock the bootloader and flash a more current ROM again. Would I need to pick a new radio so it better matches TMobile vs the Verizon setup it originally came with?
thanks for reading!

When I run fastboot in Terminal, I get a blank response-- that is, a simple carraige return with no info listed.
This is on a fresh Win10 install with the latest Platform Tools package (Justt adb & fastboot) from the Android Studio website.
Are there other drivers that I need? When I installed LGUP, I did install the LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.1.1.exe installer as well.

Win 7 update
Ok, I've installed WIN7, Android Platform Tools (just ADB & Fastboot), LG drivers and LGUP.
Now when I do the fastboot command, I get a true response:
fastboot devices
VS995aa11a111 fastboot (where a=letters, 1=numbers)
YAY!
So at this point, if I load a TWRP.zip, would I be able to boot into Recovery, instead of fastboot mode?
I checked the official TWRP website, and the latest is TWRP 3.2.3-0.
EDIT: I looked in the LG Section, and it appears that there is not an official TWRP for the LG V20. Is that right?
Having gotten to the point where the laptop recognizes the phone, I really don't want to make a dumb mistake :silly:
thanks for getting me this far!

Thank you cnjax... I think I got it now:
recovery-twrp-vs995-2018-10-18
Now that I have the TWRP Installer, I connect the phone (in perma-fastboot mode), and verify that it is connected by using fastboot devices. I get a recognition string in reply. So now I move on...
-rename recovery-twrp-vs995-2018-10-18.img as TWRP.img
-move TWRP.img to my platform-tools folder
-issue flashing command fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
Here's what I get:
Sending 'recovery' (25984 KB)
OKAY [ 0.889s]
Writing 'recovery'
FAILED (REMOTE: 'unknown command'}
Finished. Total time: 1.092s
I'm pretty sure I have the syntax correct, and the TWRP.img file is being recognized, but -something- isn't working.
Have I missed something here?

Hi
I'm just a noob but I am interested in the problem you are having and am following it to see what comes up with it.
There is a good fastboot thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277112
On the first page you have options to wipe before flashing - i.e. system, boot, data, RECOVERY etc,
Maybe give those pages a read while waiting for someone more knowledgeable to fix your phone...
Since you are not sure what happened maybe the modem was affected which I think is bad...
I think doing a "fastboot getvar all" might give you a status of what you are dealing with .... since it gives you versions
of things...
Anyhow, good luck reviving the phone - "rooting" for you haha!

secondhand2,
THX for the links! Those were very helpful!
No need to call yourself a noob... I think I outrank you in that department at this point!
I did try your suggestion of fastboot getvar all, and found something interesting...
when I did the command it returned (bootloader) unlocked:no
which I thought was WEIRD, since the phone -was- unlocked with a custom ROM before I messed things up.
I have attached a screenshot to this msg with the full info report.
So now I'm wondering if that's why my previous attempt at flashing TWRP failed?
Does this mean I have a soft-brick or a hard-bricked phone at this point?
I"m learning more through everyone's help and input, but I'm still lost as to where to go from here.
Hi,
I have a US996 and I unlocked it using the lg web site - they send a bin file that you can use to unlock the phone.
There are different exploits on different versions of V20 phones. THere are also versions of Nougat that have an anti rollback that stop you from going from a recent OTA update back to an older one that can be exploited to get root. For example, on the US996 I have., if I had bought it and it had been patched with 10p (not 100% sure which version was the cutoff point) even if the phone was unlocked, I might not be able to get root. So the versions of the ROMs/firmware are imnportant. As it happened I had the 10f version so rooting was possible - but I followed the threads on this site for my specific phone and stuck to STOCK rom's.
So I'm not sure about what ROM you have - i..e which version of the vs995 is rootable after you unlock the phone. And the unlocking method to use - I'm not familiar with dirty santa or lafsploit (might not have spelled that correctly). There is a tool called LGUP and a good thread on that below that I was reading but it is long read which is good for learning.
I can only point you to some threads - but unlocking is the next hurdle.
You might also want to use the latest TWRP and Magisk if you do get to root the phone. I used PHOENIX591's TWRP
- there is a good thread on that. https://forum.xda-developers.com/v2...-t3720239/post78529520?nocache=1#post78529520
Sorry I can't help you more with this - you do need to get the phone unlocked first. Some of these things are very device specific
I'm still keeping an interested eye on this...

It is a bit difficult to read everything n get a clear picture sometimes. I'm hoping you would clarify something
If TWRP is not installed and the phone is unlocked but not rooted which method could be used to install oreo 20f?
Would you be forced to install 10f (nougat) to root and install twrp first before moving on to oreo?
In this scenario I assumed nougat was on the phone originally and it seems the phone is locked from the fastboot info given...but let's say it gets unlocked
Is there a method to install oreo first instead of starting with nougat and version 10f? If there is that would be awesome
Thank you!

K.. install adb(https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120698566 ). If you had installed moto assistant then you'll have the drivers. If not then google motorola drivers and install them(http://www.motorola.com/getmdmwin ).
Once it's done. Open the folder where adb is installed.
Hold shift and right click>open command promt here.
At this point boot into the bootloader on your phone (fastboot mode).
On cmd type fastboot devices.
If your device is detected then it will show on screen.
If you get to this part.
Start flashing thru fastboot.
Get the files from google( or https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL)
Instructions to flash are in xda.
If you get failed to flash: security version downgrade then you're probably flashing an older firmware. Download the latest.
If you get failed to flash: preflash validation failed then there's not much you can do. Or atleast i don't know a solution to that.

1) Download the 8.1.0_OPS28.85-17-6-2 Indian firmware (it's the last one for the Moto G5+ (potter).
2) Install Mini ADB & Fastboot (best place is the root directory of C:/ or how the partition/hard drive is named where your OS resists), not in program files or another folder.
3) Extract the firmware to that ADB & Fastboot folder.
4) Download my "flashallO.bat" and move it to that folder too.It removes the need for you to manually flash all partitions, just double-click it and it'll run all the commands for you.
5) Download and install Motorola device drivers. The program is called "Motorola Device Manager".
6) Reboot your phone to the bootloader. To do this, turn it off, then hold down the power and volume down buttons until you see a bugdroid undergoing open-heart surgery.
7) Connect the phone to your PC with your USB cable. Type
Code:
fastboot devices
to check if your device is connected. A serial number should be shown.
8) Run the flashallO.bat script. (Caution: This will wipe your device completely!) It will take some time to flash, just be patient and don't worry.
NOTE: If the command window appears for a brief moment then disappears, device drivers may not be installed. Ask again then.
9) Once the command window closes, it should have completed the flashing process and you are safe to press the power key on the phone to start Android. Just make sure that the text near the buttons reads "START".

You're always talking about ADB commands, it's Fastboot that you have to use, it's described above how you get there.
What image do you mean when you say it's not flashing?
The guide is complete, read it carefully.
You have to download a zip file, in your case the Indian (RETIN) variant:
XT1686_POTTER_RETIN_8.1.0_OPS28.85-17-6-2_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
Unpack it to fastboot folder, use the flashallO.bat to flash the firmware.
Please clarify what image you're talking about and if you do the fastboot flash like described above please provide the recovery.log , you can do that in TWRP->advanced->copy log, if TWRP is installed.
Try to flash the firmware and immediately after that grab a log and attach it here.

You don't need logs. Your phone is locked so you cannot flash twrp. Only thing you can do is flash using fastboot commands. Just download the firmware.. extract. Put all of those files in the adb folder and run the flashall.bat or individual commands like fastboot flash recovery recovery.img which ever you feel is easier for you.

That´s what I´ve said. If you would have TWRP you would be able to send a recovery.log but all you want to do is to flash a signed fastboot firmware. That´s possible without TWRP or unlocked bootloader, just by fastboot. Unzip the indian firmware
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmwar...ubsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
into your Mini ADB & Fastboot folder, place the flashallO.bat there too and double-click it, everything in fastboot mode as described before.
What happens when you do that? Are the commands executed in the command window of your Windows PC?
Can you make a screenshot of it? The guide I posted has everything you need in it, you have to tell me what happens when you try to flash the unzipped firmware.
Just to be clear, the firmware and everything has to be on your PC, not your moble device!
i tried to take screen shot of it but was unable to do it but was successful in copying the complete commands log in text file so here it is

Ok, that doesn't look to good.
The whole process is failing right at the start when the device is trying to build the partition table.
Have you tried different USB cables and ports?
Imo there are only two possible solutions:
Your device isn't working with fastboot correctly or its a hardware failure, the eMMC (the internal SD) may be corrupted. As your device is locked and hasn't been modded in any way this is the most plausible scenario also because it crashed out of the blue.
The only thing you can try yet is to use a different ADB and Fastboot tool, this one for example:
Minimal ADB & Fastboot:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10NEzpxKpYWfq-HdK42ctwoEnCg-BfsRQ/view?usp=drivesdk
If all that changing of ports, cables and tools doesn't help you have to bring your device to a service center, they will most probably change the motherboard which isn't a cheap repair so if your device isn't under guarantee anymore you have to consider it it's worth the money.
Good luck!

So i tried with different fastboot software which you provided but i get the same errors .On phone when these commands run i get these messages failed to validate bootloader image and some thing called piv is also not able to be validated.
So i think its the end of my testing journey. Now can you please tell me how much chances are there for software issue. And is there any thing else i could.Any way i got to learn so many things through this but if is there anything left. Or should i go to service center

I think you've done everything that's possible.
The device wasn't rooted, modded, unlocked or something.
It showed the failure out of the blue.
You tried different fastboot tools, cables, ports and the correct firmware.
I asked someone with more knowledge about your log and the whole case and he is thinking the same as I do.
So the chance for a software problem is really small. I told you everything I know, maybe a service center has more options for software checks but as far as I know they use the good old Lenovo Motorola Software Assistant.
So I would recommend to go there and ask (before they do anything) what you have to pay if your eMMC is broken. Here in Germany they always change the whole motherboard, the costs are about the half of the price you paid for the device here.
If your still under guarantee it's a different story.
I'm sorry, I told you everything I know and I flashed my Moto G5+ several times.
My opinion is that the device has a hardware failure and visiting the service center is the only thing you could do now.
I really would like to give you better news.

Read this thread. You can flash signed Motorola firmware like discribed. If you don't want to lose your data you can try to omit the "erase user data" command. Just delete it out of the flashallO.bat.
