LG Tool: Official Bootloader Unlock with Android 5.1.1 ???

Hi,
today i wrote an news article about how to unlock the LG G4 (H815) with an official LG Tool on my german blog. (Only in german sorry).

But then i read about that the LG Flex 2 got the 5.1.1 update here at xda in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/q-5-1-1-update-t3116107
As you can see there is also the new "Enable OEM unlock" in the developer options. So i think it would be possible that we got this options on the G3 with the update 5.1.1 too.
What do you think?

Hopefully we do, Instead of bumping all the time saves developers alot of time and maybe LG will support AOSP like sony?
When you read the LG web page it fills you in on the procedure - your phone must be listed there in order for it all to work. So far only G4 Int'l is listed. I would't be hitting refresh until it changes - my feeling is that the OEMs and Cell Providers have a lot of "old" stock to move out first.
i don't think [emoji19]

[Q] LG V20 Newbie Needs Help!

Hello Good evening guys,
I just sold my Nexus 6 and looking at LG V20. I usually customize and flash ROMs. I am looking at two different LG V20 models.
1) South Korean F800
2) Unlocked USA models (VS995, US996, H918)
3) Any European model? (Do they have great ROM support?)
I want to make sure that phone is able to unlock bootloader, root, and have great custom ROM support. Which model is best suitable for me?
Thank you and sorry for creating a new thread. I searched info but couldn't find much details.
I believe a big factor is the patch level... right now mine is on 10R which I believe is un-rootable.

H918 would be the best bet. Just patch lvl is what will kill you. Need anything below 10P
Sent from my LG V20 using XDA Labs
Is downgrade possible on F800L April 2017 patch with F800L10y build?

LG G600/L/S/K to LG G6 International conversion

What kind of LG G6 variant is closest to LG G600L/S/K. Im going to try to flash different KDZ. I Already done it with some LG devices like G Pro 2 and G flex 2. Successfully converted korean to international version. without any problems. So im thinking what G6 hardware is similar to G600?

need rom for my phone lg k20 lg-m255 kdz

hello please help me to find the best rom for my smartphone lg k20 lg-m255 in the phone its installed at&t version i need version global or standar
i m waiting
The K20 M255 has some particular designs that make it difficult to unlock bootloader and install a working version of TWRP built specifically for the device.
You can run some searches for M255 on XDA but you won't find much on this forum as there is more development for the T-Mobile / Metro (TP260 / MP260) variants than ATT.
Sorry about that.

Flashing Stylo 5 Firmware Onto Stylo 4 Factory Unlocked, Possible?

I realize his isn't exactly the correct forum, but I honestly couldn't find anywhere else that was even close to post in.
At face value, this question likely looks stupid, however, if you read my post you will find it might have merit.
I'm interested in knowing if its possible to flash a Stylo 5 firmware onto a Stylo 4 that is factory unlocked. The big difference, for those that are unaware, between most carrier type Stylo 4's and the factory unlocked Stylo 4 is that the factory unlocked version has specs that are identical to the Stylo 5. RAM, processor, flash, they are all the same. There isn't a single obvious difference. Now, my main problem is, I don't know if there are any under the hood differences, such as a different LCD brand, different cellular modem brand or type, etc... As you all likely know, if I did a forced flash, and these things were different, it is probably brick city, or at least a phone that is practically non-functional.
This is where I need the community help. I lack the skills necessary to rip apart the Stylo 5 firmware and determine how compatible it is with the factory unlocked Stylo 4. Also, if it is compatible, but there are differences in the underlying hardware, if the pieces from the Stylo 4 firmware could be grafted onto the Stylo 5 firmware, or a selective flash could be done using the Stylo 5 firmware so it doesn't overwrite the partitions that need to be retained for the Stylo 4 to function.
Any insight is appreciated. If anyone here needs anything in particular (links to files that can be dissected, etc...) to help make these determinations, let me know, I'll do the leg work in tracking them down.
Link to stylo 5 firmware, ideally with a firmware for the 4 as well
Don't have experience with LG and their phones but I have experience with Samsung firmware, I'll do some looking for the tools to actually flash an LG. Already doing this for a friend to see if it is root able even if it isn't a persistent one, any links would be appreciated for that too
