Kindle 7 9th edition Google Play Store keeps signing me out of the Device after some - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" General

I successfully installed Google Play store on my Kindle 7 9th edition tablet and Signed in. But after a certain time the device will sign me off my account and won't let me sign back in . Why does this keep happening?

I had to opt for a web pirated version but Im unable to buy in game sub or update/buy via google play (cause of my location which is stupid) but if ur on c7 id try a custom build prop and just get the HD edition off google play (if you can pay for apps from your location)

15 Free Amazon Apps - via DroidDog

New Kindle FIRE HD7 is for my son but figured I'd share in case anyone wasn't already aware, worth checking out.

Google Play vs Amazon Appstore
Thank you for the information, we will pass it on to our Kindle customers.
It would be an interesting A>B to see how Amazon App Store competes with Google Play. Is Amazon trying to be a little more competitive?
This would be nice since Amazon truly has a great product.
no longer
This deal was supposed to go till the 31st. I just checked and the apps are back up to full price. However Let's Break Stuff (game) is free today.

bbanghyung,
Bummer. Maybe Google Play Store offers more for free? I have this installed
on our Kindle and find Google Play to be very aggressive. Lot's of free
games.
Yeah, I'm loving google play.

Wired Magazine APK Request

I recently purchased a Nexus 7, which I understand to have the same resolution as a Kindle Fire HD 8.9". I used to be able to run the Wired APK from the Amazon app store, but the old version of the APK that I have force closes on my Nexus 7. Would someone be willing to download the Wired app from the Amazon App Store on to their Fire HD (I don't believe the specific size model matters), and upload or email me the APK so I can sideload it?
I can't download the app directly since I have a different device, and the app is only listed as compatible with Kindle Fire and Nook HD models.
Thanks in advance!
up! i need it too, thank you
Nobody?? On a rooted Kindle Fire, this would have to take, what... all of five minutes? Maybe ten?
We aren't the first to ask for this, there are a lot of people out there who would really appreciate having the APK to at least give a shot!

Fire TV Stick Launch Thread

Since the Fire TV Stick will begin arriving soon, I figured it would be a good idea to get a launch thread going to consolidate the initial discussion.
The Fire TV Source Code Page shows two possible software versions:
54.1.0.1_user_101016220 - Download URL
54.1.0.0_user_100211520

I got my confirmation email this morning. Mine arrives 11/19, tomorrow.
They’re shipping out of Arizona, in case anyone was curious. Seems UPS is delivering them, which sucks since UPS doesn't have a good tracking system.
Pretty stoked to check it out. Hope my Note 3 is capable of casting to it.

geez they sure are keeping the remote app under lock and key.. i mean if your getting it tomorrow.. wheres the app? lol
searched high and low, says to download from google play or amazon.. not there yet.
Version 1.0.4.00 is what it will be according to the software page.
I'll bet the app won't launch until the 19th. Seems logical, but it is weird that they don't even have it available the day before.
Sneaky amazon!

Fire TV source code page just got updated to include the Fire TV Stick source code. There are at least two versions of the Fire TV Stick OS:
54.1.0.0_user_100211520
and
54.1.0.1_user_101016220
For those who get one tomorrow, let us know if blocking the Fire TV update domains also blocks the Fire TV Stick update. Or better yet, set up Wireshark and get the update file URL.
I ordered mine on the Oct 27th at 1:50PM CST. My ship date shows Tuesday, December 9, 2014. I could have sworn that when I ordered it, it had a ship date of 11/19. So bummed
Fire TV Remote App is now available on the Google Play Store.
Currently it only works with the Fire TV Stick. Support for the Fire TV is coming 11/26 according to a note in the app's description.
Subscribed. Based in the source code, can anyone tell if the functionality is the same as the Fire TV?
Ordered Oct 27th. Estimated arrival Dec 19th :crying:
I guess I lucked out with the Oct. 27th order. All I know is it placed it early that morning.
It's delivery day today.

UPS? or USPS (US Postal Service)?
UPS has a great tracking system. Sign up for UPS Choice (free), and you get notified as soon as a label prints for delivery to your address, and tracking updates.
USPS on the other hand, has a questionable tracking system, and sometimes hands off to "Laser Ship" who adds a delay getting status and tracking info.
On a side note, mine was ordered Oct 28 @ 9:25am Eastern, and Amazon's order status shows Delivery estimate: Wednesday, December 24, 2014 by 8pm :crying:
EDIT 11/22/14: even more bummed. Walking through Best Buy last night, they have a big display of them sitting right there. (regular price of course).
Just got mine, hooked up, updated.
Ordered on the 27th, pretty early in the day. Delivered via UPS.
It's working pretty well, and digging through the settings it has an option to enable ADB over wifi, right there in the menu.
Sideloading XBMC/KODI to it right now.
Edit: After sideloading, the only way to launch an app is through the settings menu. Any ideas on how someone would get it to show in the main apps list?

I have a full size FireTV and followed the XBMC/Kodi Wiki to do it... Cannot post the link as I have not posted much here before.. Google AFTV llama XBMC and go to the Kodo link.
What are your initial observations with XBMC? and are you using XBMC or SPMC?
Mine doesn't get delivered until tommorow :/

The FiredTV Launcher is an excellent alternative launcher for non rooted Fire TV devices. It can be customized to show sideloaded apps on the home screen with access to Amazon content as well.

I'm not sure on XDA's stance on linking free APKs. Since it's kind of a gray area of piracy, I'll just say that you should look in the comments here: http://www.aftvnews.com/amazon-fire-tv-remote-app-for-android-released/

Anxiously awaiting ability to root HDX!

Having received this Amazon Fire HDX (EDIT: HD 10) (5th Gen) as a gift, I was excited. But now seeing what Amazon did to android, it's horrid. I am eagerly waiting for news of rooting this to turn it into a pure android device.
If you were to visit my office, this HDX is currently being used as a doorstop, HA!

I would have guessed he meant HD10, as X=10, but everybody on the internet including Amazon refers to these as Fire HDX devices.

Yes, indeed. The box says it is an HDX; however, the Device Options clearly indicate "Fire HD 10 (5th Generation)." - my bad.

That doesn't seem to work on the hd8 at least, as hobbit19 posted in the dev thread. I get the same "FAILED (remote: unknown command)" error when attempting to run the fastboot oem command to unlock the kernel.
RootJunky Amazon-Fire-5th-Gen-SuperTool not working for me
I attempted the script by RootJunky, linked in the thread mentioned by sd_shadow, but it does not work for me. My HD 10 is even only 5.0.1 (per /system/build.prop).
