I heard that we can unlock bootloader of Nokia Phone's by disassembling the phone and shorting some pins. Anybody knows how?
Because already my phone is in disassembled condition?

Bricking is when your phone compleetly dies forever... either because they got a big virous or something on their phone, or they tried to overclock it too much or something. anyway, you can't use your phone and the screen is just black and turned off.
Unbricking is taking your phone (which is bricked) and fix it so it works. hope that helps a little.

I don´t understand. It is software error, but I dont´t know if in the service thy will only reflash, or change rom chip, or whole motherboard.
So now I can´t go to the bootloader untill I get the battery off

Hi there can anybody please help me to unbrick my jasjar i was trying to do a win 6.5 update using the device software utillity for jasjar that i got from here on this site and it came up with some sort of error and now phone is tuck on a blank screen that says serial on to and v.2.01 on bottom any help would be much appreciated.

You want location or pins numbers..if location you want. Just remove back cover then remove rubber plug under sim and left to sd card

I'm on the phone erased bootloader. And I would like to restore it. I have a Medusa JTAG Box, and it supports the Qualcomm MSM7230, but not of the JTAG pinouts.

My phone is also bricked and I would like to flash it with JTAG.
Hey guys i need some advice/help.
I returned my phone because of some screen issues and when it came back i noticed something strange, before returning my phone i already had unlocked my bootloader so i wanted to check if this still was the case. So i booted in to the bootloader screen and noticed the the device status had changed to an engineering device (see picture).
So now the questions what can i do with a engineering device or what does it mean, is my bootloader still unlocked or do i need to unlock it again or will unlocking it again remove the engineering status.

I wouldn't do that. This might change the status from Engineering to Unlocked and he might never be able to change it back to Engineering again.
I think this is a status that is reserved for servicing the phone and allows engineers to do all sorts of things to the phone, even more than what can be done when Unlocked.
I hope some dev can shed some light on this.

No need to unlock it again.. Just flashed a custom recovery with success..

What's the problem? Op said he was able to flash recovery.
Guessing when they were working on it they forgot to relock it for customer status. Someone might pay you good money for that device.

I have some question, in most tutorials say that is highly dangerous try unlock bootloader with 11w29+, but some people unlock with no problem...
So.... is there any experience with 12w24 or some "12wxx" device?
I have keep this phone for years unused and never try to unlock because the serial N°, maybe with years passed someone find another safe way.

Hi, as you've mentioned before, it's highly dangerous to do that, but you also have a low chance to sucessfully unlock it.
Ir you want to try, do it at your own risk.

i have found a xml software and replaced corrupted files within it, it works now!
the only problem, since i have locked bootloader i had to disassemble phone to short pins to enter EDL mode, which is 9008!
