Day light picture quality is good...low light it is really crap.

Nah it ain´t that bad. As Vedu1505 wrote in daylight and good lighting condition the picture quality is really great. The photo app tend to overexpose a little bit and the final pictures are slightly oversharpened. In low light the result are, well...mediocre. The wide angle sensor is good, though it has some focus issues here and there. Macro lens is well...crap.
But you can help it with GCam mod. It works with the main sensor only (no superzoom, no wide angle or macro), but it has good exposition, nice balanced colors, no oversharpening. HDR modes and Night Sight works as well, so the night shots are not that hopeless.
Overall it´s mid-range camera, don´t expect the flagship level quality. Despite being called SuperZoom this is no photo-centric phone.

hello,
Here are my views after using the V30+'s camera for 3 days.
Low Light: Use Manual Mode FFS. Pictures come out way better in manual mode in low light.(I am a noob in using the manual mode and the pictures cane out great once I got a hang of it)
Wide angle camera: Used it way more than expected and the shots are EPIC!!
Primary camera: Used it when trying to get the subject as the main focus while taking shots.
Attaching a low light shot and few wide angle shots.
These are not touched yet and all are in JPEG format.

Hi guys, planning to buy this phone for my mum. Can someone post some sample pictures taken from the back camera? Thank you
I did a video about camera quality , it's in Portuguese my native language but you can have an idea

rating
6/10
Cameras are the most bad part of this phone. It is good only if you have enabled HDR and AI. Also Gcam is fine too
Use Google Camera . This phone supports camera2API. You really see the difference. Although it's a bit slow. But you can really ignore a little sluggishness for a higher quality pic.
A great gift for mom, I think she loves. It’s a good camera, it’s well fixed, but there is the only problem on my part, it really slows down a bit with a sharp movement.
:good:

Photo is sharp, natural, accurate color with white balance a little to warm side (like a nikon cam).
Main camera's colors are great, saturated, the detail is very good and the dynamic range is very good. The only thing that appears is noise - it is almost in every scenario, whether in low light or a very bright environment. There's a fix for that though - using the Google Camera mod for S10+ fixes the problem, and also gives an outstanding look to the taken shots. The ultrawide camera also delivers great colors and dynamic range, though the detail is pretty poor, but that's to be expected, knowing that the sensor is an 8MP one.

Realme has a really good camera but edge detection , exposure and the EIS needs improvement badly ....
I'd say Realme's camera is satisfactory enough for outdoor landscape scenes and food, but when I tried to snap an A4 brochure from around 50cm distance & around 45-55degrees from the paper's face, the text in the resulting photo is smudged and hard to read. That's literally my first photo after unboxing, and it's daytime indoor with very good ceiling & window lights. I haven't tried the same situation after receiving 2 software updates.
Another situation is some product photo session. Daytime indoor with bright enough ceiling light only (no professional lighting setup) and flash turned off. The results are good enough, but too much over-processing. I had to decrease the contrast and saturation half the slider to get the correct color. Also, for some reason white reflective objects (like beads) got really soft edges. Other colors in the same photo have sharp edges.

Need more optimization
Front camera is poor.
While video calling front camera works the worst. The quality is similar to Micromax rear cameras with 16mp sensor , lol.
Rear camera is great but the only problem is the live view on the screen is different(low quality) and when you see the captured image its different(good quality).
photo/video quality is just okay, not great but not too bad and my biggest issue with the camera on rm6 is the focus detection. i believe they can be more optimize to improve the overall quality in term of noise, sharpness, color balance and auto/manual focus detection.
