I have just unrooted my UK g1 back to the TC5-RC7 Firmware.
Can anyone tell me how do I get official T-mobile OTA updates from here?

OTA updates can take a while to reach every single customer, give it a week.

Had your Nexus S 3D maps when you purchased it? If not they must be there now. Can you plz check and let me know?

It only shows one available when your device has been hit with the update.

it doesn't appear i'm able to get 3d maps to work. there's a possibility i'm not doing it right tho..

That's what she said... ;-)
Place two fingers on the screen, drag up or down to change the view. Test it with a city like NYC. The version of Maps with 3D is ver. 5.0.

I was just finishing reading this and I pick the phone to check the emails and bang!
There is was the system update.
1.9Mb file stating Bug fixes and Maps fixes. Must be on the Maps API coz the Google Maps itself is already >5Mb

Why don't you downgrade to 28.0.A.7.24 and life will be good.
If I downgrade, I think there is some sort of counter that tells Sky Go that I have rooted and Sky Go won't work. At least that's what I heard!

Wow.. I don't understand why you have not received 5.1.1 yet.. I have the First Tablet Z and we received 5.1.1 about a month ago...
We however will not get Marshmallow....Oh well 5.1.1 is rock solid...
We go straight to 6. See sony support page for z4 tablet.

No need for root. Just follow the tutorial and choose right firmware for your device and downgrade. And the touchsensitivity is back

OK, going for it!! But, which firmware from the Xperifirm should I use? I have an SGP712. I can see version 7.24 for Israel and Mexico but the suffixes are different. I understand that the language options are universal. Should I use one of these?

Try France or Nordic, those are the version 28.0.A.7.24 ... If they dont work, you can always flash back the original UK .251

My updater just updated, but then offered no update.
So close.
My last Sony, the wifi is crap with 5.02 a lot of lost connections and lost streams.
My wive has my old Z2 tablet with 5.1.1 and wifi works great,
I hope that 6.0 gives improvement if it ever comes.

Yes it's working, but there is no diferent colours for diferent contacts, just green... Quick reply also works :good:

i have the apk saved don't know if that would work? I got the update on 3 week old phone then it stopped fast charging so got it replaced now don't have update

Yes, that's because I'm trying it on nougat...

I haven't tried it yet. I think you've had it for about a day now, how's the battery life?
Hopefully US gets all this stuff rolled up into the 'alexa update' in march because otherwise... its almost like they forgot they released a US version lol.

Have you try update from hicare app.... You have to go first in settings put Asia & then China.... After that go to services and updates

I feel the Phone more responsive, the touch screen more sensitive. Notifications still bugged.
It worked, dowloading...
Huawei's update policy is very strange. I'm in China, using the AL00C00B167 version, but Hi Care and System Update both say I'm using the latest version

I checked in HiCare appa and my location says China, I'm still on B167 and whenever I check for updates it says my phone is up to date.
but - changing to "china" will that not badly affect the language of the phone, or is all that "android" controlled ??
I am currently on LON-L29C432B156
will I benefit from updating through china ??
will I get Nougat 7.1 `???
Also, when I change to China - I receive a message saying: please log in using credentials used for registration in china.
