H870 Stock Rom installation error - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Hi guys!
Having this problem when trying to flash the custom back on my h870. So the story is that when I got the phone it was on android 7, then I’ve flashed msm, havoc and bliss, then flashed the stock android 9 kdz image using LG up, then went back to the custom roms. Now I am trying to go back to the same android 9 stock kdz but this time it doesn’t seem work anymore.
Phone is showing this error in the download mode console:
[msm8996] 633A B50
Modified / E / L / RO / id : 0()
LG uppercut showing this error:
Error: 0x81000302 Please use latest dll
LAF Protocol version is not match...
I can still use adb, fastboot and the custom rom just fine. It is just I can’t flash the stock rom back. Any help appriciated. Many thanks!

You need to find the Dll for LG v40 and the put it in the common folder of LG Up. If you still need help pm me.

Bricked D801 - TOT & KDZ recoveries both failing?

I've got a T-Mobile D801 and tried flashing to the stock lollipop rom D80130b_00 using TWRP and the instructions on this page, but the flash must have failed. I did a full factory reset back to stock 4.4.3 prior to attempting this flash and I'm not sure what (if anything) I did wrong for the flash to fail. I can boot in factory reset mode and select clear everything, but then I just see the android guy with gears turning for 2 seconds and the phone reboots again.
Now I'm in a bootloop where I get an "error: Boot certification verify" above the T-Mobile startup logo followed by a "Demigod Crash Handler: Critical Error!" screen that provides options for rebooting (volume down) or putting the phone into download mode (volume up). After using the volume up the screen displays "Volume Up is pressed: Jump to Dload mode" and after connecting via USB appears in device manager as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM41)". I can't (1) boot directly into download mode or (2) get back into TWRP.
I've tried both the KDZ and TOT methods listed in this thread and neither are working. The LG Flash Tool 2014 / KDZ option starts the LG Mobile Support Tool, but it fails every time once "S/W Upgrade is in progress" reaches 4% with a generic "Upgrade stopped due to an error" message.
The TOT method fails every time with a "Model Information Check FAIL!" message. The full text is - "PID: NULL, IMEI: NULL, Model: , DLL:801, BIN: BIN_LGD801AT-01-V10c-310-260-AUG-13-2013+0.tot , SWV: , SWOV: , Model Information Check FAIL! , 00000000"
I've also tried using srktool to repair fastboot, but it gets stuck at "waiting for device".
What do I try next?
Finally got back into 4.2.2 using tot method. LG Mobile Support Tool doesn't think updates are available though??
same situation lg g2 d802

Yes, I *think* what happened was that my 30b bootstack was flashed successfully via twrp, but then the actual kdz flash of D80130b_00 failed. I had a lot of trouble at this point - needed to fix qhsusb_bulk problems first, then use the more aggressive TOT flash method to reset to stock 4.2.2.
Finally the LG Mobile Tool was still reading it as having D80130b_00 / lollipop after going back to 4.2.2 via TOT (?). Last step was to do a full restore from the LG Mobile Support Tool (options -> upgrade recovery) and it actually downloaded / flashed D80130b_00 so everything is working well now :good:
If it helps anyone I used the LG backup tool to restore apps / media and have to say that for a stock solution it's pretty solid.
qhsusb_bulk?

you said your g2 was detected as a lge androidnet in device manager but not as a qhsusb_bulk...then what problems have you fixed about qhususb_bulk? and what is the more aggressive tot method different from this threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Were you able to find a solution? I'm in the same situation. Please help!

K20 plus kernel panic - not syncing

Though I have some experience with rooting phones and flashing custom rooms, I still consider myself to be no more than a novice in this subject. I have a LG K20 PLUS, metro pcs, and I have it rooted running PBRP recovery and the unofficial lineage 14.1 rom. I have been trying different roms and just recently kernels. I was trying to get kali nethunter working and on here at xda two files that I could flash to install it. I will have to go and look to get the names right but one was something like kali nethunter generic rolling something and the other was a custom kernel to complement it. Both flashed without any errors. When I rebooted, after the LG logo I found myself with a kernel panic error.

If you want to get ram dump,
Please do following action.
1) Dload Mode. Please connect USB.
2) Get ram dump image using QPST Configuration.
Board Info : 6
rev. : 1.0, cx_pvs: 1 mx_pvs: 1
serial : aadd87fc0000000
secure boot : enabled
[ 4.000591 / 01-01 00:00:07.439][3] Kernel panic - not syncing: adsp_loader_do: pil get failed.
Jump to Bload Mode.
I am still able to enter revory mode and through recovery boot to bootloader. I had attempted reflashing the recovery to TWRP, which was successfull, but attempting reflashing kernels (though flashing without errors) has had no effect on the kernel panic issue. I have reflashed roms as well, it seems nothing that I know how to do will fix the problem. Surfing the web for answers... has only shined light on just how little I understand a lot of this stuff. Most information ℹ have been able to find (in a lot of cases I don't even know if it applies to my specific problem) is way beyond my technical ability to comprehend. I hope that someone here can guide me through this panic and help get my K20 plus functional again. :fingers-crossed:
You're gonna need a PC with LG Windows USB drivers, LG UP v1.14, as well as LG Uppercut 1.0 which is a modified version of LG UP, and a stock .kdz image to reflash your phone back to stock. You can find those links on this forums or other LG phones threads. I'm pressed for time so I can't link them all. I've had a similar issue with kernel panic where flashing any ROM or kernel couldn't fix the issue. The only thing I could do was flash a stock image so that the partitions could be overwritten and corrected. You can find the LG stock image here https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-mp260-firmwares/#tab=firmwares I suggest an older variant like 10j or 10v, though I've had success installing 11k and reverting to 10j but I'm not certain if the newer images have any code that makes it more difficult to modify bootloaders or revert to older stock versions. MTP is your ideal image. MTD is a Metro Demo and MTK are FRU (field replaceable unit) images with some capability of having special resizable partitions but that goes beyond my understanding and scope of this post.
There's a chance you'll find Download mode on your phone doesn't stick to more than 20 seconds or so, which isn't enough to flash an image without issues. I found the fix for this was to go into recovery and wipe everything you're allowed to wipe, recovery will caution there is no operating system installed. That's fine. Rebooting to system should lead to a similar warning on boot. Custom Recovery should still work but you won't need it. You'll need to get back to download mode, plug the phone to the computer, and be sure it is recognized by Device Manager along with a COM port number associated to it. LG UPPERCUT should then be able to see the phone model and COM port and launch, it won't launch otherwise. Once LG UP is running, load up the .kdz image and click UPGRADE. As long as your phone is able to remain in Download mode for more than 30 seconds you're good. If it continues to reboot short of that, give it another thorough wipe in custom recovery.
Once you have flashed stock, you can go back to adb or fastboot and reflash a custom recovery and root program as you did initially. Your bootloader should still remain unlocked after flashing stock so there's no need to run fastboot oem unlock commands again.

Need help with returning H870 back to stock

Hi, so I have this LG G6 H870 which is rooted, has TWRP installed but with stock ROM. As I have upgraded to an Xiaomi Mi 8, I wanted to make it as it came out of the factory. I got the .kdz file, LGUP with Uppercut and at first I got an Error: 0x2000 and the progress was always stuck on 4%. Then I tried using LG Bridge to update the software, didn't do it but it did update LG USB drivers (I had it installed, but I guess it was an older version). I tried using LGUP again but now I get „Error: 0x81000302, Please use latest DLL LAF Protocol version is not match DLL = 1154019668 Device = 118497312“. Any suggestions?
Solved it by using LG Bridge and clicking on Update Error Recovery.

LG G6 - TWRP loop

Hello! Sorry for my bad language, but English is not my native language.
I have a LG G6 H870 EU. A year ago I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and a custom rom.
Everything worked, but I bought a newer phone. Now I need LG G6 with original firmware (and stock camera app). I found the stock software on XDA for TWRP. I installed them. The phone booted up properly, Android requested data formatting. When I agreed, my phone got stuck in the TWRP loop.
Now I install various software, custom and stock - only TWRP starts every time. I tried LG UP but at 9% it shows "USB Connection established" error. I've tried various DLLs, but on others the program doesn't start at all. Maybe I have the wrong DLL? I've tried UPPERCUT too.
Please help, thank you.
Hi. I have a similar problem on my LG G6. After selecting reboot from TWRP, the message "No OS Installed!" shows. After reboot I get into TWRP again.
Using LGUP CMD (command line) I was finally able to flash the phone and get it working.

Sorry for the post hijack, just curious. How did you manage to unlock your bootloader a year ago. I thought LG stopped providing the unlock.bin's like, 5 years ago?
