Help installing unbranded Firmware on LTE variant Galaxy S5e unlocked AT&T (SM-T727A)
Hi! Am trying to install an unbranded Firmware on my LTE AT&T variant tablet; I am very rusty with Odin, and some details. Can anyone tell me if I am doing this right?
1- First, I installed Smart Switch for the Samsung drivers.
2- Downloaded a patched version of ODIN as mentioned in this thread or here
3- Downloaded Frija from here, but I am unable to download any firmware with the exception of SM-T727U using CSC XAA like this:

}
I am not sure why, or what I am doing wrong, or if this Firmware is even compatible with my LTE tablet, but SM-T727U seems to be for an unlocked LTE variant maybe.
4- Enabled debigging, put tablet in Download mode, and started ODIN adding the firmware for AP, BL, CP, but I am not sure if I need to use CSC, or HOME_CSC? Which one is the correct one?
If I were to flash this, am I bricking my tablet?
Thanks in advanced for any help!!!

Am not sure yet.
CSC
If you want Odin to wipe all third-party apps, data, and settings and perform a factory reset while installing the firmware, you should add the CSC binary to Odin.

Find Region/CSC Code of Your Samsung Galaxy Device
If your phone is not SIM-locked or carrier-branded, you can install any unbranded firmware that matches your device model regardless of CSC match. However, if your Galaxy device is carrier-branded, you must install a firmware that matches your device’s CSC or it will be bricked.

Should I risk it?

Did you ever get it flashed over?

Hey guys, just found the thread. Anyone know if an unlocked SM-T727A can be OEM unlocked? I mean the bootloader. The option is always missing no matter how many time I try according to the tutorials, which makes me doubt if a branded S5e doesn't even have this capabililty. Perhaps that's why I am here seeking a chance to flash it to an SM-T727U. Thanks for anyone who replies.

[Q] Flashing carrier specific firmware on a non-carrier phone??

Hi,
My Note3 is not specific to any carrier - bought from CPW (uk) without any contract / sim card. It seems to have the 'generic' firmware on it.
1. Does anyone know if I can flash the carrier specific firmware for my carrier on this phone ? my carrier is three UK, and im hoping their firmware will have a more reliable signal for their network than the stock one. I also understand that when Three turn on 4g this december, they will be sending a software upgrade to make it work. Im unsure if this is a sim update, or a firmware update, but it seems unlikely that my phone would get it if its not Three specific if its a firmware update.
2. Can I flash back after this?
3. WIll it burn my Knox fuse?
4. Will it wipe the phone (assuming I flash the zip from SamMobile using KIES) ???
Thanks in advance for any answers
George
No!
In answer to my own questions..
just downloaded and flashed the H3G rom for the UK, and it flashed everything, then failed at the end.
My phone is now in emergency recovery mode, so i grabbed kies, and went through the procedure... except it didnt see the phone..
now trying to re-flash the original using Odin...
The knox fuse has not been blown tho.
Hoping the re-flash to original works...
Only other option I can see is a complete recovery in Kies, but that defo wipes the phone

No, flashing stock doesn't affect KNOX
This method is already being discussed in the main N thread too

Does it wipe my data ? I have RO(MANIA) CSC. Will it work?
Did not worked for me. Still on my Home CSC ... I flashed CSC not home_CSC
It's the same for me. SmartSwitch shows a DBT version although I flashed the CSC from SamFirm.
When I take a look at the CSC on the phone with *#1234# I can see the OXA CSC. I think that's wrong...?
What's wrong? Can u please help me?
Several people from different regions reported this guide and firmware works for them: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/download-galaxy-s7-edge-nougat-ota-update/
I am currently still downloading
If you're coming from DBT, you have to flash TPL/PRT/PLS before BTU!!! After this, it will work...
I am on BTU firmware but is rooted and modified. Can i flash this without loosing data? My status will be official after flashing it without loosing data?
This is my version. Can I get 7?

I usually use updato.com for firmware downloads. There are a few others like sammobile.
You can use search filters to find your device model, android version, region, carrier etc
According to your first screen shot your csc is XEU
Second screen shot - latest firmware - G950FXXS4DCS2 is latest firmware for your device so when searching look for these 2 things and also the date as there may be a more recent version.
Use latest Odin version 3.13.1 + latest Samsung drivers.
https://samsungodin.com/
Then have a look at this thread for a quick guide to flashing firmware.

You should be right as the updates do change there name to reflect date of issue, version no etc. So CRIA is an older version of firmware than DCS2. So the next update will be called something else.
Thanks

S8, download mode shows Knox 0x0 but S-health and other related app say rooted

Hello everybody,
I am totally new so please forgive me if I ask something stupid.
So I got this phone, S8. In Download Mode, it shows Knox is not tripped (0x0) but my S-health and Samsung Pay doesn not work. And I am sitting at android 7 and cannot upgrade.
Pics attached below.
I know nothing about rooting or flashing so a little more details would be super great. Thank you guys.

Go in the recovery what version does it say at the top. Also what model is the device its written on the back next to imei number.
Looks like you are on carrier locked device with locked bootloader and rooted rom.
Your solution is to flash same version of stock firmware.

Hi Vcek,
It is S8, SM-950U. Unlock carrier. Android 7 version, G950USQU2BQK5
So in the end, is it rooted or none-rooted phone? The Knox 0x0 confused me alot.
I did some google and someone says sth about flashing with Odin, and flash all of the options such as Bootloader, AP, CP, CSC and so.
Then my question is,
1. Will flashing with Odin using the firmware I download updato.com (could not download from SamMobile) trip the Knox?
2. By saying stock firmware, do you mean "official" firmware or else? Like I can use a firmware for T-Mobile, android 9 (Pie) or I have to use a T-Mobile, android 7 version?
3. The firmware I got from updato.com is for AP flashing, so for other options like CP, CSC, where can I download the official files?
4. I should not flash bootloader, should I? Since it will trip Knox?
5. Is there any better sites than updato.com and SamMobile? One is so freaking slow and the other is not downloadable.
Thank a lot for helping me!
Hi all,
The problem was solved. I just flashed all of the options with a stock room using Odin.

S10 Plus Snapdragon version not getting OTA updates

Hello guys, i bough my phone samsung S10 Plus with Snapdragon processor, G975U, and it is running android 10, i want to update it to android 11 but it displays my phone is up to date. OTA updates or Smart Switch doesnt work, tried many times. I live in Brazil and here its sold Exynos varian, since i dislike that version, i bought the Snapdragon USA version of S10 Plus, G975U.
The phone displays AT & T carrier when i turn it on, but its full unlocked, im using my carrier here in brazil, without problems. How can i update it safely, i am afraid getting the wrong rom or brick it. My bootloader version is showed bellow.

Thanks for your help. I will install G975UOYN5GUE3 one. Since i want to keep my apps and data i must flash HOME_CSC_*** right. Or it is not recommended and i should flash just the CSC_*** file? Im not sure
For some reason when i set odin up and the files, i get stuck on file analysis. I suspect is the home_csc that is causing it to take longer. I dont want to erase all my data. Yep waited like 10 min and the process did not start, still on file analysis. Using Odin 3.14.1
Finnaly i did it. Have switch versions, odin 3.14 worked for me. 3.14.1 did not, dont know why, but Who cares, now im running android 11 on my device
Congratulations! I don't know/care about CSC stuff, I never added it to the installation list.
I flashed with home_csc so i could keep all my data and apps. Everything went fine. Thanks

U1 is the unlocked variant. You can crossflash any USA Samsung variant, and you will not have any issues - just the carrier bloat and services are slightly different. Keep in mind that inserting a SIM card could change your firmware.
