Screen on time - Motorola Edge Real Life Review

Made adjustments to stune, changed governor and CPU sets. Using LTE/5G. I'm tempted to buy a 865 phone, but the x55 modem seems to kill battery on all the flagships.
Generally I get 8-9hrs per charge with moderate usage.

Seems like the xda app won't upload images sometimes. Might use imgur instead. My above message is missing images ugh.
Anyway now you all can see the endurance beast that is the Edge. Not as good as a Moto power, but this phone is way faster.
App wise I use Snap, Telegram, reddit, bromite, Prime Video/Vudu,/VLC, moon reader, manga reader, notes app, Uber, and so on. Obviously some more than others, but rarely any games. Phone is on 90hz and dark mode.
Only use LTE, and 5G when downloading a large file. 5G uses too much battery

Well, i have the model with 3/32.
Using stock ROM, 2 sim, the first in 2/3/4g and both enabled, using only wifi all day, using YouTube vanced, Twitter, WhatsApp, Chrome, telegram, with screen bright 30% aprox, 7:40-8:10 SOT and using 4g 6:30-7 SOT.
Battery saver not enabled anytime and 2 google accounts using gmail, and 2 more imap syncing every hour and Google Photos syncing.
I get 6+ hours of SOT on my device.
I'm on a custom ROM based on Android 10 and I get a very good SOT on my device!

I know that screen on time varies by user and how you use your phone, but for my usage the SOT has been excellent. When I do a lot of social media (2-3 hours) and YouTube (minimum 3 hours) I can get 7-8 hours on this phone @ 50% brightness (I set my screen to manual brightness). I do a lot of gaming my SOT goes down to 5-6 hours depending on the game I play. I'm pretty happy with the performance and it's a very under rated phone.

Battery life is pretty good, easily lasted me a whole day of usage, web browsing, watching YouTube, gaming and social media.

Getting roughly 8hrs on screen time with 5g on and 90hz screen. I'm sure it could approach 10hrs with a few tweaks. Previous phone was a moto G7 Power and it use to get 12-16hrs OST with a 5000mah battery. So a bit disappointed so far. I'm guessing the 4300mah is a dream rating and I think it's probably more like 4000mah at best.
9 hours YouTube all the way over WiFi
Update: Phone will hit 10hrs OST with 5g and 90hz with these adb lines typed in. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/increase-battery-life.3939843/

Heavy use endurance

Playing Candy Crush for 22 hours straight can take its toll on your battery (and your marriage). Rate this thread to express how the Moto G 5G's battery performs under heavy use. A higher rating indicates that it lasts a long time even when playing games, streaming video and audio, and doing other CPU-intensive activities.

i would consider myself a pretty heavy user most days. Almost always streaming via 5g on 2k resolution(yes i know its only fhd but in my head i convince myself that a 2k feed on a 1080 screen produces better quality), while using gps and bluetooth. I game a couple hours a day, and i also get into benchmark wars with friends after work leading to Antutu and geekbench Olympics.
battery life usually gets me through the day, and over 4 months, the only visible degradation in my experience has been more frequent google branded app crashes(this could also be from me being a beta tester of basically every app thats available to test). I've also noticed an ever so slightly slower app launching speeds.
battery seems as strong as day 1, and the battery health information provided via Accubattery, is showing 4970mah, but take this information with a grain of salt as there's still no 100% consensus on the accuracy of their methodology that everyone can agree on. I feel that as long as ive used accubattery that it's been accurate on all of my phones, which is why i had no problem purchasing pro version, as i think they're the best battery statistics app on the play store. GSAM is supposedly a decent one as well, but i'm familiar with accubattery.
