I miss 2 features from my previous phone, a Xiaomi Mi A3:
- Alway on Display: The Edge has a Peek display, but it is not actually always on, it only turns on when you hold it or you get close to it. I think it is really usefull to check the time and wether or not you have any notifications.
-Hiding the gesture pill: I don't see the point of that pill, and in some apps, specially when in landscape view, it takes a considerable portion of the screen
However I really love the moto actions, to turn on/off the flash light and to quickly access the camera!

The fingerprint sensor being inaccurate is another area I see reviews criticising this phone and another area I beg to differ. It's all in the setup, whereby you need to move your finger around during setup to get maximum coverage. But then the setup instructions tell you that. I've yet to have a read fail.
I'm on 8.1, and the camera is extremely buggy. It firstly refuses to open and requires a reboot, then it freezes. Then it freezes again after taking a picture.
Same problem here but no solution, I hope someone help us
still need a lot of improvement

My software
Bought the phone for my mother (40 yo), it lags so much that it's barely usable. On incoming calls the screen turns black and reveals who's calling after about 5-10 seconds. If I had known that it would be that bad, then I'd rather go for pre-owned OG Google Pixel. Don't buy this phone unless you get an exceptional deal and planning on rooting it to remove all the Googleware.

Samsung's camera app is pretty good. There are lots of features available but it's easy to just point and shoot, and in most cases this gives good results. The 'best shot' feature advises where to point the camera for the best results in the current scene and what angle to use. It is basic but very clear and helpful, especially if you are giving it to someone else to snap a picture for you.
This phone also has the option to turn on the small front screen which lets the subject see a little of what you're seeing. Again, a bit of a gimmick but a nice touch.
I have nothing to add, your comment is ideal, thanks a lot!

Lame software. I liked the V30 app better. I don't like that when I click the preview thumbnail, it has to open a separate app instead of allowing simple viewing and deleting within the camera app. Takes too long to delete images and the sliding row of thumbnails sucks to navigate through...it either skips over photos or goes too slowly.
The overall UX is better than my LG V20, and the speed too, but I definitly went to Smart Launcher 5 again. Easier and faster in every daylife situation use. I usally go back to the LG launcher when I'm on dual screen mode but it's not even mandatory. It's just that the two screens are more looking alike.
EDIT: in fact no I stick to SL5 even in double screen.

Best thing about realme UI on x3 is you can turn ads completely off. And most of the unwanted notifications aren't there. You can uninstall most of the pre-installed apps. Feature I find useful on it include good screen recorder, different navigation gestures, other gestures like screen shot split screen. Phone, contact, message apps used are google one's.
One problem I face is some settings on realme UI are by different names so they are not easy to find.
