Bricked Onn 10.1" Surf Tablet - Walmart Onn Tablets General

Wondering if someone could provide some help with my situation i tried flashing with spflash tools overwrite everything including recovery so cannot boot into fastboot mode. I think the only fix is to use spflash tools again with the proper images and bin files and the scatter file. im having a hard time finding the scatter file for this device i do have some of the files but not sure if they are the proper ones. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

SATV 2015 16Gb APX mode

After i receive the ota to Android 7.0, the camera start freezing when i try to use on Teelybean apps.
I decide to downgrage the shield to Android 6.0. I download the recovery image from Nvidia site, but i do not now there is a another version of shield(2017) and take that recovery image( When i search on google for shield tv recovery image, first link is to Shield 2017 not to all the version of Shield TV released.
I flash that firmware with adb and i don't receive any errors. Everything was whit"OK". I reboot the SATV and after that " No signal" on HDMi port and the green lights stay on.
When i watch on Device manager i find the APX yellow exclamation.
I don't have any backup made from my device(blob.bin, flash.cfg, etc)
I try Ubuntu 16.04, 14.04( virtual and physical machine).
I try to reflash-it with Jetpack.
I manage to retrieve the CPU ID from the shield with a little script that i modified to read la 16 characters. But the real CPUID is not only from 16 , is from more than 16(i think 32)
There is someone that have backup the SATV 2015 and have the backup file(blob.bin, flash.cfg, *.bct file?
I also found that in linux there is tegraflash.py that replace the nvflash command (you can use tegraflas.py to find the real cpu id - the long one)
But i try to flash it from almost 2 weeks and i don't manage to reflash it?
There is someone here that know to do this in recovery mode?

For Nvidia Shield TV 2015 16gb download the one that says:
NVIDIA SHIELD ANDROID TV Recovery OS Image*
The 2017 model never had MM 3.x, just Nougat, only the 2015 models got MM so there is no way to go wrong there.
About you downgrading, you're like 5th person i read that have done it and has hopefully only soft-bricked your device.
If your not able to get into fastboot or bootloader mode (manually) then you have hard bricked your device, so first report if you are able to do so, in case you can then first flash nougat 5.0.2 blob.bin, second the recovery.img and then reboot your device to bootloader again to flash the rest.
Do not mess with the bootloader or you will hard brick your device and never ever flash 2017 OTA or recovery images to your 2015 Shield TV because if you flash incorrect bootloader again you will hard brick your device. If that happens i suggest you send it for RMA as Nvidia have the proper tools to restore it.

I am not able to enter in fastboot mode. I try all the method bot every time it goes in APX mode. I have the recovery image v 2.1 but ther is only a "blob" there not blob.bin.
If i can find somewhere blob.bin file, maybe i can re flash it. The only blob i find is the "natives_blob.bin from Jetpack package.
When i try to flash it with Jetpack, the software manage to mount the 15 GB partition, but at the end I receive an error, something like is not finding the device.
I use this command to flash it manualy: sudo ./tegraflash.py --bct bct.cfg --bl fastboot.bin --odmdata 0x6009C000 --bldtb tegra210-jetson-tx1-p2597-2180-a01-devkit.dtb --applet nvtboot_recovery.bin --chip 0x21 --cfg flash.cfg
The --odmdata 0x6009C000 is for USB 2.0
The --odmdata 0x6209C000 is for USB 3.0,
I can post the log from there. Maybe we will find a solution.

Thank You, first.
I think the pictures can help me to generate the flash.cfg.
On the recovery image i can find only this files:
blob
boot.img
recovery.img
system.img
userdata.img.
tegra210-foster-e-p2530-0930-e02-00.dtb
To flash the satv corectly i need the blob.bin, the bct.bct or bct.cfg and the bootloader.bin
I also find a bootloader.bin on jetpack package but i don't think is good because is for using Ubuntu on the SATV
If you can generate a dump file from your shield and send it to to me i think i can generate all the files that i need to re flash it.
I don't remember exactly the application from the Jetpack l4t but i think is something like this ./mkdump --file ...

Hi any update?

asus ZenPad 10 (P021 z300cg) neither bootloader nor recovery

Hi, after reading of several threads I didn't find any solution for my tablet.
In order to get root for tablet, I made some flashing with bad results.
After poweron or poweron /vol+ nothing is displayed and tablet doesn't answer neither adb nor fastboot (perhaps partitions are corrupted).
in Windows, I installed asus usb drivers and intel usb drivers, but no flashtool connect my tablet (I tried AFT, Intel FT).
In Ubuntu, Intel platform-flash-tool-lite 5.8.4 can connect my tablet, but it can flash only file.xml file but this kind of file are not present in Asus official firmware.zip file.
Any tips about how to face the problem?
May I try to flash some type of twrp/cwm flash file?
May I extract, in some way I don't know, XML flash file fro Asus zip file?
Many other doubts and questions I have, but i think it's better I stop here
Did you figure out how to fix your issue? My Zenpad is doing the same thing.
I can only get no command "dead droid" screen.
Not yet fixed. I'm waiting for some help.
I read a lot of threads of several forums, I tried several flash tool to flash tablet, in windows and ubuntu enviroments.
At moment, the best result is in Ubuntu, with Intel platform flash tool which able to connect to tablet, but it works only with file.xml flash file I don't have/find.
Xfstk tool in windows is able to load bin file I have, but it doesn't connect my tablet even if I have installed the requested drivers.
Hi, I also have Asus Zenpad 10 z300cg p21. It is a slow tablet and I would like to try a custom rom for it, maybe lineageos, AOSP, slim, etc with nano opengapps. Sadly I didn't find any method of doing so. Maybe we can start something here from scratch? Should we start with some pcb pictures? Or reading some tutorials of how to compile twrp for it?

I have question, my Fire tv stick 4k max is bricked, it was unplugged during update and now doesn't give any signal on tv, no logo, nothing, I've tried to plug it into pc with usb and its detected as mtk 65xx preloader. I installed sp flash tool but I don't have scatter file to flash stock firmware. Do you know where I can find scatter file or if there is any other way to flash firmware. I only managed to find firmware in .bin format but cant flash it with sp flash tool.

Right now there's no known way to flash the firmware over the bricked device. You'll need to be unlocked which there is no guide for that due to the encryptions of the system. Only time will tell when we do see an unlock guide which can allow you to flash the firmware.
For any XDA users that have the (kara) device and hasn't updated to the latest firmware. Make sure the firmware (excluding the system components update) that's downloading isn't downloading fast or else it'll be under a diff update which isn't the full update and the command to run is adb logcat as soon as the update is downloading in the checking for updates screen. Report here to post the updated firmware and the URL is different compared to the one listed here.
Copy this and put it in front of the .bin link after the logcat.
Remember to enable adb debugging, adb connect ip/USB adb and allow the connection and type in adb devices. In case the update does download in full type in adb shell pm clear com.amazon.device.software.ota
https://prod.ota-cloudfront.net/
I have two (kara) devices locked on 7.2.5.5/2444 and 7.2.5.5/2465 still and I'm getting the update to the 7.2.8.5 diff instead of the newer 7.6.1.4. Help is appreciated. Thanks again.

Bricked my zenfone 3 (ZE520KL)

hi, i have flash this firmware
ZE520KL_V13_13_1_36_M2_6_7_P7_Factory_raw
fastboot modded but now i can t do anything and my notebook not see my phone can anyone help me? thx
Putting the phone into EDL and using QFIL to load the stock rom is probably your best bet
what is EDL and i never used QFIL there is a guide for this? thx

EDL is basically a state built in to Qualcomm chips that allows it to load firmware to unbrick when it can't load Android. QFIL can be found at https://qfiltool.com/qfil-tool-v2-0-3-5 and a stock rom can be found here https://firmwarefile.com/asus-zenfone-3-z017d-ze520kl. The QFIL tool link has its own instructions link by the download button but in short you'll want to install Qualcomm's QFIL USB drivers, open QFIL's .exe, select the .mbn from the stock rom, and hit download. It'll start flashing.
need deep flash cable for enter in EDL mode?

No, you can use the standard microUSB cable you were using. All you need are the USB drivers (link is in QFIL's tutorial), QFIL itself, and the stock rom for the .mbn file to flash.
EDL mode will automatically be handled by QFIL itself as long as the device is on as shown in the tutorial.
i have install driver but NOTEBOOK not see smartphone in fastboot mode... ( must try the cable? ) and where i find .mbn file for firmware?
The driver from the QFIL tutorial doesn't allow platform tools to see it, it allows QFIL to see it. You need to download QFIL and follow its tutorial. The .mbn file is with the firmware download I also linked.

That firmware only supports fastboot commands with a .bat file.
