Gmail app not syncing/no push notifications - Realme 2 pro Questions & Answers

Push notifications aren't working with the gmail app on android (realme 2 pro). I'm on the latest version of the app (2020.03.15.302138189.release). I get all notifications at once if I reboot the phone or go to sync settings and manually sync gmail.

gmail not syncing on cm

My gmail isn't syncing.
- Notifications are properly enabled
- Sync Gmail is checked in the accounts & sync settings
- If i uncheck and recheck it, my e-mail comes in, but doesn't push again
I'm on CM .5.3. Any help?
mine wasn't either. and i'm on stock. had to press refresh about 4 times to get it to pull up 2 emails.

Not getting any notifications

i'm not getting any notifications of my Gmail nor other e-mail accounts, and Facebook, like push notifications are dead.. how can i fix that problem?
push notifications are enabled in the respective app
=/
also curious as well. All apps are set up correctly, sync is on, and sometimes it seems like FB widget does update, but 99% of the time it does not. Nor does Gmail...

email application inbox issue

hello
i have setup gmail in the standard arc email application (in addition to gmail application).
i have set it up with push mail (using exchange not imap).
whenever i get a new mail, I am getting the push notification on the status bar, but if I open the inbox the new mail is not there. this is the 'at' sign notification (not the gmail application notification which i am also getting). I have to refresh to get the mail. this seems strange to me.
I have disable contact and calendar sync for gmail exchange setup because they are already synchronized by andriod.
why am i not using the gmail application? i like the clean inbox of the native app better. also i will be using a few more mail accounts and want a unified inbox.
this issue seems to have somehow solved itself

making gmail pullinstead of push

I have 4 Gmail accounts tied to my phone. Some are more important than others. How do I make some accounts pull at intervals that I set as oppose to push? Im not seeing this feature in my settings.
To do that, you must use another mail application instead of Gmail app, like the stock e-mail app or k-9, for example.
You can configure the accounts that you want to pull in these apps, and let those accounts you want to push in Gmail app.
disable gmail sync for that account (settings - accounts and sync - select an account), then hit menu - refresh in the gmail app to get new email

Gmail doesn't appear to be linked.

When I receive an e-mail on my Nexus and delete it the same e-mail isn't deleted from Gmail when I access it through my desktop, it also comes up as unread even though i have read and deleted it through the Gmail app on my Nexus.
What mail app are you using? Gmail ? The Stock Mail Client?
Both have sync settings in them.

Using the stock Gmail app. I've checked in the settings and it is all set to sync so not sure what's going on.
When using the other stock e-mail app for my other e-mail accounts they sync fine.
That happens to me in k9 on my phone. I like Gmail better on my n7. Make sure you look in settings under your account and check that manage labels is set to sync the number of days you have it set for. And that sync is set for Gmail in general settings.
