I have almost no issue using especially gsi treble android 10. and enjoy using on razer phone 2 even lack of developer custom rom on this device. like issues in bluetooth audio and call, battere off charging animation, deep sleep mode, with some tweak and modification some file inside gsi rom we can dismissed all this issue, with respected to developer gsi rom.

The phone is excellent. One of the best designs I've ever seen on a phone. However battery life is okay for a power user like myself. Really hoping lineage OS or anything AOSP launches for better battery optimization.
I having it for one week and i love it already... 6.4" would have been nice to have, but it's awesome nevertheless.
At the moment i'm trying to build los15 from source for it, but the proprietary blobs are an issue i haven't figured out yet. If anyone has some pointers how to get them, i'd be three commands closer achieving it.
Happy Hunting.
Xiaomi phones usually have a rich custom ROM community as they are bootloader unlockable and they usually get the kernel and sources released in some months after launch. We already have alpha-ish ports of Mokee, ResurrectionRemix and Lineage for Mix2 and right now the ultrasonic proximity sensor and notification lights are the only major broken features which require some code from the kernel/source.
MIUI 9 - Epic ROM or the EU rom is not a bad first ROM to rock around until development catches up.

Hi,
Sorry, but what you are writing is not perfectly accurate.
All the Custom ROMs (and not the MIUI derivatives like EPIC, Xiaomi.eu, mi-Globe, MultiROM or miuiPro) have a major problem and that is : they are assigning a random MAC Address to the device for Wi-Fi. Whci basically means that, if you're connecting to a secured router that identifies your device with it's MAC address, you won't have permissions to connect to that router...
Another thing that should be mentioned is that, except Mokee, the other customs ROMs also have a major problem : Bluetooth Audio is not working. We're digging into that problem to try to solve it (and it seems it is indeed solved in my latest own build of AquariOS that I will not publish until the MAC address problem isn't solved)... But that is quite a problem.
And mind you, but saying that the proximity sensor is the only thing not working and selling it as a "minor" problem... Well, on a tablet, maybe. But on a phone ? Unless, of course, you like your phone to hang up on your speaking partner because you accidentally pressed a button as the display didn't dim while you were in a conversation.
But I hope those problems will indeed soon be solved thanks to kernel sources being published by Xiaomi.
So far, I am running mi-Globe (7.11.9 at the moment) and it's quite a good ROM... I've hidden MIUI under a custom launcher and installed XPosed and Xposed Edge to be able to configure my fingerprint scanner as a home button (+2 other actions configured for the FP Scanner). Perfectly happy with it so far...

Hi,
Yes, it works.
mi-Globe is MIUI 9 based on 7.9.11 China and 7.1.1 Android.
To use XPosed there's a simple trick. Jus follow these steps :
- 1°) download and install the "Xposed_installer" APK (latest is 3.1.2 I think) ;
- 2°) once it is installed, open it, go to "Settings" and check the "Disable resource hook" box ;
- 3°) reboot your phone to recovery and into recovery install the Xposed API 25 ;
- 4°) reboot your phone... launch XPosed Installer... Ta-Da... There you go
Works with SuperSU and with Magisk (if you take the correct sources for both of course !).
Regards.

I have read that Android P builds will start releasing for treble devices within a month , its not official though , but custom rom devwlopers can start making roms and trble builds based on that rom.
Okay as far i noticed that:
1. bluetooth is bugged and if you keep enabled both wifi and bluetooth, wifi will get disabled and you won't be able to turn it on. To fix that you just need to turn off bluetooth and reboot.
2. Fingerprints are deleted every reboot so using them is pointless. Stay just with PIN.
3. Lagfix is obligatory. You can find it on telegram. Phone without it runs AWFULLY and is just literally unusable.
4. You need to install google play fix, otherwise you won't be able to complete configuration, google apps won't work
5. after installing lagfix it just RUNS AWESOME! Really, oreo roms are just ****, and you can't complain with that. Every oreo rom runs slow when compared to nougat, but that rom is very fast, even faster than nougat.

Audio issues with Oreo and Pie builds

Hi Devs and users,
I wanted to start this thread so that developers and users can see and investigate audio issues on the le_x2 device. Personally, I encountered several audio hiccups and issues since Nougat and audio was never the strongest feature of our device, which is mainly related to the headphone jack removal mostly and the lack of support from the device manufactured (Leeco)
I had several issues especially with the CDLA headphones which never worked correctly in custom ROMs. The headphones with the USB-C adapter worked but there were some hiccups (plugging them with one usb-c orientation etc ...
Recently I started having issues without headphones in phone calls where the caller can hear himself through the noise cancelling mic. The issue was reported and fixed in the LOS device tree but several custom ROMs have this issue. I personally tried to use the files from the commit in AOSP Extended but it didn’t work. Also, from my experience, changing the device firmware (baseband) will impact these issues in some way.
Based on the feedback that will be collected from users, I hope that this thread will contribute into solving these audio related problems for the le_x2 device.

Hi everyone
Same problem and also I seen that battery going down also when charging on and off.
Some fix for these or a rom that works as before this problem?
My problem appears after revenge os
Before with other roms nothing happened
Hi until one I tried an old backup of pure nexus rom nougat and works as before. Then I tried to restore a miui backup with nougat and first time audio and debug problem returns. After that I flashed the same miui from 0 and works well without any app for audio fix.
Now i wiped all and flashed miui 10 Android pie and also works until this moment without issue to fix.

My problems were
-no debugging my pc not recognize leeco only in Fastboot
-No audio during multimedia
-battery going down also during charge and with smartphone off.
I'm worried to try revenge os for not have another one the same problem as described

Hello
I have exactly the same problems.
every pie roms (not tested oreo) have audio problems since revengeos
- No audio and power drain/not charging issue
--> it seems the phone switches to headphone audio though no headphones are connected (eg.: pushing the volume up shows warning message that increasing more might lead to problems...)
--> plugging/unplugging the phone to pc with usb sometimes switches the audio back. --> double check your usb-c cable. Be sure to use the one provided with your phone. I used 2 or 3 other and some did not work correctly with leeco
==> only possible fix for me : with audio routing app (audio route/less audio switch)
- caller hears himself in echo and I cannot hear the caller
--> no solution so far
==> only fix was to go back to eui rom (whith qfil or bootloader flash methods) though I now still have the above problem
Please, what exactly did yo do to resolve both issues in any miui and/or post oreo/pie rom ?
Although could you please share rom links and/or procedures you used to bring sound back ?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Arnaud
Hi I've solved until this moment with miui 10 pie. The first flash successful was restoring pure experience nougat than restoring miui 9 and then miui 10. All restoring was without audio issue.
With magnetic USB adapter I seen that in one direction says headset plugged on other direction charges normally.

Pure nexus is a nougat unofficial rom.
I'm not an expert for the guide. I've tried many experiments until now without successful. Until restoring an old backup through twrp.
---------- Post added at 08:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:03 PM ----------
I've now try unsuccessful treble rom flash follow the guide on xda forum. And restoring miui 10 backup my le max not goes up.
Then I wipe all and restoring pure nexus backup with an error "non hlos" in twrp by cuoco92 after that restart normally in pure nexus. After that I wipe all and restored miui 9 (official twrp 3.2.2 with error to locate fs1 and persist) but normally started. Then wiped all and restored miui10 without error in twrp but device goes in bootloop. At this point in twrp I wiped all flash miui 10 and the wiped cache dalvik and data and restored miui 10 backup successfully.
I have many complaints regarding this echo during calls, i was going to try other Pie roms, but i see i have to go back to EUI.
bluetooth qualcomm aptx codecs not working and audio delay in pubg mobile while using with bluetooth headphones any solution guys?
Anyone can confirm that miui 10 solves audio issue?

GSI roms?

Hello everyone, has someone already tried to flash a GSI ROM on the k20/mi9t?
Yes, I'm running PHH's AOSP 9.0.
Two big issues:
• Popup camera pops at every reboot
- It only popup and retract with commands
- Doesn' work when you use any camera app
• You have to wake up the screen to use the fingerprint
Popup camera is almost fixed, someone with a Redmi K20 Pro is working on it and Phhusson is cleaning the code.

A GSI rom Is a Generic System Image, in other words Is Simply an "Universal rom", you can literally flash It on every device compatible with project treble.
Standard Roms on the other side (like LOS) are made specifically for a single device
I dont know why peoples wants to install GSI ROM, ? half things doesnt work, better to wait for real ROMs for this device, if it will be once.

But axon 7 is not xiaomi, and dont have miui. dont know what firmware your axon come with. But if you use mi9t/k20 to use gsi for now i dont see reason. if on your k20 is chines firmware, unlock bootloader and flash global, or XEU rom. and if your mi9t is with global, unlock bootloader install chines or xeu, or any other miui rom. and wait for other normal custom roms, this gsi have non senses for this kind of phones. there is sense for gsi for devices as huawei as you cant unlock bootloader, so no aosp custom roms, just treble or gsi.

We flash GSI because the really stable custom ROMS will come out at least 2-3 months from now, so unless you can tolerate the MIUI it is the only way to flash and use a quite stable custom ROM since patches for GSIs will arrive very soon for our device

Best Custom Rom for 2020.

There was currently the final update of the Rom Stock Android 10, security patch level as of October 6, 2019.
For a while now I feel that the phone drains the battery too much at times.
I was looking at Lineage OS v.16 as a viable option for my Google Pixel (Sailfish).
You who think of Lineage OS v.16 in this terminal, or if you know a better custom rom ... tell me your experiences.
I'll probably swtich off stock to Lineage OS 16 in 2020

Pixel Dust X (only on sourceforge, no xda post yet)
The most stabble 10 rom with a lot of features (more than evolutionx)
Upgrade to atleast Pixel 2. The pixel 1 chip is just downright horrible as daily phone especially those with daily usage of internet media consumption. It will stutter even scrolling or on the start page of a game like Mobile Legend. Even a snapdragon 625 is better

Anything different after going to Android 9?
Battery improved?
Im thinking to just replace the battery.
It dit not work to downgrade to Android 9. I didn't get Magisk to run. But LineageOS worked and that is Android 9. everything is working fine so far, need some time to check the battery but I know that Android 9 was much better for my battery before I upgraded to Android 10. And I think there are no features which are missing now. New is not always better.
If you want to use Lineage, OpenGapps did not work because of the system partition size, I had to use MindTheGapps. Flashing Magisk was no problem but I don't like the Recovery from Lineage, so I flashed twrp after install.
this one is good too.

I just want to point out that the Pixel I got (new) would NOT stop freezing and stuttering no matter what stock/ custom rom I flashed, and the only sure-fire thing that fixed it was ROOTING and setting the GPU-Min-Frequency -on boot- to ONE step higher than standard [ 214Mhz instead of 133Mhz].
Hope that helps somebody.
I ended up with EX Kernel manager app that fixes my phone 5 seconds after reboot.

Same here, looking for the ROM that is suitable of the obsolete hardware.
Tried Evolution and Dust ROM, I like dust ROM more. However, since none of the custom ROM can be used with bank and payment apps, I switched back to the official ROM.
Android 9.0 update February 2019 seems to be the snappiest firmware I've used. After the update, I switched auto update off in the developer option (need to unlocked/relocked bootloader to downgrade).
Cheers.

Banking apps and GPay definitely work with custom ROMs as long as you're running a custom kernel.

Upgrade to atleast Pixel 2. The pixel 1 chip is just downright horrible as daily phone especially those with daily usage of internet media consumption. It will stutter even scrolling or on the start page of a game like Mobile Legend. Even a snapdragon 625 is better

Blissrom maybe?
Hey everybody,
I'm finally thinking of switching off the stock ROM
Since it's been ages since we've had Google support
But what I want in a ROM are the following:
1 Stable battery life
2 Good interface
3 still being updated
4 auto updates
5 fairly customizable
