My new Pixel 4 can't active the Google Fi outside the US. The support team ask me to active while in US only.
Some guy in market ask pay for the activation outside US.
so, I confused for the activation outside of US now. What is the problem for Google Fi service?
Any friends can share some guide for activation Fi service outside US ?

Google FI is a US service that works internationally. However Google does requires activation while in the US since it is a US service plan.

Please help for getting a sim unlock code for wing

Hi all! Two weeks ago i bought a sim locked t-mobile wing from usa to russia. I was unpleasant surprised that there is no free and simple solutions for unlock this model. My question: people who have a t-mo account help me please) Could u call 611 and ask code for me? Or it is possible only for a first owner? . Thanks)
1. Dont put ur imei here. This is a public forum, so everyone @ internet can see it
2. Contact jockw2001... He can help u for a small fee
hi. im new here and i just got a t-mobile wing for doing some work. does this jockw2001 have a wesite to unlock the phone?
just call tmobile your self. i recently bought an att tilt off ebay that was locked and att gave me the code for free. when i was useing my wing tmobile gave me the unlock code for free too.
dont you have to be a subscriber for t-mobile to get one? im an at&t user and i dont want to wait 90 days to be able to do it.
T-Mobile USA provides the unlock code for free if
you are in a service agreement
you have a T-Mobile USA prepaid card and uploaded at least $10.00 during the past 3 months
You sure still can try to get the unlock code from them by contacting them via email at www.t-mobile.com
Other than that, I doubt that you can reach T-Mobile USA Customer Care from outside the US.
It sure will work if you know a US citizen with a T-Mobile plan or prepaid card. He then can contact T-Mobile for you and request a SIM UNLOCK CODE by providing them with the device IMEI.
well if thats all i need to do, then i will find someone that has t-mobile. i live in the US so im not worried about not being able to contact t-mobile customer service. thank you for all of your help. you guys are awesome!
is Mr . jockw2001 Reliable ?
so i can send him money ?

[Q] Verizon Xoom 3G outside US?

Hello everyone,
Some days ago I purchased a 3G capable Xoom from a US seller through eBay. I live in Athens, Greece. The eBay ad specifically said that the device was unlocked but apparently it is not; it requires activation from Verizon to use the mobile broadband plan. I tried activating it with my local 3G card and, although I am getting 3G bars, it will not activate (obviously!).
I tried flashing the device with Tiamat's 2.2 ROM but it did nothing about the activation part. Is there a way to bypass the activation or any way at all to use 3G with this device? After paying a huge monetary sum for import duties I cannot simply ship it back and ask for a refund. I am royally scr€#%d if it does not work, I bought this tablet for its 3G capabilities and it is useless to me without it.
Thank you in advance!

Anyone got google wallet working in the UK

Hello all has anyone got google wallet working yet or dose anyone know how to change the device ID and network code so we are able to get this working ?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
General Disclaimer, I don't own an S4, and reside stateside, nor do I work for Google or any telco.
At the moment it doesn't look like non-American based accounts would be able to use Google Wallet. Even here in the States, not all NFC equipped devices can use Google Wallet because of Corporate decision made by three of the major four US Cellular Carriers (AT&T,a GSM carrier. T-Mobile, another GSM carrier and Verizon, a CDMA carrier), with the sole carrier officially supporting Google Wallet being Sprint (a Telco using CDMA).
One of possible problems right now may deal with the differing financial regulations that covers EuroZone in comparison to the US.
Sorry its not the most optimistic answer

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Project Fi in Peru

I did a search and didn't find a similar post, if there is one I apologize. I am a developer novice, and might not use the correct terminology or leave some things out. If this is the case, please correct me and ask me to add and I will gladly respond.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge from Verizon:
Model: SM-G935V
Baseband version: G935VVRU4API3
Hardware Version: REV0.7
Android Version: 6.0.1
States that it is a Global Unlocked phone, but I have my doubts (probably SIM unlocked but not bootloader unlocked)
I have a SIM card and service through Verizon that works fine, and I just ordered Project Fi's SIM and service. I activated the Project Fi SIM and service on the LG Nexus 5X from the Project Fi site. When the Project Fi SIM was inserted into the S7 Edge, the cellular voice calls and SMS worked, but the MMS and data service did not. I found a tutorial for adding an APN to make it work and it does.
The questions that I have are,
1) Looking at gsmarena.com almost all of the same bands on the Nexus 5X are on the S7E. Is there a way to see if Verizon has any bands blocked to keep me from switching carriers and if so, how do I find and unblock the ones that are?
2) I am planning on a trip to Peru in a couple months for a few weeks and want to use my S7E with Fi, so that I do not have to pay the international rates Verizon wants to charge. (According to two Reddit users and the Project Fi website, Project Fi does work in Peru). Is there anything I need to check and/or do before going to ensure it works?
I thank any answers in advance.

Holy **** that's awesome!
I'm not an expert but I was just in the Bahamas and had a Nexus 6 on Project Fi. It seamlessly switched to HSPA+ when we came into service range. If it says it'll work in Peru, then you should be fine. Just to be safe though, you should probably bring both phones in case the S7 Edge doesn't end up working for whatever reason.

I do plan on bringing both. The goal would be to find a way to make it work BEFORE going. That way I can sell the Nexus 5X. It is BRAND new and Ive only installed 2 apps on it. Since Google sold it at a discount price for signing up to Fi, i could sell it at no loss (deal for whoever buys it from me) and then drop Verizon and use my project Fi on it here, Peru, and anywherw else in my travels.
Maybe I'll upgrade to a Pixel and then not worry about it ?

Verizon Samsung 8 on Google Fi?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 on Verizon. Its paid off so I will be asking them to unlock it.
My wife has a Pixel phone and Google Fi ... can I order another Google Fi SIM and use it on my S8?
I read a reddit post saying the S8 will work, running only on T-Mobile with a Google FI SIM; not doing T-Mobile <-> Sprint switching.
... is this true?
thx for the help
It will work on just the tmo/att side. But what's the point... Just get TMobile then...
I just called Verizon, they said it will not work on T-Mobile. I'm confused.
Verizon phones are sim unlocked, so any sim card will work. It sounds like they are trying to keep you locked into their network
Lol of course they are going to tell you that! They don't want you going to a competitor
