Hey Reader ! My Nexus 4 is unresponsive from the bottom light to about 2-3 inches up from the screen & I Accidentally put a pin on the phone. I Remember my pin for sure , but I Cannot hit Enter because of the unresponsive area . I Was able to get to the factory settings however I Cannot Confirm the Factory Reset ! Is there any possible way to Reset it by Computer ? I'm trying anything at all costs not o have to buy a new phone when mines is still usable ! PLEASE Help ! All Ideas Are welcome !
Information about which ROM you're using would be helpful. On custom ROMs you have to option to enable 180° rotation; you'd basically use your phone upside down, which should allow you to avoid the unresponsive area. In fact you can turn on all angles rotation and just tilt your phone around to avoid the unresponsive area. This is for custom ROMs, I'm not sure about stock.
If you are however on stock, it is worth to try turning on rotation and just rotate it landscape. If that's successful, you might want to just disable the pin instead of wiping the whole device.

haven't installed any apps recently
woke up this morning to a very strange situation
phone was locked asking for pin code, when entered the screen was covered over with a michael jackson "beat it" video on the top half and audio of the lyric "beat it" was sung over , and the bottom half was my normal android screen but it was not responsive, as if the music video screen was "overlaid" , then it would go back to the lock screen again
tried google to reset pin which seemed to happen but didn't change the lock situation on the phone, pulled battery, etc.... still locking, google was able to get the phone to ring
is this a virus or trojan? strange to me I can't find any mention on the internet of this "beat it" video pin lock phenomenon, as it is the phone is unusable
any ideas? anyone heard or seen this before, I'm at a loss as to what to do or what even happened
If the phone is unusable in its current state, you may have no choice but to go into recovery and perform a factory reset. One of the apps you downloaded in the past and still have on the phone may have had a piece of malware in it.
I bought a Lemfo lem7 smartwatch yday through aliexpress. During settings I switched the screen lock option and now cant unlock the screen doing whatsoever. I have rebooted by pressing the power button to no avail. Can anyone help? How can i do a factory reset as this watch has a single button?

I got mine ordered at Banggood 2 days ago, and tested it's feature's without SIM card so far. Last test was company email configuration using exchange account setup. All worked out fine except the required pin-code unlock to start Andoid (after reboot watch).
After a while i got annoid to use the pincode input, and liked to get rid of the exchange account so i deleted this account in my LEM7.
But next reboot, i still got this pin code input screen but without onscreen keyboard !!
So the same question as topic starter, how to restore - do a factory reset with only one physical button ?
Or using the supplied smartwatch-dock with USB connection at Windows computer.
What procedure ? Software ? How to obtain factory ROM not having any backup ?
Next i will send Banggood.com service request.

I guess you have to hold the power button in booting process. So long pressing power button for 10 second to reset watch and then during booting again long pressing power button. I guess then you will see new boot menu where will be HARD RESET option. This process is more or less same for all Android devices

And how would this fix a device what does not start Andriod before entering 4 numbers at the same device what does not shows a keyboard to enter these numbers ?
No, neither a solution.
Meanwhile i've returned my LEM7 to supplier Banggood, got my money including shipping costs refund. And have bought a THOR4 smartwatch instead. But i would not try to enable the security setting to input a pincode anymore neither at my current THOR4 device.
Another thing, experience of the passed weeks having a 'cheap' smartwatch with all it's features including 4G , most apps running on a small and round display and very tiny onscreen keyboard are hard to use. Or not even to install when required to tap at YES / NO the yes or no is not visible on the screen neither full round or squared display setting.
Using a 2 (micro) sim card of my provider, can only use one device (watch or smartphone) at the same time. Have to set one in airplane mode to use the other as a phone .
And have you ever entered a password at onscreen keyboard on 1.34" round display ? not easy done for shure i can say !
Do consider the smartwath as a nice gadget, practically spoken prefer to use smartphone or larger display sizes .

Finally succeeded. Couldn't do it from my pc but the Lemfo still had bluetooth on. I paired it with my smartphone, connected and I was able to erase all. Now the tedious reinstalling except the suspect app, whuich had been ok until the latest update. You had the right solution, thanks
I have LEM11 and my my kids forgot smart watch’s passcode and currentry I can’t login.How can I do factory hard reset?
my s7 edge had strange freezing when i tried to open an app , the screen suddenly turned green and had graphical issues.
but after 1 day the colors returned to normal state , but there 2 things , first the phone takes too long to start AND freeze for about 3 mins at the samsung galaxy logo
after it starts the touch is Not responding in any way , i even made hard factory reset but it just the same thing ..How i can fix this issue ? is it hardware or software issue (note that the physical buttons works ok , its just the touch that is not responding ) the phone is out of warranty it expired , im asking if i may be able to fix it ? appreciate any help

I bought a Galaxy Tab E on the cheap (legally). I don't know the owner nor will I, but FWIW I can at least prove legal ownership of the tablet. Problem is that I wiped it via the bootloader and now am faced with FRP doing its thing.
Some tutorials involved turning on voice mode by holding down two fingers, then drawing an L on the screen to invoke assistive mode settings, and a few other steps after that to be able to browse to google and continue through circumventing FRP. Drawing the L does nothing, so I'm kinda at a loss.
Is there some way to reliably bypass FRP if the draw-an-L trick doesn't work?
