Speakerphone (loudness, clarity) - OPPO Find X2 Pro Real Life Review

Proper etiquette aside (hint: don't use speakerphone while doing your "business" in a public bathroom), rate this thread to express how you think the OPPO Find X2 Pro's speakerphone performs. A higher rating indicates that you love it: it's loud and it's clear.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I have to say the speakers are not as good as my old Samsung note 9.
The Samsung is tuned by AKG (Samsung owned) and as such have more mids and bass sound, use to be rubbish before AKG the them.
I also found the speakers were not balanced on the oppo, the ear piece speaker is weaker than the bottom one. Could be my mine but I tested it using the oppo service app then diagnose fault.
It passed, but sound was weaker.

I share the same sentiments... I have been an avid Samsung Galaxy/Note series until recently as that series has been pretty stale so i experimented on the Huawei P30 Pro and now the Find X2 Pro.
The speaker on the P30 while mono is way louder than on the X2 Pro. While i appreciate that the speakers are stereo i feel that it needs a little more boost...

If you enable developer mode and in there is a setting for "Enable Absolute Volume" activate it and reboot the phone.
This has increased my loudness level on Bluetooth and the speakers.
Thanks

I had many phones over the years so I can compare. This one sounds good enough. Clear, good stereo separation for movies and games, no distorsions even at loudest volume. Id say on pair with other flagships but not as good as the best, Huawei mate20x 4G and Asus Rog Phone 2 which I also own.

EVO 4G Speaker

Has anyone else noticed the speaker on the EVO is freakin' brilliant? When I am listening to podcasts or playing games it's amazing. I mean, it's no 5.1, but it's like it's got a tiny subwoofer in there or something!
In fact, when I listen to podcasts before bed I have both my Nexus One and EVO docked there, but I have switched over to the EVO exclusively for podcasts. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just hallucinating?
That was one of the first things I noticed. The speaker is fantastic. Almost as good as the touch pro 2. The Nexus speaker is horrible by comparison
Totally agree. That was one of my biggest concerns when I bought it.
The Nexus speaker just flat out sucks! It sounds great, but it's wayyyy to quiet.
My Droid has the loudest speaker of any phone I've ever had and it's wonderful, and I have to say the Evo is easily on par with it. The Evo speaker may be a tiny bit quieter, but it also sounds better at full volume, so it balances out.
I was quite surprised at how good it was. Was setting myself up for a let down after the TP2's excellent dual speakers.

lol I was setting my self up for someone complaining about the speaker. I agree, the speaker is freaking amazing!
I'm not impressed. When driving, even with navigation at max volume, it is still too quiet, IMHO. Of course, it doesn't help that I'm coming from a Nokia with stereo speakers.
Loudest Cell phone speaker I've had so far. I never had a TP2, but it even beats my iPad's speaker hands down.
IMO, the speaker is slight letdown, compared to the TP2. The TP2 had the best speaker for phone conferencing I've ever used.
Just got mine today and I am really impressed with the speaker quality. Volume level isn't even half-way and I can hear it quite well
i agree... TP2 with AudioPara was great!

I think it's a bit unfair to hold it to that standard considering how big the TP2 was.
I guess I'm the minority. Coming from the iPhone, the EVO's speaker sounds blown out. It's loud, but it sounds pretty terrible. Maybe mine is defective?

It's not audiophile grade by a long shot. I believe everyone's praise is coming from a speakerphone perspective. I will still use my shure headphones for music. But when it comes to built in speakers. The Evo is second only to the TP2 IMO.
But yours indeed could be blown out. It wouldn't hurt to compare it to another evo if you have access to another one.

Bluetooth is amazing!!

Specifically the sound quality when streaming music. Wow is all I can say. I stream music to my motorcycle helmet (Chatterbox Xbi2) and have lots of listening experience with my Garmin Zumo GPS and my 3GS iPhoney. I must say that my i9000 kicks both their tales by a huge margin. I fidelity of the sound is fantastic, a tiny bit of base is lost but holy moly the rest is awesome. I'm not sure if it can attributed to BT 3.0 or what but I don't care, I am happy. Good job Samsung.
agree
i used to stream a lot of BT using previous phone, but the BASE on the i9000 is almost intact even after streaming

Yay. Finally something nice to say about sgs. Mind you we are the only phone with bluetooth 3.0 out so far. Nice

Bluetooth streaming in BMW
I have an Iphone 4 and a SGS and except for the stuttering on my radio. (which the iphone 4 doesnt do) the sound is really really good and is MUCH better than iphone 4 streaming quality. I am very pleased with the quality. I believe Froyo will fix it. . Still cant dial out using Bluetooth on SGS
there are tricks to dial out using BT
and it will depend on your headset or the car deck function keys
or voice activation key

Is it then worthwhile to buy a BT headset?
I mean, will the sound quality of a good BT headset, be as good as a wired headset? And wich one?
I have no idea...
I've been an avid fan of Samsung's Yepp line of MP3 players. They have some of the best quality audio output on the market. WAY WAY WAY better than iPod's.
It's not surprising to see their know-how transfer over to their high-end Galaxy line.

I haven't tried a household bluetooth headset but if the quality is the same as my helmet one I would consider it over a corded version if the circumstance required it. I'm interested in trying out a bunch now just to see.

those eq settings would make music sound tinny and horrible. you've cut all lower frequencies and boosted the highs to a ridiculous level.

I don't think that's the case on some devices. I have Nexus S and on my Headset getting the sliders higher to 3.0 from 10-100 range makes my headset do this distort sound. Sounds like it getting shattered, but this setup removes that sound but I can still clearly hear guitar leads fine and clear along with some monster bass.
Even this is good stuff

Low volume while playing to music!

I'm a music guy! I listen to music a lot! I use Beats By Dre Studio headphones... I have MoDaCo based on stock rom installed...
I think that the volume on this phone is just too low! I tried installing this mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012575
and it just sounded terrible!
When I have my headphones plugged in to my pc it's totally loud and clear!
What should I do? any suggestions for me?
I am super sensitive about the quality
I have beats tours and they sound loud and hurt my ears at max. Try the audio mod in the themes and apps section.

After installing Awesome Beats I'm scared to try random mods... do you know any sort of player that may increases the volume?
earphones are always very load because you put them in your ear and headphones are more clear.
Studios sound awesome i don't want to go back to earphones
how about trying these to increase volume? they are what i use.

that fiio headphone amp is tiny (< 2" square), weighs next to nothing and has a clip on it.
I use Sennheiser CX 300 II earbuds and PlayerPro music player and have no problems with low volume. I've also used MP3Gain, a windows app, to level all my music volumes inside the MP3 files themselves. You can set the level as high or low as you like. I've noticed that MP3's from amazon.com typically have the volume set at 99 dB which is much louder than from other sources so I level all my MP3's down to the default 89 dB in MP3Gain.

...chuck away the beats. its going to spoil your ears >_>
the CX300II is a great all rounder. you could also try the Feels Pro.900 (korean company hence the weird name), the Audio Technica CKM500 is not bad as well.
Default sound volume on Nexus 4 is incredibly low. I'd say 50% lower than the HTC One X with beats for example.
The only mod I have found that increases the volume is the Nocturnal mod in the Android Development forum. I am not sure what rom's it's compatible with but I am using AOKP.
While it increases the volume, it's still not enough, and the quality of the music on the Nexus 4, mod or not, is just not good enough.
have you tried this mod? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025486
it works and the speaker is as loud as my droid razr

Galaxy S4 Speaker Loudness

Anyone know if any comparisons or video's showing the loudness of the S4's external speaker? How does it compare to the Note 2 or HTC One?
I'm not talking about raw stats but a video showing something playing on the S4.

Still doesn't play a video or music to show the loudness /quality of the speaker.
Any other video's that do?
Check out the gsmarena review. It actually compares the speaker loudness volume of different phones. They rate gs4 as good, comparable to the one.

I already read that review like I said in my first post would like a video just like there are tons of videos showcasing htc boom sound.
I would love to know the quality of the speaker output. Don't really need it to be any louder, just sound better. For boombox purposes. Thicker phones traditionally have better speakers. The Note and Note 2 have better speakers than the GS2 and GS3. Since the GS4 is only 7.9mm, and there hasn't been any major speaker breakthroughs in...forever, I wonder how it fares quality wise with other phones.
It will be better then my galaxy nexus speakers for sure. Either way I have a small portable Bluetooth speaker that has amazing quality and is louder then I will ever need it to get.
