Outdoor visibility (max brightness) - Realme 6 Pro Real Life Review

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Realme 6 Pro's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

Outdoor visibility is not so good, you'll not see very much under direct sun.

Cant see under the Sun

It's useable you can still see texts or a web search, I wouldn't want to watch a film or something out in the bright sunshine anyway.

Outdoor visibility is no good even if set to max. My OPPO A5 2020 is much better

Just got one today. Brightness is terrible compared to the Moto G4 I've just switched from.

agree

... i think it it was implicit because at some point all of us knew that this phone got an IPS display, you can't compare it vs AMOLED, OLED, SUPER AMOLED, ETC.
Agree, it's disappointed.

have they checked whether the power saver for the screen is active? This prevents the screen from shining at full strength even at maximum brightness

Average. Definitely wish it was brighter on sunny days.
Read a review where nits where tested. Advanced contrast setting boosted it by almost 60. Definitely better now but still not iPhone territory.
I'm actually quite pleased with the sunlight legibility. I find it better than an LG G6... Not in the rank of a Galaxy series which I had before LG, but still okay.
I hold it next to an iPhone 8, and the brightness was definitely better on the Mix 2S.
is fine.. i used phone without problem during sunny days near sea without any additional settings... best visibility on smartphone compared to all phones used by me

outdoors display has improved alot compared to other Honor devices.
But is it easily viewable in harsh sun? This is an essential point for me
It depend of screen manufacturer. My friend's honor 10 is ok. Myne is unviewable under sun.. I'm disapointed
it's far from great, it's OK, but for sure I've seen much brighter displays
No good visibility with outdoor light. Almost can't see the screen when using it as a GPS in my car.
Lot worse with EMUI10?
I have the feeling the phone has became unusable outdoor when the weather is very sunny. Am I the only one?

Many a reviewers claim that it's screen has poor sunlight legibility. And reviewing a photo taken in bright outdoor condition is difficult, as reported. How's it in real life? Any workaround?
its ok and legible in direct sunlight but the colors will look washed out
Display and buld quantity got hit by cost cutting
I'd give it a 4/5. It's not bad at all but it's not something to write home about either.
I have read that it has many reflections. It is true?
Really interested in this topic
I'm a DJI drone pilot and for me is very important the brightness outdoors
Good visibility

I am using it from past 1 month. Under direct sunlight it's look like little bit dull. But it is not much a considerable problem. I never felt any visibility problem under direct sunlight.
Screen is pretty legible in the brightest sunlight and trust me I know , Mumbai after monsoon has the brightest sunlight.
Dunno why somebody will look for exact reproduction of colours in brightest light , well maybe .01% might and for them I don't think ant display will suffice.

Any tricks for boost brightness ?
Hi, I got yesterday mine. Great device for sure but the readability under the sun is very poor. I am quoting the question.
I think max brightness under direct sunlight is the only weakness this device has. Its not too bad for me because I don't normally have to look at the display in those conditions but I think just 5 to 10% more brightness would be perfect.

Though it has a 1440p Resolution. At maximum brightness we can able to operate phone under Sunlight
Sorry to bump this relatively old thread,
But it doesn't seem to be that bright to me in direct sunlight. I can barely see the screen.
On my old s8+, there was an outdoor mode which actually made me able too see the screen a lot better.
Is there anything else I can use to crank the brightness up a little bit?
Thanks!
gorgeous
screen
This model have a cool resolution even when you outdoor with it
