Unlock Bootloader paid - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! So I got an PRA-LX1 and I need the bootloader unlock code, Chimera Tools doesn't recognize my device (it tells me to click Ok on a popup saying if I allow the computer to have access, that popup looks like it's from android 4.4,I don't get any popup as I am on Android 8 EMUI 8), and USB Debugging is enabled, DC-Unlocker doesn't support my device, and SigmaKey requires a box. Please help me, thanks.

Alternative method to access locked phone w broken screen?

Hi, thanks in advance for helping.
This is the situation.
I want to backup as much as possible items from my phone since it's broken, but:
- The screen is broken
- Device is locked
- USB debugging is DISabled.
I already searched a lot and tried the cmd adb commands to unlock it, but since usb debugging is disabled my device is not found..
I also tried to unlock my device using findmymobile, but somehow it won't unlock it.
I am now able to get Kies to recognize my phone (using recovery mode) and Kies of course noticed my device is locked.
Before I go to the store and buy that OTG cable, I was wondering if there is any way to change the registry of Kies and trick it into thinking my device is not locked. Sorry if this is a really weird question to ask.
OR is there any other way I can unlock my phone from my laptop? I know the pin code, so that is not the problem.
Thanks in advance.

U have to send an email to the huawei to take the code the site doesn't work
Try to connect the phone in the computer, open device manager, search if the phone is detected, if yes right click on the phone and uninstall driver, then unplug and plug again the USB cable.

Phone isnt being recognised by fastboot

I have adb and the needed drivers installed on my Windows PC, my phone is a Huawei P9 Lite and im trying to unlock the bootloader but the phone isnt beening detected when its in the fastboot mode. I have looked on XDA forums and nothing has helped so far. When i enter "fastboot devices" into CMD nothing comes up but when i enter "adb devices" my phone comes up so its not being recognised by fastboot. I put my phone into fastboot mode and tried "fastboot devices" and still nothing came up. I need to flash a ROM on it because the EMUI skin is really bad, could someone give me sugestions for a working ROM (I heard that using Cyanogenmod will remove a lot of features like camera and fingerprint)
I know, it's basic, but ( from XDA Forum )
Now we must activate the OEM Unlock option on your phone, go under Settings/Developer Options and tick the "Enable OEM unlock" option. In the same menu check if USB Debbuging mode is enabled, if not do it !
And for the rom, I don't like EMUI very much but Stock Rom with Nova Launcher give a good result
Double check drivers, setting, USB cable etc (Hisuite installed on PC and phone).
On the phone check if USB Debugging and OEM Unlock is cheeked and if USB debugging authorized is accepted.
If the phone is ok, untuched, is no reason for what you say...

OK I did that now and when im in fastboot mode the "FRP Unlock" text is now red, before it was green. I wrote "fastboot oem unlock CODETHINGHERE" and its still waiting for device. "fastboot devices" still shows nothing.
I'm not sure I did iy by the same way, I've just follow EXACTLY, step by step this how to :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
I did it two times ,the only issu I had was because I forgot OEM unlock.
Read carrefuly the how to from the link, you 'll find what you need
That's most likely because you are on Windows 8.1+. Use the file from this thread - download, remove ".txt" and double-click. Don't worry about the KB update, with 99.99% certainty, you have it installed already. The .reg file will change something in your Windows Registry (no worries, it's safe). Reboot your PC and your phone should be detected by your PC after running fastboot commands Let us know if it helped!
Hey man probably you need to installa manual driver from pc. Connect you phone (in fastboot & and rescue mode) to the PC, than click with right button on Computer ( icon on desktop) and then click on "management" form here try to understand this image: http://prnt.sc/czanve
It's in italian made by me for a friend, I think you can easly understand just look images.
PS. for the moment I think you can find that driver in "kedacom usb device" and not "Android phone" as in picture
Still doesnt work

I recommend to follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...de-root-moto-g4-plus-supersu-android-t3587918
When your device isn't recognized by your pc you need to check if any firewall, antivirus or the driver signature verification prevents your device from being recognized. Also make sure that you reboot your pc after the installation of the Motorola drivers.
Thanks man !! But in thread which you send is not help me untill I unlock my phone.

In folder called mfastboot I click shift+ right click for open command prompt window.at this time my phone is connected with PC in bootloader mode and I installed moto device manager from moto website.
According to step 3( for unlocking bootloader in moto website) I type in command prompt fastboot oem get_unlock_data and press enter but I found this-<waiting for device>.

Type "fastboot devices" when connected to the PC. If it shows your serial number of your phone then ok. If not, problems I mentioned before should be checked at your end.
I enter fastboot devices and again it shown <where my device> ,I reboot PC and also check but again it shown <where my device>.
My friend suggest that Motorola driver not installed properly ,so uninstall it first and install again ,and go to device manager and if yellow mark is shown then definitely driver is not installed ,but he not give any further information about it , because he didn't know. It shows , fastboot Athens 16_mps with yellow mark in device manager .

Have you checked firewall and antivirus to be disabled?
You can also provide the whole console output here to get better overview of your errors :good:
Actually I don't have PC / laptop ,so for unlocking bootloader I was go to my friend' home and use laptop of him and there is disable firewall as you mentioned.
So ,now I am at my home ,so actually I can't show you actual process of laptop ,I was telling you what is happening to me ,if any solution is find then I will go to his house ,and process unlocking bootloader.

Oh, nice to know...
Unless you did not provide an console output its hard to help. Additional you need to make sure that "fastboot devices" displays the serial number, if it doesn't, you need to check firewall, driver signature verification, antivirus etc etc on the PC of your friend.
It's a common problem and the things to check by your end are the same and everything I've seen and read it's cause of the mentioned problems. Maybe your friend has something wrong configured or whatever.

In addition to strongst's helpful replies which I concur with (device signature enforcement on Windows 10 is a common issue, as it may stop you from installing the fastboot driver, and thus your device won't be loaded. Disable driver enforcement if you can and it doesn't void the laptop warranty), are you using the original Motorola USB cable or a high quality USB data cable? Also, try another USB port if you can.
For information, I've attached the Device Manager screenshot of my device, booted into the bootloader, and connected via the original USB cable to a USB 2.0 port. You'll note it's loaded as an Android Device via the Motorola ADB Interface (from the Motorola Device Manager software https://motorola-global-en-roe.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/89881 ). Your device, loaded as fastboot athene_16mp suggests it's a driver issue.
Furthermore, if you want to unlock your bootloader, you'll need a computer to flash TWRP and may be useful having a computer around for troubleshooting/reverting back to stock Motorola firmware.
Just for curiosity sake I hope you changed the connection from charging to file transfer and switched on usb debugging. Cuz otherwise all what is needed already said by others. :/
Whenever I go to my friend's house and use his laptop to unlock my bootloader I will give you screen shot of display which causes problem for me to unlock my bootloader, thanks sir!!!!! And how to know that any anti virus ,firewall and other things you mentioned is stop me to install moto drivers?

Tutorials for disabling driver enforcement can be found through a Google search (e.g. here's a link : https://www.drivethelife.com/window...e-enforcement-on-windows-10-8-7-xp-vista.html ) Of course, ask your friend before attempting this, as this allows you and anyone else to install and run unsigned drivers (including the fastboot drivers).
Okk thanks bro
So it is a safe driver(moto device manager)? Because if my friend ask me !!

Not detected by Mi Unlocker, can't do anything

Possible problems - phone defaults to USB for charging, not for file transfer.
Title. I've followed directions word-for-word. However, starting the device in fast boot & plugging it into the PC will not cause the device to appear. I Mi Unlock also can not detect it.
How am I messing this up? What can I do to fix it? Do I have a bum phone & need to return/replace?
Logged into Mi account
Mi account sync on
Find my device on
Developer options enabled
Enable USB debugging enabled
OEM unlocking enabled
SIM card in, wifi off, mobile date on
Mi Unlock status activated
All of the above done
Initiate fastboot
Start Mi Unlocker & sign in
Plug fastbooted phone in
Phone not detected by Mi Unlock
Not appearing in Windows Explorer
Use CMD to search for devices, none found
CMD -> adb devices returns nothing
i've a similar problem, for me the problem was the usb 3.0 port, with a fresh start of win10 i can see the phone connected in fastboot mode, when i open mi unlock the phone disappear and after is impossible to be recognized until a restart of win10. The only way for see the phone detected by MI unlocker was to use and usb 2.0 hub connected in the usb 3 port. Use a usb 2.0 port if you've or try with another computer.

I used Windows 7 and it worked perfectly first time. I think (as always) it's a windows problem.

Can I use Windows 7 disk image on a Windows 10 to fix it? I don't have access to any Windows 7 computers ATM.
What worked for me is transferring the folder of mi unlocker to the root of C: and reinstalling adb drivers

In the Mi Unlocker app, in the top right corner there's the settings button, go there and look for the "Install drivers" button. That worked for me.
