After I flashed the October Security Update Firmware, I found that I had the smart capture feature in my settings.
Shumway 66 did it now I have smart capture ... thanks physwizz

Hi guys,
I've been looking on xda and google about getting my MirrorLink function to work in vain.
Let me explain :
- A lot of new cars and accessories have a "screen mirroring" function based en MirrorLink. I have a 208 Peugeot with SMEG+ using this MirrorLink technology. The principle is easy, you plug it on USB port of your car and you can use your phone on the screen of your car.
- it seems that some galaxy devices have build-in MirrorLink function (Note 4, S5, S6 for e.g)

Also if its possible to add a manual update.zip just to give MirrorLink support :highfive:

We barelly evem have Nougat for the J5. Oreo won't cone for J5 anytine soon. Just hope for the future..
yes i can port oreo
even you can do it; its fairly simple
go to the store and buy some oreos
get one oreo and open it up into 2 pieces
remove the cream so you have 2 biscuits
stick the each biscuit on each side of your j5 with glue
now dip your j5 in milk for extra taste
eat it
poop it our
NOW U GOT OREO

Sir, There Are nearly 10+ roms for j5....
i have a j500f....
i think that it can handle oreo,,,,
and why not give us the chance to feel the Android 8.0 OREO
We will be glad if we had any,,,,

The thing is that we don't know if Oreo CAN be created for our device. We all want it, I know, but the bugs in Nougat have to be fixed before we do anything with Oreo.

Well As Far as i know the nougt is a pretty useful now,
and the bugs can be said minor ones,
so i request you to bring it in our devises as fast as you can sir......

I need help to root Samsung galaxy j5 2017 (j530F) on android 9.0 Pie. My phone is broken and I don't see what is on the screen because need a root on this phone. Is it possible to display the recovery image on a computer or TV because I can't see anything at all.

i think there is one chance: use a touch-monitor with USB-c input - you can try to get this monitor running with your device.
With my S9 this works without any problems...
But i am not sure, that this will work without any configuration on the phone (which is not possible for you...)

Well there may be another chance too, if he takes off the back panel and knows someone with another j5 2017, he could take the display connector and apply it to the other j5 2017.
Can anyone share stable rom details if there are any for the S8 Exynos model? Mine is running on Android 9 now.

For Android 12 I can really recommend Pixel Experience or Lineage OS, but if you want One UI Hades Rom Q ist you best (and basically only) Option

On Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 there is no sound when on a call, when turning the speaker on, the sound goes and does not come again. HTML please fix this error, A310F phone calls do not work in Turkish
It didn't work in the stock phone app either, then I tried it on google phone, it doesn't sound, nor does it go away.
