Serious problems with the speaker
I've been using the Moto G Stylus for about one week now and I've been having problems with the speaker. The problem occured a couple times when watching Youtube Videos and I believe that the phone was in Battery Saving mode every time it happened. This sound problem is serious, the youtube videos basically became unwatchable. The sound was maybe comparable to when you are using headphones, but they are not completely plugged in. The problem went away when I actually used headphones.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could it be that I have a broken device?

When I first received the phone I thought the speaker audio was off. I did mess around with the Moto Audio app settings & think that caused my problem. I set the Moto Audio to "Smart Audio" and the speaker audio seemed fine afterwards. May not fix the issue you're experiencing but it's easy to try.

Smart Audio was set by default.
Yes, you can use custom mode to make it fits your taste

Tested speakerphone, real nice and loud. Caller couldn't hear herself at all though she speaks fairly quiet.
Speakerphone has been excellent on the Razer Phone. People often tell me that they didn't know they were on speakerphone. I just wish with these fantastic speakers that I could turn the volume up about 20% higher than it allows. Sometimes you are talking to people that are using cheap bluetooth headphones that happen to have a microphone on it. These calls are where I need to turn off the speakerphone and put the phone physically to my ear because it's not loud enough.

Try Volume+ Free. It's the only app I could find that boosts in-call volume, and it does it quite well.
Love the speakers... better than my Moto X Pure Edition

Speakerphone during a call is barely audible, some kind of bug because it's super loud for music
Yup. Speaker volume while on a call is barely audible. Hope this is addressed via a future software update

My hubby can barely hear me on calls. I hear him loud and clear from his Nokia 6.1 though... The speaker does suck on this device also. I recently bought this phone and I'm wondering if this issue is fixable
I was having the speakerphone problems on my 7.1. Some other posts on the Nokia site forms clued me in to turn off Wifi calling and VoLTE and it seems to have fixed the speakerphone issues. pretty loud now. sometimes, after a long time talking, it might fade out but that might just be the call just being lost (not sure which side's fault). so it sucks to have to turn off those nice features but it's workable.

Exceptional sound quality!
Anyone else has their sounds completely disabled while working and can only be fixed by restarting the phone?
Hi,
I just installed the global rom miui_VIOLETINGlobal_V10.2.8.0.PFHINXM_997265e49a_9.0.zip on my brand new RN7PRO china 6/128. No problem for the installation but, I found out that only the right speaker is working under all condition. I tried with MP3, Games, youtube, and other audio files.
Now, I don't know if depend on the rom installed or is a device that is expecting to work like this.
Anyone can tell me if both or only one speaker is working??

Only speaker installed on the phone is on the right bottom side
haha poor guy tried all sorts of stuff to get a speaker onto the left where there is none. I felt the speaker loudness was alright, my oneplus 6 sounds louder and better, not comparing but just saying
Balanced audio
Not too much but still loud enough

Well.. it's dual speaker, the bottom speaker is loud and clear but, the top speaker isn't that loud. So, it doesn't really give stereo experience

Have you changed the speaker settings with the wizard? Give that a go! I've seen a reviewer change his, and after the change, he liked the way it sounded.

Exactly, i increased all those pointers in custom Equalizer. Omg...now its more louder and the outdoor sound is much more louder. Loving it more
How does this "tweak" compare to the ROG Phone II's supposed amazing front facing speakers?
Hey guys, I was wondering if that stereo speaker setup(?) really has a good effect for listening to music compared to a front facing stereo speaker setup like the Axon 7?

I love the sound quality.
But I personally think that Music is to loud using Dolby Smart Audio (The Reason being, the lack of controll over the fixed volume)
I've had this problem since i got this phone, the amplified earpiece speaker keeps ocilating in volume in busier parts of songs, my problem is not volume related and doesn't happen with normal youtube videos where there is no music, I've tried disabling dolby áudio, I've rooted my phone countless times, I've fully reseted my phone 5 times already, and it still happens, i just want to know if other moto g8 plus or g8 power users have this same issue
Sorry, No. In fact the sound is very good : and that matters to me.
I have a question about the stereo speakers, can someone explain me why is the earpiece speaker much weaker than the speaker near the charging port.
