Thread cleaned. Please play nicely

It's not:

I don't see how they can auto-generate a message like that by mistake though.

I've got Android O on Mate 9 - Screenshots and Q&A

New version out now. See new thread

Good stuff mate!
Question: what happens if you hide the navigation bar? I mean, how did they replace Back - Home - Recent buttons?
Aaand: is there a dark theme built-in by chance?
Thanks!

When you hide the navigation bar, you slide up from the bottom to get it back when you need it.
As for themes, here's what is there by default

Yeah. It shows as 7.0 -- all of the specs show up wrong. This is true with prerelease builds on other Huawei phones as well.
Anyway, if you're not convinced, here's notification snoozing and picture-in-picture settings.

can you make a screenshot from the available quick tiles, please?

You can't. There is no open beta test. These builds are not intended for the public.

I use to be a "gotta have it now" and would flash pretty much any rom that came along, when I had the Dell Streak 5, and the Galaxy Note (1). Since I got the Mate 2, then the 8, then the 9, I haven't flashed anything but OEM official builds, haven't even bothered to root or screw with it.
For me, my experience with Huawei, their roms have been so stable, I haven't had the urge to jack around with it. I don't mind you guys doing it though, makes it easier for us old timers that don't want to bother with it anymore.

Me too. There really isn't anything else for the Mate if you wanted to flash at least officially or on here. But yeah, I can't really think of anything I want that it doesn't already have. Nothing I could really improve. I thought I was all 100% for the Pixel 2 but now I'm thinking Mate 10!

So you have everything you want and still want to upgrade? Doesn't make sense.

Of course, everything I want but even faster and longer lasting. Less body to screen ratio is always welcome too. Tmobile's new 600 mhz support would also be great.
I would want Wireless charging, then I would upgrade to the Mate 10, if not I will keep my Mate 9.
I would like to get a current Security patch though
@duraaraa
Hi mate,
What is the kernel number, is it still 4.1.18 or it got up to 4.4?
Do you actually feel any real life difference in general at all between Nougat and Oreo?
Do you think that stand up time/drain has improved as to the few wake ups restrictions in Oreo?
Anything significant that you like/hate or is changed?
Thank you for your reporting here!

Mate 10 won't have wireless charging
I also really, really wish it had it.

The kernel version is showing as 3.10.20-20436-468, built on Sep 14. Security patch is September 5. Whether or not it's reported correctly, I don't know.
I'm not really using it as a daily driver, but it does feel a little bit different. Some of it may be because of Android O, some of it may be because of EMUI 6. It seems smoother, but that's so objective.
Drain seems better than before, but I haven't done an actual scientific comparison.
I've not yet found anything major to like or hate.
Some other people are installing this build now, so hopefully they will chime in with their opinions.

Then what's your mate 8 model? I think you'll get the upgrading notification soon.
Some friends told me that the hardware performance of mate 8 is poor for the new system Oreo. So, I have not actually made the upgrading till now.
Which country and operator are you using mate 8? I see your HD call (volte)
Works well with oreo. The battery I think is the strong point

I'm rocking the nxt-l29-c185. At this point I'm not even sure that we will be updated to Oreo. Back in the early days of Oreo I was advised not to update since the Mate 8 is my daily driver. Now I think I will debrand and move to the Chinese models that have oreo.

I was thinking the same thing about the Mate SE since if the 7X were to get updated I would assume the Mate SE would since it actually has more RAM/storage in otherwise the same phone.
As a 7X user, this is wonderful

MIUI13 performance
