QDLOADER 9008 - Bricked/dead mobo? - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hello all!
Well, my friend´s oneplus 5 died when he was charging it, he thought it might be dead, but I decided to disassemble it and try to fix it. After battery was disconnected, I started to play around as I would do with another android to see if it would get recognized by computer... After while I figured out how to get it work as QDLOADER 9008 (windows update driver) and flashing started. I thought "well, no hw issue if this seems to work" but then, after 300 seconds of "DOWNLOADING CACHE.IMG" I started to worry. Well, after 926s, it stopped with error FIREHOSECHECKRSP FAILED, ERRNO: 258.
I tried almost everything, different cables, drivers reinstall, reconnecting and disconnecting battery, different versions of "cheeseburger", different Msmdownloadtool, fastboot/ADB cannot detect phone (which was expected) and etc. Phone always has green led light up after flashing with msmdownloadtool but nothing else is going on and I cannot get over this error. Phone is clearly hardbricked, but I am starting to believe this might be a dead chip (like memory chip, so it cannot hold/read data from it).
Do you agree guys, or do you have any other idea what to do?
Thank you!

Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 or Secure booting error (No Boot - No Recovery - No Download Mode) or "QHSUSB_BULK"
Hi team, if you have come here I'm sorry you are having this problem! But my friend and I have been to hell and back trying to fix this problem and we wanted to share our method of success for any poor soul who is experiencing the same thing! For our situation the USB was unplugged half way through flashing a KDZ or going back to stock firmware and created the No Boot - No Recovery - No Download Mode problem.
This has only been tested on the D855.. Just so you know.
First off, here are some links which you may need to have a look at if you have not done so already. Most of the bricking problems have already been extensively talked about by people here on XDA. For the method that works, we had to pull information from everywhere and spent a long time looking for the solution.

The problem we encountered several times with all of the described methods above, is that many do not describe important things. While the main fix thread for the Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 mode, which is shown in device manager, is very well written and detailed, the programs which are linked in this thread are questionable and haven't worked for many users with some offering to fix for money. We searched the internet and located a working version of the program which worked without giving a "Device was not found in dload trying to flash programmer" like the one provided on the XDA page. Use the links below for a working version from this thread http://androidforums.com/threads/lg-g2-not-turning-on-help.916865/
My first point is if you are having problems with any of the things, CHANGE YOUR USB CABLE or use the stock cable (I know most experienced users know this). The reason for this problem has something to do with different USB cables being made for different purposes and are of different qualities. Having an error on the USB ports gave us only qhsusb_bulk on windows device manager, without Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 as well.
If you are still having problems, check your USB ports. It is really important to make sure this isn't the problem or you will be trying to fix this problem endlessly.
First attach the USB cable to the computer. When you plug your phone in, make sure you attempt to enter download mode by holding the volume up button when you plug the USB into your phone. Even though the phone will not enter "Download Mode" It will allow the phone to be detected by your computer (at which point you can release the buttons, it should then show "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" under ports. If this is not displayed you have a problem with the USB cable or port, or your phone is hard bricked and you need to head to the above guide for the hardware fix. If you have followed so far and are wondering what to do from here, once the "Main Fix" guide ends, head over to the "How to go back to Stock" thread above. Your phone should be showing "firmware upgrade" and you can proceed to flash a new updated KDZ on your device then everything will work and your nightmare should be over!

For all people with Windows 10 an problems with drivers (device is detected by Windows but app is not connecting). Decompress de correct cab for your Windows version, and update the driver "Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008" with the path you used to extract. Now this driver isn't advertising that isn't signed anymore, and all apps will connect with your LG G3

Hi, I have the same problem, except that when I connect the usb, it shows up as "LGE AndroidNetUSB Serial Port". I'm not sure if I should try the Qualcomm route?

I just fixed my Lg g3 with this method. Not sure if it will work with AndroidNetUSB
Would like to help for any difficulties. (e.g. Not able to find TOT file) etc.
Thanks to @Orcam & @kryptonite
This did not work. Here's what I tried:
1. Without battery
2. Changed drivers as @shawe_ewahs says
3. With battery
4. Admin and non-admin
5. Changing COM ports
But, every time, I get:
"Device was not found in dload trying flash programmer
TEST Aborted!!"
My LG G3 D851 is in Qualcomm HS_USB QDLoader 9008 (COM 41) so I know it is in the correct mode! Agh, it is very frustrating. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! <3 I finally was able to fix my device *O*

No problem. Hope it didn't take you as long as it took us to find all the right stuff
I'm having this problem, but when I plug in without a battery all that shows up in device manager is "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I tried to do the hardware fix and was able to force the device to reboot by touching the pins. But all that happens is it disconnects and reconnects from USB without being detected properly.
I should note that when I turn the phone on right now, it stays stuck in the initial LG G3 splash screen. When I plug in without a battery, it shows an empty battery icon with a wire and a triangle question mark.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I think if I can just figure out how to get my machine to detect my phone as the qdloader hs usb 9008 I can figure out the rest.
The boarddiag v3.99 version 1 and 2 dont work, they dont even get ejecuted, not eve trying to execute as administrator.
Just wanted to reply since I resolved my issue. It turned out that, despite the apparent inability to boot into download mode, I discovered that if I booted up the phone with a battery in it and plugged into a windows 7 laptop, and held the button down to enter download mode, it eventually let me into download mode. I really can't explain why this worked, but just wanted to put it out there. It was at least a few minutes before I noticed that the laptop chirped and it was showing the install screen in download mode.
Hope this helps someone out.

Sounds like it may be a problem with windows from what you two have said. Perhaps compatibility mode is the way to go. They did release a pretty major windows 10 update since I posted this guide.

Oppo Find 5 Dead Bricked

Hi,
I have been playing with custom roms installations with my Oppo Find 5 and somehow I got it bricked.
It is so bricked that it is dead.
I charged it for 5-6 hours ... nothing
I connected it to my linux laptop and try to detect it via fastboot and pressing power + vol up ... nothing
I kept power button for 60 seconds ... nothing
I have tried to remove battery but do not know how to disconnect it ...
So, it looks like the phone is completely dead. It used to work fine ...
is there any way to bring it to life?
Did you fix the problem? Where are you from?
Yeah same here, i wiped the wrong partition on LVM. Now it doesn't boot anymore, nothing happens when i try to charge it, its just a brick.
Edit: My PC can detect my phone as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" but all links that i found for unbricking are dead or not helpful.
Edit2: I think that's: http://www.androidjunkies.com/how-to-unbrick-your-oppo-find-5/ is the solution but under my windows 10, the phone keeps rebooting. I will test it under Windows 7 in the next days.
Edit3: I have my Find 5 accidentally dropped from the table during the reprogramming. At the same time the battery connection disconnected and the reprogramming started it. Probably it cant be reprogrammed with a battery so disconnect the battery when you get the same problem.

A1 Completely dead

Hi, I have (or used to) the GSI Android P Rom on my A1, I saw that an update was avalible for it on the official Telegram group so I decided to download and install it, I wiped vendor as it said and flash the zip files, but I forgot to flash the vendor image again, I rebooted and now the screen is completely black, the phone is dead, the led is not making anything aswell, not even blinking, I'm trying to reboot into fastboot or TWRP with the volume keys but doesn't make anything, I tried to connect it to the PC and it recognizes it as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E (COM10).
I don't know what to do, I'm so worried about this, any idea?
Try to flash stock rom via miflash
If it says Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E its not even dead. Lol
What to do next? Stop panicking & use that thing on top of your neck. It'll be fine. (& Use search button in xda, everything is here?)

Hi, what if now the PC recognize it as an unknown device?
Before your reply I tried to use Qualcomm emmc studio to fix it because MiFlash wasn't recognizing it, Qualcomm did, so I tried to flash the stock ROM but it gave me an error (something about couldn't found ram), I disconected it and it appeared as an unkown device, now not even Qualcomm can recognize the phone, help
Use edl method and you should be good

YT-X703F shows up as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E, any hope?

Was working well before it was dropped in hottub!
It was initially completely unresponsive, did not seem to charge and was not detected by my pc. This was about a month ago. Yesterday I plugged it in to my pc and the led flashed and I got a usb connected sound. It showed up as QHUSB_BULK.
I left it on a charger all night and today updated the driver and now it shows up as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E and the led stays on (can't seem to turn it off). I've been trying all sorts of stuff found on google without success. Been looking at the QFIL method but have no idea where they get the suggested xml files (haven't found them in the stock firmware).
Anyone think there is hope of reviving it?

Question - OP 8pro crashdump mode revival failed.

So my beloved OP8pro abruptly threw the Qualcomm Crashdump mode error... reached out to the one plus guys, they said the phone was not connecting to their software and will probably needs a new Mother board or ask me to find someone who does chip level repairs. Googled yesterday and found that many have revived their phones using MsmDownload tool.
So downloaded the required files and followed the instructions carefully. The phone was connected successfully and the process was pretty straight forward and finally the Download completed message came in green. As per the instruction the phone was supposed to reboot automatically but in my case the phone was dead, it is not even throwing the error like earlier when trying to switch on or none of the key combinations were working to get any kind of response from the phone..
Any way out of this? ...Plz advice guys.
Try to redo the MSM procedure again. Also you can try holding the Vol Up and Power for a minute.
Thanks @davidd..... It is not connecting still. Tried that also but still no luck..
I tried every key combinations to get some kind of response from the phone, but all seems to fail on me. Is there any other way to get it to respond?
Abruptly throwing Crashdump is a sign of motherboard error. I guess flashing via MSM just kill it faster.
I had some hours ago a non starting device. the only thing the mobile did was when i pressed vol up+down + on/off for some more seconds it vibrated shortly but nothing else.
so i tried again the MSM method but did not now how i should enter to EDL mode without display. First Windows loaded the mobile all the time with HS-USB Diagnostics 903E driver. So this was definitely wrong. After trying all possible button combinations and then plug the USB cable, i tried connect FIRST USB Cable to PC and bricked/dead OP8P THEN press vol up+down for some more seconds. If u have a look in your device manager while you do this, you may also have luck and the correct driver HS-USB QDLoader 9008 is loaded and the MSM tool can connect.
Good luck!
