TMO S7 Edge Root/Roms?

Wondering if there's root and Rom options for the T-Mobile S7 Edge. Had to surrender my Note7 so I picked up this bad boy. Great device but I'd like to root and flash something a little lighter and faster. Any response is greatly appreciated!

I would check the tmo forums, just a guess though
I did and only one listed in all of the carrier forums/threads which I find really odd.

can we load ATT build onto TMO variant?

I bought LG G6 from tmobile and got it unlocked. realized that VoLTE & VoWiFi will not work and also having issues getting SMS. wondering if we can load ATT build/firmware onto H872 (TMO variant)
Probably not a good idea since we don't have root and the hardware is different.

I believe the modem/radio is slightly different as the Tmobile version does not support all "bands" of the ATT network. Past that a more experienced member will have to give you better details.

my understanding is that once phone is unlocked, all the bands should be opened as well as the HW itself supports all NA carrier bands.
Have you set the correct apn?

They all will work however you must purchase either the unlocked US model or the TMO handset to get LTE band 71. The international Snapdragon and Exynos models won't have band 71. IMHO, that is not a dealbreaker as both will work on TMO just fine.
I live in the USA, am on ATT and I purchase all of my Samsung phones from CLOVE in the UK. They have an online store, provide great service and are very helpful if you ever need support. https://www.clove.co.uk/smartphones/samsung Good Luck.

if you literally type that into google youll get 100s of responses im sure..
as an xda moderator i suggest you just pay it off and request unlock through the carrier like its supposed to be done. If you cant for some odd reason then a quick google search should turn up plenty results.

If it is like when I went from Sprint to T-mobile with my S8+, I used ODIN to load the T-mobile version of the software instead of Sprint. Imagine both Verizon and T-mobile use the same exact phone, but different software versions. Verizon is CDMA and T-mobile is GSM so unless the phone has both, it wouldn't work - but in your case it should work

I didn't have to do anything when I loaded the tmobile version, it was part of the build.
