[Request] Radio FM (no data) for Galaxy A3 - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Themes, Apps, and

Hello,
Since i've moved to Lineage 16, i lost the Radio FM application using the FM chipset (no data used)
I'm not able to find something on the Play Store, any idea ?
Model:SM-A320FL
Thanks

I have with LinageOS 17 still the same issue, no FM Radio.
I was trying to extract the HybridRadio application and its belonging libraries from this ROM [ROM][A320X] H-ROM A7 PORT V6.0 [10.0][OneUI 2.0][64 bits][Treble] but without success to get it working.
I installed following files in the "/system" path:
Code:
/---system
+---etc
| /---permissions
| privapp-permissions-com.sec.android.app.fm.xml
+---lib
| libfmradio_jni.so
|
+---lib64
| libfmradio_jni.so
|
/---priv-app
/---HybridRadio
HybridRadio.apk
After rebooting, the FM Radio App was available but did directly crash when opening.
I have looked into the system logs with logcat and found out that HybridRadio has an unresolved reference in "/system/framework/framework.jar" to some Samsung specific settings classes that are not available in the "framework.jar" of LinageOS.
At this point I have to give up because I don't know how to extract the needed classes out of the H-ROM "framework.jar" and furthermore I then still don't know if these classes have further references that I also can't resolve.
I think the easiest way to solve this problem is to decompile the "HybridRadio.apk" application and remove the references to the H-ROM "framework.jar". But also here I don't have any experience.
Maybe someone else got the FM Radio working or has the knowlegde how to solve the port of the FM Radio application from the H-ROM?
I could provide the files mentioned above if that helps.

First your kernel must support FM radio drivers!
Then you can build same this project:
GitHub - mikereidis/spirit2_free: Spirit2 Free : Open Source Real FM Radio for Android 4.1-5.0+
Spirit2 Free : Open Source Real FM Radio for Android 4.1-5.0+ - GitHub - mikereidis/spirit2_free: Spirit2 Free : Open Source Real FM Radio for Android 4.1-5.0+
github.com
or other "spirit FM" radios

My understanding is that "Spirit FM" supports mostly only Qualcomm chipsets. The A3 2017 has an Exynos chip with integrated FM support. So I think "Spirit FM" application will never work with the A3. "Spirit FM" is also not supported anymore for newer devicces.
I hoped that the extracted "libfmradio_jni.so" was the kernel library and that HybridRadio has everthing available to work.
So the queston is what else has to be extracted from the H-ROM to get the FM Radio working.

Support for Bluetooth 4.0 (low energy)

Hi,
does Defy+ support Bluetooth 4.0 so called "low energy". By info from TI
the used module WiLink 6.0 (WL1271)
Supports latest Bluetooth low-energy (Bluetooth 4.0) and Bluetooth 3.0 specifications

But when i tried
Code:
hcitool lescan
I got error
Code:
set scan parameter failed: I/O Error
.
Is there missing support in kernel or WL1271 firmware?
Thanks for answer.
Netolish
Any update on this one?
bump - Any update on this?
I also want to get a bluetooth 4.0 device working.
I have a heart rate sensor H6 from polar and want to read it with my mb526.
i tried to move the android.hardware.bluetooth_le.xml into /system/etc/permissions and changed the permissions of the file
Code:
according to that site hxxp://ruidacosta.com/2014/01/06/bluetooth-le-with-cm11-on-razr-m/)
sorry for the censored link but im not allowed to post links
with the new bigger system partition this almost works^^
So a programm, ble checker says my device is ble supported however i can´t find nor connect to the heart rate sensor.
With a Galaxy S4mini the sensor works fine.
I m still on reading into that topic and im not sure how far the 2.6 kernel is problem or maybe the bluez version, since bluetooth smart is relativly new protocol.

[MT6582][Lenovo A328] FM Radio Fix for DeletedDevTeam's CyanogenMod 12.1

Sorry if I posted in the wrong section! I'm a newbie though...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys! It's me Jovic77 and here's a fix on the FM Radio on Lenovo A328 running CyanogenMod 12.1. :victory:
I know that MTKRoms had released a stable and bugless version of CyanogenMod 12.1, and has so many bug fixes. But, I had a little problem with the port. (TWRP 2.8.7 shows binary execution error. Can anyone help? I'm running TWRP 2.8.7.0, Material)
I've since running a higher version of CyanogenMod 12.1 (1/1/16) from DeletedDevTeam . But, FM Radio is not present on this ROM. So here's my solution to it.
The files inside are from the MTKRoms' version of CM 12.1 (that has an FM Radio). This will enable FM Radio capability with the DeletedDevTeam's CM 12.1. Also, the zip installer is based from Cyanogen's C-Apps installer (no worries, I've cleaned the update script, and deleted "delete" commands. )
Features:
+ Basic FM Radio Functions
+ Nice Material Layout

Click to collapse
Bugs:
+ Volume can't be changed (and it's so high)
+ There must be a workaround to make FM Radio work.
Click to collapse
To make FM work:
1. Open a music app (the default one even works) then play any music.2. Open the FM Radio app.3. Enjoy! 4. To make it on speaker, go to home, then set volume. Done!
Download:
tinyurl.com/A328-FMRadio (Copy then paste link)
Flash the file via TWRP.
Flash on your own risk. For MT6582 devices only!
Enjoy listening!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:
This is my last work with DeletedDevTeam's CM 12.1. I've installed the bugless one perfectly (just an update-script workaround).
So thanks for your support with this app!

Is this helpful?
Don't just say "thanks", click and give it!

Many thanks.
Is it possible, to use the headset button to change to the next predefined channel (like Huawei-Radio-App)?
Unfortunately, if I press the button, Google Search is starting, but thats not good, if I drive a motorcycle and must switch to the next channel, if the signal is weak.
Nice work! As you're making Xposed modules, I don't suppose you'd fancy making one for the Notifications cover for the EPD, to change the background image from the moon & clouds to an image of the user's choosing?

j7y17lte Resurrection Remix OS 6.2.1 8.1.0_r50 FM radio

please request j730f (j7y17lte) FM radio sub Resurrection Remix OS 6.2.1 8.1.0 parque whenever i install spirit fm i have an error message tells me that the kernel of my phone does not support fm radio

Why you need to open a new topic for that?
You have RR topic for something like this.

very easy and simple

How to chose between many flavors of Android?

I was hoping to use my Samsung A40 to create a phone with very specific capabilities and I have no idea how to chose appropriate ROM for me. Basically what I want:
MUST HAVE:
ROM has to have decent security record
No GApps or Samsung software
Functional Signal and OsmAnd
Support for memory card
Wifi connectivity support
GPS and compass support
OPTIONAL, HIGHLY APPRECIATED:
4G Mobile data
Dual SIM
Calculator, Alarm, Flashlight
Back camera support
Audio reproduction (OGG, MP3)
E-mail client
Radio support
OPTIONAL, BONUS:
Bluetooth support for car interconnection (hands-free calling, listening to MP3s)
Front camera support
Internet browser, preferably Firefox
Mobile data sharing via hotspot
Cloud storage support
I know my list may sound like its written in 2005, but phone has special purpose. I am absolute outsider to the whole ROM scene asking for information in a hurry and don't know if the list will be covered by essentially any ROM or am I asking impossible. If you know any ROM covering this list, please share its name.
Maybe CrDroid (vanilla version : no gapps) is a good choice for you.
