Unofficial MIUI Complete Bugs List

Hi,
MIUI Rom has always been a great ROM for many Android Devices, I was so excited about installing it into my GSII, but after a while I discovered that the ROM is loaded with many bugs that nobody cares to FIX! I posed This thread In the Official forum of MIUI but what I got is more replies of Bug Reports from other Users, So I decided to post it here maybe someone will care and help develop the theme better, The last version I used was 1.11.11 Three months Old by now, But I checked the changelog of every singl weekly release and it's always the same routine Mi-one Only, Status bar Bug... bla bla bla.
Here is the Complete Bugs List (Report any bug that isn't in this list):
1. Call Recording doesn't work!, when you set the setting to auto-record then return after the call to the recording list, all files are muted! No sound are in the files, useless files
2. [Headphones Only] Volume buttons get the sound to its highest level ( Which is lower than stock Rom and many custom ROMs ) after 4 clicks ( about 25% of the bar ) after that clicking volume up just fills the volume bar without actual sound volume increase in your ears !
3. Battery Drains
4. Feedback widget, Updater app, Themes app ( Including 99% of themes in it ) Contain Chinese phrases which I can't understand
5. No Service Issue ( Connection to cellular carrier disconnects and you need to restart the phone to get signal bars and receive calls/sms ) ( TERRIBLE BUG )
6. Camera takes photos sooooooooooo slowly
7. Notifications Bar doesn't show labels under icons ( Quick shortcuts, small version )
8. Arabic isn't Officially implemented, using patches found On XDA-Developers forums can only add read/write support but it's limited and doesn't include Carrier USSD codes ( Like *150# and various Carrier USSD codes ), Please implement system-wide Arabic support
9. In Call Log when you hold on unsaved # it shows you ( View Contact ) !!! it should show ( Add contact ) Directly
10. Messaging app doesn't support sending Blank SMS which is required by some carriers to subscribe to several services ( So Important please support this )
11. Music app gets 1 album art from the internet and pastes it to 90% of songs instead of finding the appropriate album art for each song and save it like lyrics feature
12. Also in Music app it's so hard to jump to a specific time of the song, The time bar and the equalizer are so stick, you need to separate them by moving the time bar to the bottom.
13. Attach the Stock Android Source Theme with the themes app for the people who don't like themeing.
14. WI-FI specific-network proxy work only with the stock browser, it doesn't support using 3rd party browsers like Firefox, nor using Market/Maps/Downloads or any app thar requires internet connection, you need to make Wi-FI networks that work only via a proxy to work system-wide.
15. Microfone Bug Reported and confirmed by Some users Here
16. Sound Via USB/HDMI Bug ( Car Dock ) also reported here
17. Sometimes when headphones are disconnected when Clicking Volume Up the Popping Volume is Labeled "Bluetooth Headset" While there is no BT headphones connected nor BT is even activated!

Whatsapp - Slow Motion video issue

Couldn't find this anywhere else on xda. There's one or two unanswered threads in other forums about the same issue.
Within whatsapp in seems (for me anyway) you cannot send a slow motion video correctly with the Galaxy s4. In my case, normal speed videos work fine (and the trimming and smaller file size feature before you send is excellent) but when you try to send a slow motion video, the recipient gets a solid green screen video with the audio intact.
I wonder is there any work around for this. Probably not on our end.

caller echo problem in cyanogenmod 12.1

complaints from caller that they hear echo during calls in samsung galaxy s4 GT-I9500...please fix this issue in new update
I have cyanogemmod 12.1-20151104-nightly rom.
NO echo is heard when i call using internet calling apps like whatsapp or messenger.

Just another thread in top of google search list with no solution, but advice to go look somewhere else. Still didn't find the fix after searching for days. Nothing to see here, move along.
Moto G 2013, CyanogenMod 13

This worked for my Galaxy S4 I9505 with CM13:
Modify the following settings in build.prop to read:
--ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
--persist.audio.fluence.speaker=false.
Whenever I speak with someone in a call, they hear their voice back as an echo. This is with the normal speaker against your ear (not tried it with the speakerphone).
My build.prop file doesn't have the persist.audio.fluence.speaker=false line. I just altered the other line and it fixed the issue! The build.prop file can be found in the root\system folder
I would post the URL to properly credit the person who posted this fix, but as a new forum user I'm not allowed to post URLs yet :-/

I already wrote explanation and solutions to fix this problem here, wrote really long post, but this stupid forum script cleared the form, because it logged me out in meantime. TL;DR:
For me it was a HARDWARE PROBLEM.
Couldn't figure it out, because I first changed broken screen and immediately installed CyanogenMod. Why would the screen be responsible for an echo? Ridiculous, I thought. Especially when echo was present only when using PHONE app, but not HANGOUTS app. I was sure Cyanogen was bugged.
After longer time I discovered seller actually sold me Screen + frame, that was missing a small rubber, which after assembly to rest of phone, covered the mic. So all the problems with echo was caused by lack of small rubber.
When you use android phone app and GSM, sound quality is usually low, also people set volume to max. This causes whole phone body to vibrate from the top (ear speaker) to bottom (mic), causing the echo that only other person can hear.
Hangouts app didn't cause this echo, because quality of voice is better and it's quieter, thus doesn't make phone vibrate.
Other solutions I found:
- take off the case if you got one, some cover second mic used for sound cancellation
- disable TalkBack app (by Google)
- disable/enable sound cancellation in phone settings (I don't have that option on my phone)

I've had this echo problem on my i9500 ever since I installed CyanogenMod 12.
Today I finally decided to install GearCM custom ROM (based on CyanogenMod 13), and I'm very happy with it so far. Just tried talking to someone and they didn't hear themselves anymore. And of course, Android 6 is a nice bonus.

Looks like Oreo is out for the Chineses. If someone got the OTA could you make a backup (I guess System, Boot, maybe bluetooth is enough?) and send it here? I'm sure they are already on it on Turkdevs and 4pda but still...
So we're getting MiFavor and Stock+ oreo. How nice is that

Where is news of this? I searched and haven't found anything about it. Exciting. I hope we get it in US soon. It's probably 8.0 but it's still Oreo!

if it's B07 get a backup. Although other people are already trying to get it.

It's work. I don't see a lot of news. Security patch to january 2018, some news icones, a new search bar with app suggestions and a Life & services page on the last left page. PIP mode is working, nice feature. Anything else i should try ?

Unfortunately no it seems.
Oh well, software support has been better than most companies out there, we shouldn't expect much more.

I installed on my U device from NFound. But couldn't root it with Magisk and it doesn't boot. SuperSU is not working too

Still bad battery performance. 7-8 hr screen on time compared to AOSiP's 12 hrs and ColorOS's 10-11 hrs.

I'm still on Android 9, A.10, global version, using phone in Europe, everything intact. Waiting for official OTA.
Should I be worried?

Why wait for the ota? Just download the file from oficial site and flash through the original file manager.

I confirm, still an excessive battery drain, bad update

Any have missing smart sidebar? It should be under convenience settings.

I updated my phone from c23 to c25 by downloading the official file.
I had issues with Google pay recognising my phone as rooted ( it was rooted earlier in c10, but now it is not; the recovery is also the official one) the problem persists. The bootloader is unlocked
Any recommendations on rectifying this without losing my installations or data?
Do I Need to root it and install magisk hide? I went into bootloops when I tried it earlier.

It's because of unlocked BL.

So we are back to no fingerprint when rooting the phone. Are we expecting this to be fixed anytime soon?

I feel everything is much more laggy, even after a factory reset.
Anyone else facing this problem?

Magisk hide no longer works since the March security patch it is no more possible to hide root anymore.
There is an article on XDA news about it, look for it
