Can a SM-G360V (Verizon) phone be changed or flashed to use the AT&T network? - Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Questions & Answers

I have a Galaxy Core Prime that was used on the Verizon network in the USA. I would like to use it on the AT&T network instead. I am aware that this will require the phone to use GSM instead of CDMA. I did put an AT&T Sim card into the device, and it could not find any service.
Will the hardware support using GSM? If so, do I need to flash the phone with new firmware? I believe that the SM-G360A (Cricket version) worked on the AT&T network.
Thanks in advance,

cover on sim card slot for verizon xv6900

Hi
my sister bought from US a verizon xv6900 and now I want to use it in a different country?is it anyway to remove this cover on slot and insert a sim in it or the sim card slot is not working for this device?
thank you for your helps.
No, there isn't. An xv6900, and most phones on Verizon's CDMA network, do not use a SIM card. You will not be able to use this phone in Europe. There are no Verizon compatible networks there. Some of Verizon's phones have both a CDMA and a GSM radio in them, so they will work on both types of networks. The xv6900 is not one of them.
Verizon uses a cellular technology called CDMA, which is completely incompatible with the technology used in Europe, GSM.
ok....bad news
thank you very much...

As far as I'm aware, Verizon phones are not "locked" per se. They are CDMA devices, so do not use a SIM card, and their ESN number must be registered on the carriers network in order to work.
So, to get a Verizon Tab to work on another CDMA network, you'd need to ask the new carrier to register the device's ESN on their network. Often this is much easier said than done, since some carriers (notably Verizon I'm told) do not like to register "foreign" devices on their networks.
I've no idea which carrier you want to use a Tab on, but if it's not a CDMA network, the Verizon Tab is of no use to you.

[Q] MetroPCS using a T-Mobile S4

I want to move over to MetroPCS with an unlocked S4, running off their t-mobile network. Will I be able to use the wifi texting feature that regular tmobile supports on t-metro??
Thanks

How to make a sch-i545 to a i9505? Or be compatible with the t-mobile network?

It's running lollipop oc1 and I have flash fire...
It is possible to change the phone to GSM from CDMA, but you have to be on a stock ROM and you have to have a service menu which can be accessed by the dialer. I don't believe the Verizon version has the service menus however as Verizon removed them. If I'm correct about that, there is no way to change the phone to GSM, which you need for T-Mobile. Even if you can do it, it's highly unlikely you would get LTE as the Verizon phone doesn't use and doesn't have the T-Mobile LTE frequencies.

G900P unlocked but can't get T-mobile data

I got my SM-G900P phone Internationally and Domestically unlocked, and while I can get voice to work on a T-mobile sim, I am unable to get data to work.
I'm currently on the stock Sprint 5.0 rom, I have also rooted the device.
I have also added the T-mobile APN, and have the network set to T-mobile, but still no luck
I'm not sure what I should do to get the mobile data to work.
Wondering if I flash a T-mobile rom, would that brick the phone? And would that unlock the bands?
Any and all help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
bump for some help
I know Sprint operates on CDMA while T-Mobile uses GSM technology.
I don't know if the G900P has the hardware capabilities to operate on GSM LTE bands. But it is interesting that you got the voice to work!
Try this page. He had a Verizon (CDMA) phone and got it to work on the AT&T (GSM) network. So apparently it is possible, and your situation is similar in trying to use a cdma phone on a gsm network.

Thanks for the link!
I already had tried what he did previously, adding the APN, sadly that didn't work for me . And once I had unlocked the phone I enabled GSF and got the voice to work. But sadly that's the farthest I've gotten
