camera taking forever to focus - OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Questions & Answers

So my camera is sometimes very slow to focus or won't focus at all until I put my finger in front or an object for it to focus on.
Anyone else having this issue?

I had it too. Had my phone reset couple of times but it was still there. But after some time it was just gone. I did nothing.

Have you tried to clean up laser AF sensor on the back of the device? Or maybe you are using non T OP7 pro case which covers it completely?

Mine doesn't have that. It's a 7t pro 5g mclaren

Hmmm, me too except 5G and my unit has that sensor, even alcantara case has cutout for it.

Wow. I feel like such a noob. I had no idea about the McClaren case in the bottom of the box. Found out thru here https://forum.xda-developers.com/7t-pro/accessories/psa-careful-provided-case-1-7t-mclaren-t4024469
But also thanks to you. My problem is solved. The poetic case does not have the cutout.

Not a problem Mate! I'm glad you are fine now ?

I'm sure its not hardware problem because before the update it was not looking like this. And yes,the lens is clean. Tried cleaning it a lot of times but looks like its with the camera software.
Have you taken several shots to see if it's in the same place each time?
Sadly they're always on the same spot. I'm downloading my old firmware now (KE7) and hopefully it goes back to normal.
duuuude u have takin a picture to a ghost kiddin. try to chance the resolution of ur camera.
oh, btw, one question: they appear in the picture 2? or u can see it just on u`r sgs2 screen?
They appear on the picture too as you can see it in the picture i posted.
indeed, sorry, i`m a little bit tired. How is with the downgrade? something changed?
Just checked mine on kf3 and no spots, look at the glass protecting your camera and look for small scratches or marks? It could be that sadly?

[Q] Dust under the camera lens?

Hi! I bought G2 just a week ago and I just need to confirm if this issue exists for others as well. Not to mention that I've used my phone extremely clearly and kept it out of dusty areas. The dust is under the lens, not above.
In any case, could someone suggest me what I can do to remove it or prevent further scratches?

I'm worried if my phone has weak sealings cause my old Xperia arc had dust appear under its lens only after a year or 2 of use. :/

Moto G4 photo errors

Hi guys!
I have a problem with my wife's Moto G4. Front camera (stock app) is taking pictures with errors (see attachment). When this happens all controls (shutter button, camera switch, etc) dissappear from the screen. Front camera works fine.
Could this be a hardware issue?

C'mon guys. Anybody?
Have you tried using a different camera app? This looks like a software bug
I used to have that problem, but it seems disappeared with the last update.
This is a software bug which mainly happens after double twist gesture to launch camera. This seems to go away in last update though
Moto G4 is after update, still the same. Wipe did not help...

Is it happening always or only some times
3 out of 7 times. Front camera. Rear is OK (besides constant focusing....)
You should go to warranty.

Design or Flaw? Camera Ring Groove

Hello guys,
My friend got a oneplus 5 and it has a groove on the upper middle of the camera ring? Do you guys have it to or is it some mechanical flaw
sure it doesn't affect the glass now but I'm worried the glass is more prone to cracking now..maybe. Anyway today is day one so there is ability to get it replaced so let me know thanks!

That's so funny because when I opened the box it was like the first thing I noticed. And I thought, what the heck is that! It's definitely part of the design though. As somebody pointed out I guess it's for NFC. Which makes sense.

Camera Problem - "Ghost" Reflection

Hi, I've been using a Redmi Note 7 for three weeks now and I'm very happy with the device.
Yesterday I took some photos and found a weird reflection in the ones that have a strong light source. The lenses are clean and I've tried with the stock camera and the GCam, with case and without case, but the "ghost" reflections are still there. The effect occurs in both front and rear cameras.
When researching, I've found that it could be lens flare or internal reflection. However, I'd like to know if other Note 7 users have experienced the same thing or if it could be a problem with my phone's hardware.
Thanks!

How strange, I have no problems with that and I doubt it is a global camera problem, it must be failing something with your lens maybe

Then it may be an internal problem, what a shame. It seems that I will need to replace the phone. Thanks for your response!
