Please suggest a simple ringtone and caller id management software where I can assign a ringtone to a group of contacts from my contact list.
I have few groups in my contact list . (Personal, work, vip etc ) I want to have a different ringtone for each group.
“Ringo mobile” was very good at this but this software if blocking the diamond "mute ring" button and its unusable. "Face down" for muting the call is not working also.
What do you use?

I am highly interested in this one myself. Under no circumstances I want to change ringtones for 50+ contacts! Just once for "colleagues", once for "friends", once for "VIPs" etc.

I would like to change the ringtone of each contacts but these contacts are under the same group, is there any way to change the group's ringtone?
Now I have no choice but to change them manually one by one.

Is there a way of having a different tone for a new SMS and a different tone for a new Email recieved?
At the moment, all notifications sound the same, so you cannot distiguish between new email, sms etc, without looking at the phone.

Go to the relevant app e.g. gmail and then click menu and then change the notification sound to whatever you want...
You can set the sms sound in the sms settings, not for emails though so I guess emails use the default notification sound.
In Gmail menu > more > select ringtone
and you can change what appears in the list by creating folders for the notifications, then moving the sounds there
Problem with the phone is you can't have different tones for different people which is annoying.
You can have different ringtones for different contacts....
what happened to setting a specific ringtone for a contact.. the contact menus seem to not have this setting any longer.. is it a bug?
found it for others looking .. it is no longer under edit contact.. strange.. it is on the main contact menu when you select a contact.. there is a separate ringtone you can set.
i have kept separate ringtone for particular contact. but during messages from that contact also am getting same ringtone. is there any setting to change that ringtone for calls only?? help me..
