Baterry issues, randomly drops from 30% to 0% after plugging into charger - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

So ive had my s8 for almost a year now, and for the last month i started having some problems with the phone. Im not going to mention the display burn in and discoloration along the edges(I always have the brightness set to only about 50% and dark mode), the baterry has been acting up.
So one of the problems is that when the phone hits 15% and i plug it into a charger, the baterry percentage looks like a countdown, literally. I see the baterry drop from 15% to 3 in a 30 second span, in charger. But when i continue using it withou plugging it in it can last about 10 minutes with heavy use.
Also about 15 minutes ago my phone dropped to 0% after i turned the screen if on 20%, happened to me even with 45% before. I have screenshots of the battery drops.
Also i think i should mention that i have a custom rom, light rom. i had renovate ice before light rom for about 2 months, and now im using light rom for about 2 months aswell. The baterry problems started happening like 1 month ago.
And yes i have recalibrated the baterry(let it die and charge to 100% without turning it on, this is what i found. If you can give me a better tip to recalibrate it please go ahead.) Also the samsung codes on dialer dont work so i cant check my baterry info.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

I actually got 9h 40m on 2% i was waiting to get 9h 45m before i took another screenshot just missed out by 5 minutes either way im happy to lose 1% for almost every 5h.
I fully charged the phone before I went to sleep unplug it and when i woke up i found i only lost 2%
using XXKF2 VillianROM 1.4
quick question, is that screen cap from the regular sgs2 or from a battery app?
just normal regular sgs2 screen cap no battery apps used.
for me with VillaimROM 1.4
Is there an app that compares actual battery usage as mA hours or whatever the relevant unit of measurement is?
These graphs are interesting but we can't see the actual battery usage as the % is misleading.
Terrible battery with VillainROM 1.4
Hey,
Here are my stats. I'm not blaming VR 1.4; I'm just posting my stats. It could be a problem with my phone, I dunno. Anyway, here they are:
Battery Life: 16 hours 1 minute 28 seconds
Screen on: 57 minutes 3 seconds!!!

overnight battery drain (wakelocks)

So overnight my battery goes from 100% to 85%, in a matter of 6hours.
Here are my wakelocks

No1 is going to help?
My friend dont worry it is not a major problem and it is in our hands to make the things perfect
uninstall the battery widgets and install fancy widgets. The BW is drainning your battery and still there is no fix for it. In the background backup is also running hence go to settings->privacy->disable the backup & restore.
Switchoff the phone fully and plug the charger in and once it reaches 100% mark( make sure you check continously), unplug the charger and remove the battery and wait for 10 minutes.
Then put the battery back on and press volumeup , home and power together to enter in to recovery mode and clear the battery stats and power on the device. Once the device is on, the battery should be on 100%.
USe the phone normally and do the charge and discharge normal.
I was facing the same problem, no this way i resolved my issues and right now my battery is on 9% with the following details
Phone: 22hrs 18mins
display : 3hrs 46mins
voice calls: 2hrs 24mins
wifi: 15mins
bluetooth: 50secs
If you still face the problem PM me
Note: Use sync (Google services) only when required for this you can use widgetosoid from the market or else make sync once in 1 hour. Your problem will be resolved

Battery drain?

Stock ROM, unlocked and rooted, flashed LTE enabler zip. Still on JWR66V.
Charged phone yesterday, went out, when I got home it was still around 70% battery so I did not put it in the charger. Woke up, tried to open Facebook messenger to read a message, app took a bit to load, so I just closed it and put the phone down. When I looked again, it was at 18% battery. Hardly used it.

Any ideas? Took it off the charger about an hour ago at 91% now at 79 with little use.
Turn off Facebook auto update and gps
Sent from my shiny new(bought last Nov), scratch less Nexus 4!
Why would either of those things cause a battery drain like that?
Seems a little less since a shut down and restart. But still curious..?
You have Google Services battery drain. Check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385843
Yeah, also make sure currents isn't auto updating..
Anything pulling data on a regular basis will use battery.. Notifications, etc because they cause the app to basically run all the time.

I get all that. I've never seen this much of a battery drop while the phone was idle.
Yeah, all my sync is on and i'm constantly connected to wifi. Never seen a idle drop that much.

Quick charge or not?

So, I had to change my original Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime charger 'cause I lost it, and I went for AUKEY quick charger -> https://www.amazon.it/AUKEY-Caricabatterie-Caricatore-Samsung-iPhone/dp/B01AHYR04M, tempted by the possibility of charging my phone in less than the usual 2 hours.
However, I'm realizing now I probably did a bad move, since I'm reading many posts about how using a quick charger can reduce your battery life on the long run, some state they've used quick charge from the beginning (I mean right after they bought their phone) and they had to change battery or phone after one year and half more or less, not even able to reach more than 2 years, whereas some other claim they've always used a normal charger and their battery is as still good as the "old" times.
I'm thinking about sending the charger back and take a normal one, what's your opinion about it? Should I go for a charger with 2.0A in output?
R4P doesn't have Quick Charge compatibility in any case. It'd probably overheat like crazy even if it did.
Sure it has...

... see that circle around the thunderbolt icon? That means fast charging, when I charge the phone with a non quick charger, it only appears the thunderbolt. And it's also stated in the block screen, "Fast charging".

Nexus 6P new battery quick discharge 1000mA

Hello Team,
after 2,5 years I replaced my old battery. I received the origin Huawei HB416683ECW 3450mAh and replaced it
However it is draining / discharging faster than the old one.
- I performed calibrations as on the picture
Method 1. Still discharging fast
- performed factory reset - renewed the application - still discharging fast
- wiped all partitions, flashed the latest angler imager (dec 2018) and ragvans 4core fix. Installed only "devcheck" and "AccuBattery". Still showing discharge current about 1000 mA. Sometimes is shows 400mA, sometimes 175mA, often it shows higher discharge current (more than 800mA).
Mobile network is 4G, mobile data switched off, only Wifi is switched on and position and bluetooth is also switched off. Adaptive brightness switched offOnly those 2 application running in background, installed.
After 14 min of not using it, battery dropped by 2 %
See timestamp on screenshots
The 4core fix was installed also before battery replacement and it was not discharging so quickly.
On battery is written 2018.
