SOT obviously depends on how you use your phone. For me, I was able to get 8h pretty much consistently & sometimes get to 10h

I have recently bought the redmi note 7 4/64 on latest build and I get between 7 and 10 sot. I just have it a few days but I am quite impressed. My Samsung A50 is way lower then this (it's broken now) and before this RMN7 I used a month a Redmi note 4 with franco kernal and RR rom on Android 9, because of the broken A50, and the A50 was double the price and newer phone. So this is amazing to have this SOT, did not expect this from Miui. (Had once the mi 5) I have all possible juice eating stuff like netflix, FB, messenger, gps, sync etc expect I don't game. I have now 39 percent and I'm on 5 + SOT.

With Miui v7 - 7.5.2 i run out before the phone :laugh: I mean 7/8 hrs of screen on time... With light usage, i can do 3 days.
for me its minimum 9 hrs SOT and in my second use of miui 8 beta it gave me 12 n half hrs SOT with heavy net usage but on the next day the same usage gave me 9 n half hrs SOT.
if u keep using ur mob till it drains to death it will give u 16-18hrs of total battery backup

I have bayed a Redmi 3s (Chinese version). I have already installed google plystore and other google related services and also uninstalled some Chinese app. Then all third party app running properly but Messaging, Contacts, browser don't running or crashed.
Please help me how can i solve this problem

I use RR rom. Min 9 hours of screen on time, medium usage, lte connection. Normally it lasts about 15-18 hours. With casual usage it will last > 24 hours easily.

Don't use china official rom, flash the stable global from xiaomi.eu with TWRP recovery after a wipe and all will work fine.
I cannot link the guide, but search in xiaomi.eu forum.

I've got a G5 at the moment (H860) and it's battery life sucks but camera is amazing. I've had for about a month a Xiaomi note 4 rooted with custom ROM that had almost no idle drain, 6h SOT with 40% battery left but a bad camera.
I gave my xiaomi to my brother and I think about selling my G5, and buy the G6, can you guys please tell me if I root a G6 and use a custom ROM I'll get around 6-7h sot ?

I have H870. Im on stock ROM, no root. I have 5-5.5 SOT with 2 days usage. 6-7 SOT with day-day and half. I want use fulmics ROM but im very happy with stock.
on lineage os i get around 7-8 hours of SOT(ive disabled almost all background apps and location syncing and nfc)

I'm on xiaomi.eu MIUI 10 open beta so battery life can be better when it's stable. Buts it's pretty decent right now I'm happy with it.

The battery is what I was looking for in a smartphone. Constantly using it (web browsing, facebooking, gaming, youtubing, etc.) for a day, it could last around 8hrs or more, playing games heavily it could drop to 6hrs. I have been using the phone for around 2hrs per day, and it could last up to 3 days. Ah, I have Always-On enabled. My rom is still China, waiting for bypass time to unlock it.

So you are on miui 10 beta, i am still on miui 9.6.7, i hope it is not the issue. I put most of my apps to "not running in background", some are set with no restriction. But the system still kills all apps once in a while, i am new to xiaomi phone so I still dont know if this can be disabled or not. I have not installed all of my daily drive apps because I want to unlock the bootloader and flash global rom first, i also hope this is not the issue
My normal standby drain is about 12hrs for 10%. Oh, I do go battery settings to solve any detected issues when I am on break. I also hide the notch.
Battery life is solid, running china dev and i get 2 days with total ot 5+ hours SOT. For a non stop use indoor i can go 8+ hours
xiaomi.eu ROM (up to 8.8.30) drains battery fast, 15-20% per hour with screen on, = maximum of 4.5-5h SOT. With global stable or global beta ROM getting around 8-8.5h SOT, 10-15% during usage.
Yesterday i bought the phone, fully charged and at 25% i got 7h+ screen on time.. which is completely amazing!! Global stable 9.6 here..
You can easily get over 7 hours of SOT, and more than 30 hours on one charge.

Hi people I wanna alert everybody: DO NOT UPGRADE TO MIUI 10. It drains so much battery than miui 9.6 stable. I've wiped full data, it drains less than before ,but more than 9.6. global stable. I post screeshots

Having 44Hours since last charge of which 4:40 are SOT with 19% battery left.
With xiaomi.eu oreo i've at least 5h SOT and i can arrive at night with no problem

LTE - 4-6h depends on usage
I've got easy 8 hours on WiFi (YouTube, Facebook and so on)

Not sure about best ROM yet but I can vouch on the stock 10.3.5 no root and 2 days into my new phone, I've got the highest battery life on Android yet over the years just by using the Redmi Note 7.
Saturday, I got a whopping 2 days of full use (radios on, YouTube videos, 1.5 hours of calls, web browsing, social media, taking pictures etc) with 10.5 + hours of screen on time a single charge!
I couldn't believe my eyes at the end of the night when I finally put the phone back on the charger.
See the screen shot. This battery in the Redmi Note 7 is awesome!

Redmi Note 7 is a nice phone but for sure not a battery phone. The 11 days of battery life of my last phone, Vernee X Pro, are nowadays a mirage

I am not a hard user, only using emails, whatsapp, internet ... (no games or movies) but I only have 5-6 hours SOT.
I have as well restricted many apps in the background.
The battery is not draining when I am not using my phone, or a very little drain 2% but as soon as i use my phone, the battery goes down very quick.
Main consumer is Android system with 30%.
I did a factory reset on the 12.0.2.0 version, still bad SOT and last week I had the 12.0.3.0 update, SOT unchanged (5-6 hours).
I have seen many subjects on the forum but i feel like not everybody found a solution for having a nice SOT (8-10 hours). I usually keep my phone 2 days without charging it, with same apps. But today i mostly need to charge it everyday.
Are you guys in the same boat?
If not what is your SOT, and what ROM or setting do you use?
I would prefer to stay on a official ROM if possible.
I becoming desperate with this poor SOT, thinking to go back on miu10... which is a shame because i bought this phone to enjoy last os.

You can try the global version,( 12.0.5) or a custom rom like xiaomi.eu that uses a debloat version of chinese rom, stable and weekly.

What is your SOT with the global rom?
I don't use global, my rom is last Xiaomi.eu stable ( 12.0.4). And i don't know the SOT. But it's fine for me.

SOT means Screen On Time, you can see it in "Battery & performance -> Battery usage stats.
Right now, my SOT is 2h40min and I have 46% battery left. So I would probably get around 5hours SOT once my battery is gone.
I think it is very little but I would like to know if people have similar SOT to mine?

Please flash a rom which is caf based ASOP doesn't make sense to Snapdragon driven phone
*I myself use pa quartz 4 edition ( sadly no quartz 5 )
*I got upto 14 hours of sot once that was just with browsing @25-30% brightness with mobile data on
*I've restricted all unwanted **** including google assistant , I'm running gappa pico edition , I use Google Chrome for satisfying my needs of Gmaps , Gmail etc. ( Ofcourse I've disabled "Google" app too, along with vibration and all kinds of hepatic feedback including touch sounds on dialer )
And I get An average of 10 hours SOT watch the screen shot.
I'm talking every 10%=1hour or 1hour+.
TRADEOFF : FOD - in this rom fod never works fine and is broken. if you need fod or if you prefer it over the double tap to wake + pattern mode which I myself use now you should rather get yourself PIXEL EXPERIENCE or lineage os 17.1 . (FOD WORKS Steamlessy on PE rom , 2ndly on lineage os but battery life never gets better than this it's always under 10 hours but all these 3 are way ahead of all miui roms which no MI bloatware and fake optimization only part about miui is that FOD and our device has a lot of hidden bugs which you don't find in our day to day usage which I got exposed to myself after messing up my persist image a while back ).
The last versioni of miui 12 and 11 have bad sot. On 12.0.2 i had also a battery drain with screen of now on the 12.0.3 in 7 hours i have 3% of battery discarghe with screen off but with screen on the drain Is vert higt 20% of hour.

I'm on MIUI Global 12.0.3.0 and I constantly get max of 4.5 hours SOT.
1 hour calls
3 hours social media and messaging
Brightness around 90% fixed
mixed LTE & WIFI usage

Hi, yes I see yours is even worse than mine.
Have you tried a factory reset with the new 12.0.3.0?
I guess you should try to use automatic brightness because 90% is a lot and may consume lots of energy.
The last 2 days, I have tried the saver mode and the battery actually last much longer.
I am around 8.5-9 hours SOT now. I have activated the auto synchronisation to get updates in live.
I will continue on this set up this week, but I am pretty happy with this SOT, it gave me almost 2 days without charging now.
