Native Gallery Editor - choppy video
I have a problem with the native Gallery editor for video. I noticed that playback is smooth, however, once I start to edit (change Contract, Saturation, etc), the video becomes choppy. So far, I have only tested this on [email protected] using H264 and H265. Apparently if I use [email protected], the playback after video editing is smooth. I noticed the same choppy video playback using FilmoraGo and VideoShow. Any suggestions?

I did a quick test and had no problems. I'm glad everything is smooth. Because in most reviews I watched the video always had lags /1~sec.

In reviews, I saw that [email protected] is stuttering while panning. Is there any fix to it? Like use another camera app? Open cam?

there's no fix other than buying Mi 10, which drops frames with snap 865 but that's all Xiaomi is capable off

If you use OpenCamera app you can edit mbps and fps exactly and then the frame drop problem will be solved.

Whoah there, you can record vids in 60 FPS in open camera?

Und slowmotion?!! Really disappointing...

Yes, slow motion uses cropped image from ultrawide camera, not main lens. That is also disappoint for me, but probably this is limitation of the sensor - the Mi 10 Pro also uses ultrawide for slow motion videos, not main camera, even if it has fast SD865. By the way, regular Mi 10 does not have slow motion at all

I'm using lastest Gcam mod from Urnyx and 1080/60fps is smooth as **** now but i can only use the main sensor, no wide angle, macro nor telephoto for video.
Get it from here: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v1.7-fix.apk

The Android 10 Update that i just got via OTA, FIXED all the video stuttering problems with the camera, i'm experiencing no stutterings at all now!!! it's amazing!!!

Slow motion @720p on Moto g4 plus?

I used oneplus camera 1.5 October build and the slow motion it record is at 720p 10mbps
On comparing with stock camera when you record slow motion in low light you will see the difference in quality
and detail.
These are the screenshot
Edited :In mx player it is playing in 30 fps it means it is not slowed down like stock

Of course, but it's still just 30FPS. Slo-mo captured with stock camera is also saved with 30FPS but it's already slowed down. I've captured 2seconds of video and the video from OnePlus camera is [email protected] while that from Motorola is [email protected]

Please , do a mini test of the microphone in a loud environment, I´m interesed to Switch to this phone, thanks.
Is it right when you record 4k 60fps it very laggy or stuttery video.....thats because theres isnt any stabiliozer.
I am really thinking buy Oneplus 6 ....but if the 4k 60fps videos are so bad i am off.
Earlier i had a Huawei p10 its was also stuttering video

It uses OIS for 4k60fps according to the AMA
I got oneplus 6 today and recorded my son on 4k 60fps. It is really a great camera. No stutering. Video turned out great
Here's an OIS and EIS explanation on the OP6.....
https://youtu.be/bdcld2ux-tA
So you are absolutely not expering any stutering with 4K 60fps like Video below
https://youtu.be/bdcld2ux-tA
Its stutering because of OIS. Very weird
?

I made video 4k 60 fps siting down. My kid moved around and video was fine. No stutering at all.
I 'll make some more testing tomorrow ?
I think this should answer all questions. Only recorded in 1080p 60fps mode, but I was mainly looking for the audio quality. And from my perspective, that time has come where OnePlus 6 can record concerts, may not be perfect, but I can live with it ??? My life is now complete.

Guys I am still waiting my order to be delivered
Anyway I heard that you can only capture max 5min video on 4k 60fps is that correct?

One Plus 6 Slow Motion 240 fps 1920 x 1080 Full HD
Video created using the fast camera option (slow motion) of the new OnePlus flagship, the OnePlus 6, as a source. Recorded at 240 fps with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 Full HD.
OnePlus 6 with € 20 discount. in accessories: http://bit.ly/Oneplus4duros

I'm gonna have to ask again about the loud environments video recording. The 5t will either distort or lower the volume to the point of being unable to hear anything and then gets loud again. My Moto's never had an issue like that, and nor do, dare I even say, most iPhones.
Really worried about it because I want to upgrade but not if this issue isn't nixed. Ideally, a festival, concert, or nightclub would be great to try this in.
My OnePlus 6 is on the way
See if the camera is better then OnePlus 5?
I tried to capture "Night time" timelapse vs normal video on OP6, but was not happy with the results.
Normal Video is almost dark at times.
Here they are :
The sound during video recording at concerts is superbad. If this is a factor, don't get it.

Xiaomi lying/misleading about slow motion
Has anyone else noticed that slow motion videos, both resolutions 1080p/720p and both framerates 240fps/120fps, are only software-upscaled from lower resolution?
If you don't believe, try to record the same scene once in 1080p/30fps and then in 1080p/240fps and play the videos on the computer.
There are horrible squares (blocks) in 240fps version.
My guess is they are originally recorded in 540p or 480p and upscaled to 1080p.
I'm very disappointed
The device has firepower for everything the year-tops do, but Xiaomi is capping it with its software.

In the videos i've recorded, with little no camera movement and only the subject moving the image quality at 240fps looks exactly the same as 1080p. So i will assume it's exactly this, i havent tested the files, but its probably using the same or only just slightly higher bitrate for the 240fps version.
could be better, maybe with an update, that can be fixed
xiaomi mi 8 960 fps super slow motion
The Camera for me has improved a lot, but now it would be good to improve the super slow camera, and the recording time of it, I have compiled this video and you can see how some effects of the slow 960fps camera seems not to be real, judge your.
Xiaomi mi8 super slow motion 960 fps.
https://youtu.be/pg-Z8ZEwL8c
It's not actually 960s, it's software post-processing/interpolation of a 240fps video

Beware that 4K video is limited to 10 minutes per clip, and 4K 60FPS video is limited to 5 minutes per clip. 3rd party apps have no access to 4K 60FPS recording mode and can only use the main camera.

Curious to know how the sound quality, especially at loud music events, is on recordings. Anyone have any demos?
Ultrawide video
Don't know why oneplus 7 doesn't know how to shoot ultra-wide-angle video? Will this update unlock this option? Thank you

Wide video is very possible. There are clips on YouTube demonstrating our phone's wide angle capabilities. I think we will get it officially through on OTA

So in which modes OIS works? 1080p 60fps does it work? 1080p 30fps? 4K 60fps works too?
Στάλθηκε από το GM1913 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk
OIS only works on 1080p 60fps and 4K 60fps.
In the newest update they added 4K wide lens video recording (previously to use wide angle lens you needed to use 1080p).
wow excellent
This is exactly what I am trying to work out. I want use of all 3 lenses so use 30fps 1080p but when I use video ois doesn't seem to work.. Wtf is going on with this phone that ois doesn't work? Or does it not have ois on the main lens? So confused.

Video is smooth and clear especially with Gcam.
60 fps video is very laggy. Slowmo in my case is insanely laggy. 5-6 second long freezes. Hopefully Android 10 and RealmeUI will fix it. Otherwise I'll sell this phone
At 30fps 720p and 1080p, look good, but the EIS can't be disabled. Sometimes kindda bit annoying especially when doing panning. 4K the EIS is disabled by default, but I never use it, overkill for my phone screen and consume space to much.
At 60fps, up until RMX1971EX_11_A.16 firmware, it's kindda laggy. Is not pure or locked at 60fps. Feel's like variable frame rate. Image you playing a PC Video Game in 60 Hz monitor, and you turn on V-Sync, but your GPU couldn't handle the frame rate, and give you frame dip or stuttering. That what I saw with 60 fps video recoding in Realme 5 Pro.
Last, for slowmotion, 120fps and 240fps look smooth if you have enough light source. 960fps is not smooth, but I think due it's hardware limitation.
Latest firmware RMX1971_11_C.01 fix the 60fps issue. The video looks smooth. But I facing issue the EIS seem like disabled on 30fps, but it can be fix by clear camera cache and data.
does it support 4k hevc 10 bit videos ? has anyone tested those jelly fish videos in it

60 fps is BETTER but not smooth. Still the are fps drops. Redmi 5 pro for instance (sd636) is very smooth
