n910c charges only at 1a on a 2a charger

so i lost my fast charger which i didn't didn't use anyway as i kept fast charging unchecked in phone settings
now i got a new romoss charger which is a good charger AFAIK. it is rated at 2.1a, plugged it in and it took too long to charge. i downloaded an app called Ampere to measure the current and the maximum it gets is about 1000mA.
i thought the new charger was ****ty so i tried my friend's LG charger 1.8a and got the same results. tried another 2.1a samsung charger and nothing exceeds 1a.
is it something wrong with my phone or is it software related?
i'm using eRobot's newest rom with spaceX kernel (also tried googymax and suemax kernels). tried to check the fast charge option and again, same results.
any opinions or thoughts are much appeeciated
thanx
You need a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 compatible charger in order utilize adaptive fast charging on your Note 4([email protected] & [email protected] output). Buy new Note4,Nexus 6,Motorola X Style charger. Also make sure your USB cable is undamaged/good quality, since not all cables actually support fast charging.
i dont need to use it as a fast charger, i just want it to charge with 5v 2a which the chareger is capable of

Fast wireless charging

Hey, thinking about buying the new fast wireless charger. Can someone who has a fast wireless charging pad tell me how long it takes to wirelessly fast charge the phone? Thanks
Mine takes around 3hrs to fully charge S8 from 10%
But I find out that wireless charging is much hotter than wired charging even though wire charging is nearly 2 times faster

Quick Charge 3.0

Hey guys,
I love the charger that came with the phone and tracking the amps and volts I get about 2700mA at 4volts, which is about 12Watts, but never the full 18Watts (9Voltsx2Amps). But that's not bad, as it still charges real fast.
The big problem I have is that I have several Quick Charge 3.0 compatible chargers that offer the various Outputs----- Cable Output: QC 3.0 3.6-6V/3A, 6.2-9V/2A, 9.2-12V/1.5A (18W Max), but I only get about 700mA with 4Volts!
Is anybody else seeing this? Is it disabled by accident like the other ASUS Zenfones?

3300mAh (non-removable)
BoostMaster Fast Charging: 60% battery capacity in 39 minutes (18W)
PowerDelivery 2.0
Quick Charge 3.0
Yeah, same problem here as I mentioned in your thread on the Zentalk forums ... not impressed ... picked up an additional QC 3.0 wall charger, and a QC 3.0 car charger, and neither trigger the phone into "Fast Charging" mode ... they still charge fast - but the worst part of all is I'm not sure they're "talking" and tapering off the power as the battery fills up, because the phone is getting quite hot at the high end of the charge - and that is the main reason I went and spent money on QC 3.0 chargers - not as much for a faster charge as a charge that is easier on the battery so it hopefully has a good long life :-/

help

Will my axon 7 charger correctly Whit an aukey 3.0 quick charger 18 w ... Some how my kiddos lost my charger and now and can quick charge the phone so I order 1 from amazon
I have such an aukey QC3 car charger and it works and is very fast.
QC Quick Charge 3 may not be the fastest method but at least it's a standard that aftermarket manufacturers can make products for. This is good for long term ownership. I mostly don't fast charge my A7 anyway. I just use a generic 2.4 amp charger and let it charge overnight. Hoping the battery lasts longer.
I use a Dodocool Quick Charge 3.0 charger and it works perfectly with the Axon 7. I'm sure the Aukey one would be the same.
Thanks for the help I was going nutz since I lost the original charger

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

with 27W Charger the phone charges from 0 to 55 percent in about 30 mins and 0-100 percent in about 1Hr 15-20mins.
charging speed depend on battery temperature. fastest charging if temp below 35 degree C, around 3500-3700 mA
The charging speed is damn fast.

Are you serious? My 18watt Charger that comes with the box takes 30mins to reach 50% and takes 1hr 25mins for full charge. Then why 27watt??

in my stock charger it charges 44% in 30mins and 1hr 30mins to full charge. Difference is only about 20% while it should be 50% more faster as 27W is 50% more power of 18W.

You are correct. Difference is just around 20% which is not acceptable.
i've decided not to waste money to buy the 27w charger after watching this..
I have two power delivery charger both capable to charge up to 60w. When I connect phone to both charges doesn't matter which one and which cable I use currently it always display fast charging text and icon. Why it doesn't go on turbo charging? If I know the phone support qc 4.0 and PD and it should turbo charge on my chargers, right? Anyway I noticed 3300-3600 mAh however it doesn't really look charge as fast as in reviews.
Some people reported 4A but according to qc 4.0 specification it's rather about 3A at 9A. What's the real charging voltage for our Xeromi?

It seems Xiaomi uses a proprietary protocol for it's 27W Turbo charge. For now I've not seen any other charger capable of charging it on 27W other than the Xiaomi one.
Chinese people are used to lying. Phone doesn't support qc 4.0 and doesn't weight 190 g. It weight over 200 g (200.5g)
The phone charges at 300-500ma when using pubg even when using a 18w qc3 charger which normally charges at 2800ma. Anyone else facing this bug?

Nope i didn't seen it but mine working great i have usb tester so i can check everything about charging i didn't seen charging at 0.5A
Your saying it charges at 2800ma but this is working actually at charges at 9V & 2A so 18W charging but those ampere & accu battery are showing differently. First i thought they are genuine after i bought USB tester I learned a lesson they are wrong

I tried a Belkin 27W QC 4.0 charger(attached), Macbook Air 30W original Charger and one more 45W Type-C charger.
But non of them shows Turbo Charging. Not even the Quick Charging message comes up when using the original 18W charger.
Saw this charger on AliExpress with a seller who had feedback saying it gives Turbo charging.

Do you have pubg installed & would it be possible for you to check charging current while game is running in foreground please?
Also btw my charger also has a 5v&3A mode so that's why it was showing ~2.8A

It's not a bug i guess... Its a OS thing .. some custom rom uses the force fast charge option... Then the phone will charge fast even we use the phone or play games.. but in stock roms they disabled the force fast charge thing... So when in idle, phone charges around 3000mah but when using the phone it comes down to around 1000mah or even lower while playing games
